Great…simple set up, good value
Iâve never had Cricket service – didnât want to have to go out into a store so figured Iâd try this⦠I have to say Iâm pretty pleased with my purchase – iPhone arrived as expected with directions for SIM, device set-up and activation with Cricket. In total everything took about ~25 minutes, most of which was spent getting an AppleID because Iâm a new iPhone user. SIM set-up was easy, I popped it in, turned on and the phone walked me through the prompts/steps⦠pretty straightforward. Device set-up took me the longest mostly to create and then validate an AppleID. Then I did the device activation – I received a Cricket text message with a link to click on to activate the phone. Clicked it, got walked through the process with prompts, and got my new phone number – all pretty quick. Overall, the whole thing was easier than I was expecting. After two days using the phone, the service is great and I like the device â great value and easy set-up.

Great product, service & super easy setup!
I’ve used iPhones since the 5, so I’m not new to iPhones, but this is the first time I have not gone to a store and had someone setup the phone for me. It was super-simple. Insert the SIM, power up the phone and follow the prompts on-screen. No hiccups, no glitches. Easy! Cricket sent a text with a link to set up the phone number. Also very easy – click the link and follow the on-screen prompts.Nice phone from Apple! Great value and service from Cricket! Highly recommend!

Don’t buy an iPhone from Amazon
The phone isfine except I can’t use it yet. Basically, Amazon sales a phone at cost which forces a Cricket subscription. Force may sound like a strong word but they automatically charge $55 dollars for the Cricket subscription when the they only display $0 dollars for the Cricket SIM card. It was so odd on how they tacked on the $55 dollars that my credit card immediately declined it as suspected fraud. I tried to cancel the purchase when I got the fraud alert from my CC card but it was too late. I complained to Amazon, they got rid of all the Cricket Subscription/SIM card nonsense but now I’m stuck with a phone that has a locked SIM card feature that I have to go through apple support to unlock and make the phone usable. Only by an iPhone from Apple or from your carrier. Very disappointed that Amazon participated in such a scammy way to get people on the worse carrier subscription known in the industry. I expect that from Cricket but shame on you Amazon.

Great repeating value and easy setup
I ordered an iPhone SE with Cricket service through Amazon because I get a discount off the Cricket plan ($60 through Cricket, same plan for $55 through Amazon) and because each month I pay my bill through Amazon they give me a credit I can spend on Amazon stuff. So I get a discount on the service and an Amazon credit for paying my bill… sign me up!$55 a month (taxes and fees included) for unlimited everything and 15G of hotspot included. Great coverage, strong audio where I can hear people and they can hear me clearly, fast internet and itâs the newest iPhone without too hefty of a price tag.The package arrived one day after ordering and setup was a breeze! I was able to activate my device on the web from my phone with three simple steps. I was able to select bring over an existing number or get a new one… it was all very seamless and done in a few minutes. There wasnât anything missing so it was as simple as can be.

How is it this cheap?!
All I can say is wow! I have been using this phone and service for a couple weeks now and I am truly blown away! I didnât opt to buy the device on installments through Amazon, but I did really like how simple check out was as a Prime customer. The Phone: This thing is FAST. I was looking to replace an iPhone 8 that wasn’t holding a charge very long and with the upgraded internals of the new SE it was a no brainer to upgrade. I really like the upgraded screen and camera too.Cricket Service: how is this only $55 a month â unlimited everything is great! Since I have been working from home for a few weeks Iâve even used the hotspot service so I can work outside to take a break from my apartment. I have great coverage everywhere Iâve gone so far which is a huge plus over my previous carrier! I highly recommend this.

the headphone port situation still has not been fixed
I like my iPhone SE, but I am writing this review to register my disappointment with how headphones are treated in the Apple ecosystem including with this iPhone. Basically, unless you go with Bluetooth headphones (and adopt something new to charge), you won’t be happy.Let’s say you buy this iPhone and the newest, best MacBook Pro. Now you want wired headphones that work with both. What are you going to do? If you get headphones that plug into a Lightning port, you can’t plug them into your MacBook because it doesn’t have a Lightning port. If you get headphones that plug into a standard audio jack, now you can plug them into your MacBook but not your iPhone unless you get an adapter. Spoiler alert, the adapters are quite a hassle to have plugged into your iPhone at all times (I have tried).Apple could have solved this in several ways: 1) Not getting rid of the headphone jack in its phones (I still haven’t forgotten this horrible decision), 2) Adding a Lightning port to its MacBooks (seems like it would be justified given their price). But instead it did nothing. I hate the idea of needing to charge one more thing, and that is why I am giving this phone 2 stars. If it had a headphone jack it would be 5 stars.

New iphone didn’t last 6 months
I bought a new iPhone SE and in less than 6 months it is virtually unusable as a phone. It won’t stay connected on a call for more than about 3 minutes. It has all of the updates installed.
