Way brighter than Monster
Had a monster bulb, but was not bright enough to use as a regular light. This one is. Works great with the remote or the app. Lots of features on the app, like a firelight or lightning simulator.

First my wifi didn’t want to connect, pain in the butt and yes I have the right freq.I tried connecting multiple times and waited and waited, all that time with the waiting allowed ALL THE MANY pop up ads wanted more money for me to use the bulbs with all the features…..helllllll no.returned.
Brutal Engineering –
Faster than HUE. Must use app or they cycle colors automatically
It took all of a minute to get these connected to google home. I plugged them in, scanned the QR code to get the surlife app from google play, connected to the bulbs via bluetooth, connected the bulbs to wifi in the app, paired the app to google home, and set the bulbs to a room.You need to re-link the app each time you add bulbs.You also must download the app to set everything up. There is no way around it. Without it the bulbs will cycle colors continuously.The colors are pretty close to those of our HUE bulbs, but these cost no where near them. We have no complaints yet. They work as desired and the companion app seems pretty good. Google Home does everything we need without needing to open the other app. The Surlife app has functions similar to HUE where you can set routines and such. Hue’s execution is much more polished, but we have found routines more annoying then helpful. It’s cool to have the lights come on like a sunrise, except when you actually need to see what you are doing. If these last we will be getting more.

Nice RGBW smart lights
Really nice RGBW lights. Pairing with the app and Alexa was easy. I like that it also shared scenes with Alexa and made it really easy to use the app defined scenes. My other lights don’t send their scenes to Alexa so this was nice. The remote is a nice inclusion as well for control when Alexa isn’t available or doesn’t respond. Good value for the 4 pack at $30 at the time of this review.

Rat to see up and easy to program, these smart bulbs can help you save electricity as well as provide mood lighting. I have not used this brand before, but I have noticed that they are a bit different in appearance compared to my other smart bulbs in the fact that they look brighter.

Update: Superb Customer Service. Original: Finicky setup
Update: The customer service I received as a result of my original review has been nothing short of superb. Not only did they reach out to trouble shoot my issue, they patiently explained my options for setting this up with Alexa, sent me detailed instructions and then when that didn’t work, sent me a replacement. Now everything works fine. I still do not have this connected to Alexa because I don’t wish to create yet another account to download yet another app – but the original remote was the problem and the problem is now fixed. I can’t commend this seller enough for their dedicated service. Very impressive. Oh, and the lights work, too. Original: My Alexa wouldn’t connect with these bulbs, and I really do not want to add any more apps to my phone, so I ended up just using them with the remote control. Unfortunately, the remote is somewhat finicky. Sometimes the buttons will work and other times, just the barest brush of a finger changes the light. When I thought I had the color set to a bright white, after a few minutes, it would dim to to a warmer white. I still haven’t figured that one out, but at least I can turn the light on and off. I don’t know if it’s the bulb, the wifi, the remote, or the Alexa, but right now, I wouldn’t give these bulbs more than three stars – and they get that only because they do work without the Smart feature.
