Don’t settle for a weak clipper! Note: clipper has a power screw, it has been adjusted for peak efficiency before leaving the factory. However, if voltage in your home is low, you may need to re adjust it. To adjust power screw, use the plastic brush, a screwdriver or a thin coin to turn power screw in a clockwise direction until the arm strikes the coil, making a noise. Then, slowly turn power screw out (counterclockwise), just until noise stops. This is the maximum power setting. Also, it is important to oil your blades after each use. Great cut
Way worth the extra cash to go to the professional series. The blade cuts so much better. Love the case with cape and all the guards. Great power and easy to switch different guards. Not too heavy. I didn’t find any lighter that are plugged in, but they’re more reliable than battery operated.

We bought this to replace an older Wahl version that has served us well over the years. My wife being able to cut my hair over the years makes an investment in a quality clipper set well worth it, and Wahl has been a brand that has worked well for us. This new set seems to be just as high quality as other sets we’ve had from them. This is definitely not cheap feeling or low-budget. It’s obvious that quality went into these. We’ve only used this once so far but considering what a haircut costs nowadays, it will pay for itself in just a few months, since she trims my hair every couple of weeks because it grows so fast.

High Performance Clippers Pay for Themselves
I have owned quite a few clippers in the 18 years Iâve been married. My husband has always preferred to have his hair cut at home and when we had boys, they preferred home haircuts as well. The boys have really thick hair and our last clippers just werenât working very well without pulling. We decided to look for a really good pair of clippers figuring they would pay for themselves by not having to go to the barber. Plus, working well would make haircuts a little less of a hassle. After a lot of research, we went with the Wahl Elite Pro Haircutting Kit.I have to say that this really is a quality set and that is evident from the starting from the case. The case is a thick, sturdy plastic with a really nice latch on it that works so well. The clipper is very heavyweight but easy to grip even through three haircuts in one day. Itâs definitely much quieter than the models we have previously chosen, so that was a bonus. Also, I can still feel my hands after cutting the boysâ hair, so the vibration isnât too intense either. The clipper has a very long cord, so I can have the boys stand in the bathtub to catch the hair while I cut their hair and there is still room to move around.One of my boys has really thick hair, one has what Iâve been told is beaded hair and itâs very silky feeling, and my husband has thinner, soft hair. This cuts all three hair types without any problems at all.Iâve had this for a while now and Iâd say itâs quite durable as it is still running just like the day I received it. The blades are still sharp and the guide combs still clip securely. The guide combs are a heavy plastic and they lock securely to the clippers when you are using them. The clips are stainless steel, so you can be sure they will last. The guide combs have the sizes embossed into the plastic as well as on the stainless steel clips, so you know exactly what size you are using each time. With three different people wanting three different lengths, that is a life saver for me. No more guess work from ink rubbing off and leaving me without guard sizes.The scissors that come with the set are high quality and come in a case. They are a rounded tip, so that makes me feel a lot safer about using them to clip any stray hairs around my boysâ ears. The set also comes with a very nice apron so you can contain the mess mostly. Excellent Clippers – Horrible Shipmet Packaging From Seller
Excellent product as expected since it is from the Company that makes most of the Clippers that Barbers use. Two reasons I didn’t give it 5 stars. One is that it didn’t come with a sideburn trimmer. It came with all the higher end clipper attachments but a side burn trimmer snap on attachment has to be ordered as an accessory according to the paperwork that came with the unit. That irritates me. After spending nearly $100 on the top of the line offered by Amazon, one would think that to complete a haircut on this price level of a professional type product they could have included the necessary sideburn trimmer. The other reason for the missing star (and it really should be more missing stars – I’m being generous with this rating)is the horrible “Jiffy Bag” packaging. The mostly destroyed “jiffy bag” barely survived the 3,000 mile trip from N.Y. to me in California. It was very good luck that the manufacturer put a Styrofoam insert in their outer box in which the clippers and attachments were placed. Even one end of the box was crushed but the Styrofoam protected its valuable product. The clipper head was at the end of the box where the severe damage was (completely broken through the outer “jiffy bag”) but the manufacturer put a heavy snap on plastic guard over the blades and it did its job – no damage to the clippers or attachments. From the return label, I tried numerous times to phone the Company that shipped the clippers without success. Could never reach a human through their convoluted phone system and finally gave up. No one should ever receive a package in such poor condition as this one was. And, I’ve made up my mind that no matter how much I may look forward to receiving a purchase, if one ever arrives in such horrible condition I’ll return it immediately. I’ve used the clippers once as of this writing using the number 6 attachment and they did an amazing job. I followed the excellent step by step instructions and I actually had friends mention about my new haircut that no one even thought for a moment that I did myself. Beyond my little issue with the absent sideburn attachment, these are excellent clippers.

Item returned as not suitable for Australian 240v power despite several websites indicating the Wahl model I purchased was suitable for 110 – 240v. Amazon have agreed to replace the item as damaged when powered into 240v.
