Good Value, Works As Described, Fairly Easy Set Up
At $12 per light, I boight the 2 pack, shipping free with prime I feel a good value. First on set up. I way over thought the process mostly because of reviews I read about not working on 5G and only on 2.5G. I’m not a tech guy at all and even though my WiFi is dual band you ‘shouldn’t have to mess with your wireless router at all. Set it all up from your cell ph with WiFi on. IF you need to just select 2.5G on your WiFi phone in set up. If you have dual band router like I do you’re phone will likely already be on 2.5G.Regarding light brightness. Yes the colored lights are, even on 100% brightness, a bit dim maybe. To me the colors are used at night for mood. Even in complete darkness it’s decent light especially if 2 are on. White at 100% is awesome and 2 lamps are plenty of light.. 1 light on bright is really good as well. If You’re just getting started in this smart light area and don’t want to spend a fortune to test waters etc try these lights. Soon as I tried them I turned around and ordered another 2 pk. I’ll likely get a third soon. Only reason 4 stars across board is I feel the instructions are sort of confusing and it does take some education and testing setting up with Alexa but nothing difficult just takes playing around and some patience.

Brightness could be little better, easy to connect my app picked up the lightbulb in a few seconds! a few months later they are still doing okay theyâd disconnected from my app and wonât stay connected.. disappointed

Decent and work great with Alexa
I have been really enjoying these lights. They were easy to install with the smartlife app and then when they were active there I was able to connect with Alexa. I can ask for a color and it changes! All the whites are bright enough for a small to medium room. I do like the 5 or 6 different white brightness levels. The colors are not as bright but do make great ambiance and give just enough brightness in a dark area. I’ll probably get a few more for smaller rooms and worth it for the price.

Of all the bulbs I have used, tested, and seen …. these bulbs were the most dim, with noticeably less light output than even 4.5 Watt bulbs.I compared these 9 Watt bulbs side-by-side with (otherwise Identical) 7 Watt bulbs and these bulbs were approximately 30-50% less bright, depending on color setting.Although these are a great price, they arenât worth it.Check out these much brighter/stronger 7 Watt bulbs that are the same price per bulb (4 pack): https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07GNW6N93I have included a photo of the bulb comparison …. color settings are all the same (and no – itâs not the lamp/shade) and I used magenta because the difference in brightness showed up the best on camera. I never found bulbs I liked as much overall and when the price went down to $15.99 for a set of 2, I ordered 4 sets to cover 3 rooms of my house.But my initial excitement over a bargain soon disappeared when I noticed the bulbs were not operating consistently in groups. Some of the bulbs would not respond to group functions. (I would say, “Alexa – turn off dining room lights”, and some bulbs would turn off while some would remain on. The only way to turn off the rest of the group would be name the individual bulbs one at a time or use the App by hand to physically control the bulbs.I also had general connection issues and general Alexa voice control issues.The overly large physical size of the bulbs does prevent their use in certain lamps which should be considered prior to purchase.It really is a shame because the price was excellent & the bulbs are nice and bright. Additionally, these bulbs have the most renditions of the colors available in the App. Other bulbs seem to wash out with certain colors &/or become dim. These bulbs translate color beautifully.Btw, I noticed these bulbs underwent a change/redesign immediately after my purchase. Iâm not sure if that redesign is for the better or for the worse. I can see that the newer bulbs are much smaller in size than the version I purchased both times. But they also appear to be a lower wattage/lumens.

These are really fun to use
These work really well. It can turn them on, off, and change the color. They also work just like regular lightbulbs. If you turn off the lamp switch and turn it back on, the lights come on. The only issue is that the lights come back on in whatever color they were set to before they were turned off. You also change colors, like from Red to White, without using a device like your phone or your Alexa/G-Home/whatever.

I think this is the most important thing about these lights- you don’t need a hub, you can just use them via the FREE smart life app. I love the HUGE selections of color and dimness capabilities. PLUS they are way cheaper than a lot of other smart bulbs. My sister wants to get into product reviewing so I had her review these lights for me!

So far, I am having issues pairing the bulb. One minute it pairs then it stops and just spins.
