Light weight and perfect depth for short snout dog breeds
Our Shih Tzu recently had surgery on his right hind leg and it was critical to recovery that h doesnât lick or bite at the incision site once the bandage was removed, 4 days post op. The hospital had put him in a high plastic cone in which he can neither eat or drink. We changed to our inflatable neck pillow cone but it could almost reach the leg in spite of his short face, so after much research, we settled on this cone. We have it only 4 days but so far it has been a life saver. What do we like about it: itâs very light weight, the part that touches the neck isnât nearly as sharp as that of the typical plastic cones, it has very strong and wide velcro closure (rather than the awkward closure of many plastic cones) so it stays in place. It can be made flatter or more cone shaped as itâs made of multiple panels that can be somewhat oriented, itâs soft material that you can clean easily. Also because of the multiple panels, it folds into a relatively small size for storing or traveling. The 4.5 in depth makes it ideal for any short snout canine breed. Finally, our dog is able to sleep, eat and drink when wearing the cone, and of course, to give us dirty looks because he knows itâs sold for cats.

Super cute, worked great!
This was perfect for my little guy. He injured his eye & the vet wanted him in a cone of shame but I couldnât do it. This was just right, lightweight & soft. He did get it wet in the water bowl a couple of times, and barfed on it once but it cleaned up easily and dried very fast. Velcro holds well and he really didnât even mind it after a few minutes. Being adorable doesnât hurt either. Highly recommend & will prob get a full size one in case I need it down the road.

Soft and flexible but works
My male cat needed neutered and they wanted $25 for a hard plastic generic collar. I found this collar and was a lot cheaper than the collar in the vetâs estimate and a lot cuter so I ordered it. It is soft and flexible and worked well. He had a little trouble eating & drinking with it turned outward (it would get wet) so when time for him to eat, I would flip it inwards. He had no trouble eating, drinking, and sleeping with it flipped inwards and it still kept him from trying to lick his surgical area. After one day, I just kept it that direction because he seemed to have a little more freedom and didnât seem to bother him as much. It is a little heavy and so he hung his head down while wearing it when turned outward. He was 6 months old and this collar adjusted down to his size and would also work on an adult cat. The velcro is strong stayed closed even when he tried with all his strength to get it off.

More comfy than hard plastic
My cat had been scratching the side of his face and made a wound. (The first ear swab was negative but the 2nd had bacteria on it). He was tolerating the e-collar ok but sometimes it would be digging in his neck depending on his position so I gave this a try. He liked this one much better. It has coverage for the face and body, but he could still lick his paws so it’s not useful for that situation. My cat was in-between sizes so I got the larger one. I did use a small binder clip since the whole velcro area wasn’t stuck. The outer space design was cute and it’s also lightweight.

Great alternative to the plastic cones
My cat recently had surgery and the plastic hospital cone was irritating her chin. She was constantly trying to get it off, and looked very uncomfortable. I purchased this as an alternative. Works fantastic! It is lightweight so she hardly notices it. My cat is approx. 11 pounds, and I purchased the size medium. It stays put around her neck and yet is comfortable enough that she is very mobile, can even jump onto counters, and yet she can’t remove it. It is also easy for her to sleep in it. I take it off while she eats, but only because she’s a messy eater and I quickly put it back on after she’s done. The velcro fastener is very easy to use. Takes seconds to put collar on or take off. I am very pleased with this cat recovery collar as my cat hardly notices it, and yet cannot scratch her surgery wound or hot spots, and she’s healing nicely. Also the price was not too bad either, and the collar is cute.

Soft and Comfortable but Easy to Remove
My kitten got spayed recently and hated the plastic e-collar from the vet – she managed to remove this as soon as we got home. I had bought this soft collar in case this happened. When I put it on, she seemed to prefer it, but after a short while she demonstrated how easy it was for her to remove. I would only get this if your cat doesn’t have a critical wound / stitches as I wouldn’t leave them alone for a second without a more secure collar / suit.

Large was too big, and velcro gets weak with time, but 5 stars for performance and comfort
Overall, this is a very good collar. My cat got an aural hematoma and needed surgery for it. His ear was covered in stitches, and this cone prevented him from scratching his ear. He could not tolerate the plastic cone from the vet, but he did not mind this galaxy cone at all. This cone doesn’t inhibit peripheral vision which makes it less stressful to wear. It’s soft, so bumping into things with it doesn’t hurt. It stays on well, but it started falling off around the 2 week mark. The velcro gets weak with time. However, because the velcro isn’t super strong, that also means it’s easy to remove and not super loud while pulling the velcro when we wanted to give him a cone break for supervised grooming time.According to the size chart, the large should fit my cat. He is 18.5 pounds and large-boned. His neck is about 10.5 inches around. However, we had to return the large because it did not fit even when we tightened it as much as possible. We waited for the medium size to come, and the medium fit him well with just about a half inch of the velcro not overlapping completely.

My kitten using this after she get the spray. It’s comfortable and easy to help protecting my kitten not to lick her tummy.

After our little guy had emergency surgery, we ran into some problems with the onesie he was using. After searching soft cones, we decided to give this one a try. It really did it’s job. He was happy in it. I was able to push it backwards if he needed to eat something quick. It stayed on and did its job.
