Does what I need and a little more!
It runs perfectly, setup is easy, and I rarely have to reconnect it. It DOES NOT OUTPUT 4K. It CAN input 4k but outputs a max of 720p. This is perfect for discord streaming if you’re like me and refuse to pay for the overpriced subscription.It works with my everything that can output HDMI! Even my Nintendo 64 (with an HDMI adapter of course)! It’s perfect for what I wanted and the price is reasonable. It’s reliable and it still works after over a year of constant use.TL;DR: If you want a reliable, durable capture card but don’t care for recording/streaming at 1080p or higher, and don’t wanna pay through the nose, then this card is for you!

Works For Only Modern Consoles
So I thought the capture card couldn’t capture on my Wii cause article after article everything and everyone telling me I needed something more, something more expensive etc for the best quality etc.And sadly for a time i believed them.Only for one person on reddit to tell me “no you don’t use Game Capture, you use Video Capture Device because it counts as a device being plugged in”..now don’t be an idiot like me, if you’re using OBS use that….cause I tried everything.And funny enough I did go to video capture device twice, but all I saw was my webcam I didn’t even take notice of the one that says “USB device” cause I was strictly looking for like “Wii” for some reason lol.So good news, it can work on older game consoles and newer ones.You don’t have to spend penny out of pocket like these idiots did to record and do more cause these guys, the ones I saw hooking it up. bought 2 types of different Wii hook ups, a big arse hub and a thumbdrive to put it on.and that was just a year ago. apparently they didn’t even bother doing what I was doingI knew it had to work in a way since it worked fine on my Switch and I was wondering what the real problem was.so good news to those who buy it, it is compatible with most older consoles. Like the Wii.Just uh if you go to record it on OBS don’t be an idiot box and do what I did lolUnless you already knew that then congratz you’re smarter than me lolbut great product though, it really lives up to the 4k since the quality is great!And easy to hook up the audio as well.

Does NOT Capture 1080p 60fps Gameplay
I’ve been using this product for the last few months, and if you plan on only recording your Nintendo Switch, this gets the job done. However, when I used this device to record my PS5, I noticed that the 1080p 60fps option did not look like 60fps; it was choppy and obviously not capable of handling the framerate at that resolution. When I turned down the resolution to 720p, the framerate was smooth at 60 fps again. While this may not be an issue for some, I cannot give this product a higher rating than 1 star due to the blatant false advertising. This product is not capable of truly capturing 1080p 60fps gameplay.

Alright for the price
Iâd like to start by saying that Iâve been using this capture card for over a year now and itâs been pretty good.Pros:- The price is good- Video quality- Setup was easyCons:- Audio quality. You are going to notice how little audio range this thing has. Most noticeable when games have music. Just try listening to the Elden Ring main menu music with and without this capture card. Can also sound somewhat muffled at times, but itâs not too bad.- There is a high pitched buzz sound it puts out at all times so if the volume is turned up enough on your capture card you will notice it. This is annoying when recording/streaming because the buzz will come through unless you use a noise reduction filter, and that just lowers the audio quality.- AUDIO DE-SYNC. When this capture card starts capturing audio and video, the audio will very slowly start to fall behind the video. In very basic terms, if I am recording a game and my character does an attack I wonât hear that sound until after it happens. You probably wonât notice it until about 20-30 minutes into capturing but it is super annoying. There is a pretty simple fix to this however. If you start de-syncing, in your recording software (I use OBS) either fully deactivate then reactivate the capture card or, have it stop outputting audio then have it start outputting audio again. Just do this every time you notice de-sync.I know that was a lot of cons and the reason I am still giving it three stars is because, I was able to use this capture card fine for over a year despite those cons.PS: Iâm getting a new capture card
