It worked to buy an iPhone!
Phew, I was so nervous this wouldn’t work for physical Apple products. But it did! I bought this $500 Apple egift card and it took almost 2 hours to get the actual ecard code in my inbox.Note: If you buy a big amount (like my $500) you might get a phone call from Amazon to confirm the purchase. After I ordered the card, I got an email about 2 hours later saying an Amazon rep would call to confirm my purchase. Someone called an I just had to verify that I did initiate the purchase, and I had to say who I bought the card for. Which was a little weird, but they are probably just being cautious.After the call, it was probably about 15 minutes more and the card arrived in my inbox. I immagine it’s a lot quicker if you buy smaller denominations, like $50 or so.And I was able to use the gift card in the Apple store as partial payment for a new iPhone. I used my credit card to pay for the rest, and it was fine!

I ordered a Apple card for a lady friend who lives elsewhere from me. I had it sent to her email address on her iPhone. Yet upon delivery, she has been unable to open the link to access the card. I don’t know what to do. Because it’s a digital purchase, I have been unable to request a refund. And on top of it all, I have plenty of money in my Amazon gift card account yet was not allowed to purchase the card with the balance. Another Amazon BS restriction. I paid cash for my gift card so why can I not buy things like that???
