Awesome Value, Tastes Terrible
I’m gonna give this 5 stars, but to be completely clear – the unflavored version doesn’t exactly dance on your taste buds. It’s got an earthy, nutty pea protein taste that even the sweetest of sweeteners can’t fully disguise. Not my favorite, might I say.But let’s talk about why I’m still a fan. This stuff is no joke when it comes to packing in the protein. We’re talking 29 grams per scoop, which has been a big help for me in adding some extra protein into my diet post-workout. I’ve been keen on trying alternatives to whey protein, and this has done the job nicely.Quality-wise, I’m impressed. It feels like good stuff, and for the price? It’s a steal. You just aren’t gonna find a better bang for your buck if you’re looking for a protein supplement. In the future, I’m thinking of mixing this with some whey protein powder to take the edge off the flavor. But all in all, if you can handle a bit of a strong taste, this pea protein powder is a top-notch pick for quality and value.

Great Deal, Decent Taste
You get a lot of bang for your buck when you consider that one serving is 29 grams of protein. A lot of powders have less protein per serving. I love that it’s pure pea protein. Does it taste great? No, but I’d rather be able to add my own sugar and/or smoothie ingredients than to have someone else add artificial sweeteners and other junk into my protein powder. As far as pure pea protein goes, this is one of the better tasting ones.I’ve been taking this and creatine for about 6 months and I have put on a few pounds of lean mass. 29 grams is a decent amount. It really helps me hit my protein goals without adding too many calories and without getting tired of eating so much food. 7 pounds is a lot and will last quite a while. I’m going to buy more when I finish this jar.

Awesome price
Itâs unflavored, what do you expect? I donât use this powder in smoothies or shakes. I will bake or cook with it. Iâve found mixing it in sauces, âprotein banana breadâ, pancakes, waffles, etc adds a nice protein boost! No noticeable flavor or texture difference when I mix it in food. In smoothies or shakes however⦠it is awful. Itâs an awesome value. You get 7lbs of the stuff, plus it contains BCAAs. Container was filled to the top (took me a while to find the scoop). No skimping on this product. Iâll be buying again.

The price is amazing
For 7lb and $54…. the price for what you get is unbeatable. The best if you are on a budget. But there’s a sacrifice. The taste. It’s unflavored and man they don’t lie. It tastes like you’re drinking water that has…. some powder in it with a hint of pea. But you get what you pay for. I would rate it 4.5 but IDK how to do that on a phone. Anyway it’s gets the job done for cheap but I really do need something with a good flavor

Great protein
Iâm on my second tub. I love the protein content and the value. It tastes fine to me as is. Sometimes Iâll throw in some sugar free chocolate syrup in my shake to change it up.Overall Iâm happy and Iâll keep buying it 🙂

What did you do to this product, Carlyle????
I’ve ordered this product in its 7 lb. container from Carlyle 6 times in the past year or two. It has always had a pleasant, neutral taste to blend in smoothies and I always buy an extra container to have on hand when I finish an old one. The container I purchased on March 11, 2024 and opened this morning is simply AWFUL. The flavor is RANK. I used to ride horses and work in horse barns and it smells like horse manure and tastes so strongly I can barely swallow it. What did you do to this product??? It was so good. I’ve tried many pea protein brands and some have a stronger flavor than others, and batches vary, but this is by far the worst I have ever purchased from anyone. Don’t you have testers for this stuff? I’ll be changing brands now as I can’t return this garbage. So disappointed. Get some quality control.

Really good price
A lot of people say this tastes bad, but it doesn’t to me. It’s not sweet or chocolatey for sure, but I mix two scoops with water twice per day on average and have no issues with it. Good, clean protein as far as I can tell and a lot cheaper than many other options out there. I also like the size – 7 pounds lasts me about a month.

Great value if youâre looking to make gains without dairy
I canât do whey proteins so this is a great option. Iâve tried other vegan protein. Super expensive ones as well as naked pea. This one is the best. Itâs versatile being unflavored. I mix it with soy milk for added protein and add in some sugar free creamer to flavor it. This is the best bang for your buck in my opinion. Sure the flavor isnât the best. But thereâs only one ingredient and you get 7 pounds of it. Also 29 grams of protein per serving. Thatâs hard to find with a vegan protein. Macros are great. Only thing I donât quite like is the sodium content. Itâs not astronomical but would be a bonus if it was less. The scoop is conveniently on the top but the tub is filled to the brim. Lol. All in all a great value. Will be buying this again for sure!
