Great, compact docking station (and even better customer service)
I am SO glad I found this docking station! I recently got a second monitor for my MacBook Pro, so I consequently needed a method to be able to use dual 4K monitors with it. After doing a ton of research online comparing various docks, I came up with this one. After using it for about a month, my left monitor decided it wouldn’t turn on through the dock. After a discussion with the customer service team, they sent me a replacement for no charge, and I haven’t had any issues since! They responded quickly and effectively, so if you for some reason have any issues, don’t hesitate to reach out to them.As far as the dock itself goes, it has completely decluttered my desk. Instead of having to plug in four different things (including dongles) into my laptop, it is now just a single cord via dual USB-C/thunderbolt plug. I have both monitors, speakers, mouse and keyboard, and an external hard drive plugged into it, and it works flawlessly. It looks nice and matches my space gray laptop, too. I can’t recommend it enough!The only thing I wish it had was non-slip pads on one of the long sides rather than just the short side, so that I can decide whether I want to lay it on its side or upright.

Would have given 5 stars, but had to get a replacement. Customer service good.
Ordered in 2023 and received on time. All worked fine and then when I would wake my MacBook Pro one of the monitors would not be recognized. I would have to plug and unplug multiple times to get it to work. Went back and forth with customer support, tried a lot of things, but kept happening. So sent them videos of the process I had to go through to get the second monitor to work and they sent me a replacement. Now it works perfectly. I just installed an HDMI switch (after receiving the replacement unit) between it and my main monitor (have 2 external monitors) and it works perfectly.

Great, works with my M3 mac for dual 4K
I got this to work with my 2013 M3 Macbook Pro and a new 57″ Odyssey Neo G9 Dual 4K UHD Gaming monitor. The monitor can supposedly handle 240Hz, but Macbooks can only do like 60Hz.I first tried a different docking station (4URPC’s DisplayLink Docking Station Triple 4K Monitor), and that one required a software DisplayLink piece of software to be installed in order to use the second and third monitor ports. This DID work, and I was satisfied with it, except that the software DisplayPort only ran at 30Hz. BUT, for anyone with a not-pro M* processor, I think you have to go this route since the laptop can’t support running multiple through HDMI/DisplayPort hardware.When I switched to using this TobenONE it didn’t require any software installs (I actually switched to a new Macbook that hadn’t done the software install). PLUS, the monitor now runs at 60Hz.My setup is to split the 2x 4K monitor in half (one 4K side of the monitor uses one HDMI input, and the other 4K side uses a second HDMI input). Both hdmi cables go into the TobenONE, and the monitor is configured for split-screen. The Macbook has the dual-USB connector (very slick, I didn’t know this was a thing!) connected to it.

Product worked great.Purchased Nov 29, 2023 – Review Nov 13, 2024.The reason it gets two stars and not zero, is the 12 months this worked (9 flawlessly).Easy setup, 2, screen extension with speaker system through pl.Nine months in, screens started causing problems, initially once a week, then once a day until it became every time reconnecting after returning to desk. Screens would not be recognized by dock until restart.Twelve months in, pl output (sound) not working, screen extensions not working, USB hub not working.If a year seems reasonable to you, then consider this a 5 star review. Otherwise, spend more or research better.-Updated Dec 3, 2024Customer support reached out letting me know the warranty is valid for 2 years. The immediately sent out a new device, which is working perfectly.I appreciate companies that stand behind their products. And Tobenone have really impressed me.

When hooking up to an M3 for the first time, the light on the front of the unit started flashing, as did the monitor connected through it, and the keyboard. The only way to seem to get it to function was to unplug the USB C power feeding the device. The macbook was disabling the ports with power connected. It seems that some of the ports are working, and some are not. But with no power boost, I am not sure how well it will support the monitors on it.UPDATE: I was given a full refund for the device and adjusted my overall rating up because of that. I would still not recommend this for an M3, but for an M1 it works very well
