Kudos for specifying this is for small cats
I’ve seen a fair number of cat trees advertised but don’t specify they are for kittens or small cats. This cat tree is listed correctly, specifying it is for smaller cats/kittens.Item is packaged well, with boards marked with a stamped letter (i.e. ‘A’, ‘B’, etc.) which corresponds with the instructions. Instructions are both well illustrated and written (a nice change). A hex wrench is included, no other tools are needed. Assembly was easy, simply follow the illustrated steps. Assembly maybe took 15 minutes. Extra hardware was included.Interestingly, a screw and a strap are included if you want to attach it to a wall.Our cat is on the larger size (14lbs), and indeed the cat tree is probably not well suited well for him. But as mentioned above, the vendor states this is for smaller cats – so no misleading there.I do want to mention the offset platform: There is the possibility of the tree tipping over with a larger cat. Something to consider if you have multiple cats in the house that are larger. I suppose one could just not install the platform if that is a concern.

Sturdy and kitty approved
This cat tree was relatively quick to put together, although you need to pay special attention to the directions because it is easy to accidentally swap parts (like I did), but correcting mistakes is pretty easy to do without completely dismantling the whole thing. Once I set it up I showed my cat and he took to it pretty quickly, and has been playing, scratching, and relaxing all over it ever since. My only complaint is the top shelf needed the bedding case stretched pretty strongly to make it fit, and a seam busted open about 1.5â. If youâre ginger about it, it should be fine.

Not that sturdy
My baby isnât that big at all and this does not hold him. The material is very cheap. This product is very wobbly just about paperweight. I guess I got what I paid for :-/

I qualify as a cat tree assembling expert- I have followed the instructions on many cat trees. (These instructions are right on- easy to read and follow.). It is above average because of the materials chosen -it lost a star because of it’s instability- definitely it needs to be attached to a wall. My rowdy bunch is interested – they’ve knocked it over three times!

My cat doesnât like this tower. I canât say whether thatâs my cat, or the tower so I will talk about the quality. Itâs not great and thatâs why I think my cat doesnât like it. The surfaces are hard, and there are visible screws that are cold to the touch. My cat doesnât even want to scratch it. Everything just feels cheap. Itâs very tedious to put together, too. So after a lot of hard work to find out itâs cheap and my cat doesnât like it is disappointing. Iâm giving it a few stars because I can see how a cat COULD enjoy it, if they donât mind hard surfaces.

We put this together, super easy and fast, and the cats have not left it since. They love it~! !ts is super heavy duty~! Its not going to fall over, it’s very sturdy~! They have traded the couch for the cat tree to use as a scratching post~! Yeay~! It has a platform, a hammock and the little box~! They love it~! Her husband has fastened it up on the wall off of the floor so they can get away from the toddler, and they can climb even higher~! They are having a blast~! I love seeing a happy fur baby~! I highly recommend this, what a deal for the price~!
