Works so well, Iâve bought six so far. And plan to buy more.
Whatâs to say? These are Tuya ecosphere devices. They work as advertised. Iâve read other reviews that complain they donât work. Thatâs just not true. One particularly long review went into great detail about how they didnât work. He was trying to get them to do something they arenât designed to do. Another person said they only worked as on-off. You MUST use a bulb that can be dimmed. Not all of them can. And, not all bulbs can be dimmed from 0% up to 100% in 1% increments. All the LED bulbs in my house stop producing light when they hit 25%. Does that mean the dimmer is busted? No. No it does not. The 25% bottom limit is a result of my lights – not the dimmer itself. These have worked for me controlling incandescent light bulbs, dimmable LED bulbs, and COB LED strips powered by transformers that are dimmable. They are easy to set up. And our Alexa network picks them up almost as soon as we plug them in. Donât hesitate to buy these. But if you do, make sure you are using them as they are intended to be used. They arenât magical. You canât attach them to your coffee maker and expect them to dim the lights on the display. But if used as intended, they work without issue. Iâll be buying more as time goes on.

Works great
I bought this and a dimmable led bulb. It didnât work. I had a non-dimmable led bulb and it worked fine.

Wanted to love this : ((
I bought this product about 4 years ago, and I worked great. Im not sure if they changed the product or the firmware needs updating but, the app seems to be confusing the ring light with the actual function of the plug. In fact, the plug is listed in the app as a light, which if you consider the ring light -is a secondary function. So Im really disappointed in this second round purchase, and Im unsure if there is something I can do to fix it, as it appears to be a software/firmware issue. So for design/product idea 5 stars, but functionality, 0 stars, if i could give that score.

Helps Dim a Light Fixture that Isnât Normally Dimmable
Bought this for a painting light that didnât have a dimmer function and it was way too bright before using this plug. I used two dimmable LED light bulbs in the fixture, set it up with this plug, and now it turns on at sunset with Alexa at the dimmable setting so it is just the right brightness. Perfect for what I needed! No issues!!

Only works with Low Power Output
I bought this smart dimmer switch to control the lights that I had added to my porch. The lights that I added to my porch were low power, dimmable, LED string lights. I wanted to be able to use the smart switch to not only turn the power on and off, but also control the intensity of the LED lights. The specs for the smart switch said that the switch would power lights up to 200 W.In my particular situation, each string of lights was listed at 15 W. I used three strings, for a total of 45 W of power. This smart switch would not dim the LED lights. When turned on, they stayed at full intensity, even though the software on the app was showing that the lights were being dimmed down to their minimum value.I submitted some questions regarding this issue on to the Amazon question site, but received no response from the manufacturer. So I did a few experiments on my own. I disconnected one of the strings so now I had only two of the strings for a total of 30 W connected to the switch. Still no dimming. When I took away the second string, so that there was only one string at 15 W on the smart switch, the smart switch finally was able to dim the LED lights. In order to make sure that I wasnât overpowering switch, I used my current clamp meter and verified that the power on each string of lights was actually 15 W or less, which they were. So, I confirmed that the smart switch does not live up to itâs listed power capacity of 200 W.Another issue that I observed (which I also saw asked in the questions section) was whether the smart switch would stay in an âonâ condition, if the power was turned off, for example at the wall switch. In my case, If the wall switch was on, and the smart switch was turned on with the app, the lights came on at full power. If the wall switch was then turned off and turned back on, the smart switch stayed off and had to again be turned back on using the app. The smart switch does not remember its last on condition. The smart switch defaults to an off condition when the source power is applied.A final note regarding the app for the smart switch. I found that it was a little difficult to get the smart switch connected to the app on my phone. I ultimately got the switch connected, but it took several tries to make it work. It seems like it should have been easier than it was.I would not recommend this smart switch and ended up returning my smart switch to Amazon as it didnât work as specified.

Control
Works great, but had issues connecting to Alexa. Took a little while but was able to get it. Works perfect to help control interior Christmas lights.

it took a while to set up. tried 3 times using wifi through the tuya app (which i already use for all my smart lights) so i switched over to bluetooth and it connected immediately. i’m finally able to dim my swag chandelier (led lightbulbs are too freaking bright!)

No more clicking lamps
A few months ago I got an antique tension pole lamp that has three separate bulbs in it, it was kind of a pain to turn all of them on and off all the time; not to mention the loud clicks the old switches made could literally wake you from your sleep. I’ve had this for about 2 months now connected to our google hub/nest with no issues, so much nicer to just turn it off from my phone or voice command
