A Great Alternative to a Smart Bulb
Wanted a dusk to dawn light for the front porch. Looked into smart bulbs but $$$. Didn’t know if these would do the job but took a chance, Turns out it works great. Ordered the daylight version and it’s bright and solves the problem at a low cost.

These bulbs over very good lighting and being LED draw very little electricity so are reasonable to run all night. Auto off and on due to darkness so you don’t have to worry about turning on.

Starting off, these lights were put on the sides of the garage to light up our driveway. This does an okay job at that, but doesn’t quite reach the end of our short driveway (barely fits the length of a car).Quality wise, these are fairly durable as far as light bulbs go. The do not seem to be glass, which is honestly a preference for me.Lighting wise, these are lacking a bit. They do light up a decent area, but don’t go as far as I would like. The area they do cover though is extremely bright and you can easily see everything around. The automatic on and off also works (with a short delay) which is the main reason I purchased these.Finally, the sensor. It is important that the sensor be placed in a spot where it can see the shift of day and night. This was fairly easy to do, but lightbulbs do exist that have this feature inside the actual bulb. Not a major issue, but something worth noting.Overall, these are great light bulbs. They don’t travel as far as I would like, but I don’t believe that would be an issue for most people. I would easily buy these again if/when they die.

I love these lights and they work really well.I live in the country with no street lights and often forget to turn on my porch lights, especially in the winter during shorter days. I installed these and now I no longer come home to a dark exterior when getting home late.They fit the same as a standard bulb. There is a light sensor on the bulb. You just have to make sure sunlight will reach the sensor properly in order for it to turn on/off as intended.

Bought them. Tried them. They worked.
Just received and only used one night, but performed as advertised. Checked at dusk and they were on and checked at dawn and they were off. Used as outside garage lights.(2). I prefer the nice “white” light vs. the neighbors dull yellow light. Would buy again.

Placed on the outside of my north-facing garage. The East side light turns on and off slightly differently from the West side light due to the sunrise and sunset. However, not an issue for me. We have not had the -30 to -40 Degree Celcius temperatures this Winter, so I am not sure if the extreme cold affects them.

Normalmente los foco son celdas solares no son muy efectivos, pero este modelo me sorprendio funciona muy bien, solo hay que esperar 5 min a que sense la luz si es que la hay, y ponerlos de tal manera que les llegue la luz a los sensores.Yo les tuve que poner unos ladrones (extension) porque el socket estaba muy dentro y no les llegaba la luz pero me costaron $19 pesos cada uno para no tener que cambiar la roseta.

Have used Philips dusk to dawn bulbs with great success but Amazon was stocked out so I tried these from GE. The GE seem to require more direct sunlight in order to turn off. I have one in an area that is lightly shaded for much of the day and it it stays lit. I switched it to a Philips and it works as it should. I tried another GE to make certain it wasnât just the one bulb malfunctioning, but it too stayed lit for most of the day. For my application, Philips is the way to go.
