With the Perky-Pet Pinch-Waist Glass Hummingbird Feeder, entertaining hummingbirds in your backyard has never been easier. It’s the classic design that you know and love with a few great updates, including a new and improved wide-mouth bottle and bird-preferred U-shaped perches. Meanwhile, the attention-catching color and 8 oz nectar capacity are irresistible to hummers. For your convenience, this feeder disassembles completely for effortless cleaning. Remove the ant moat, base and bottle with ease – even the built-in bee guards come apart! In addition, the wide-mouth design makes it easy to access hard-to-reach spots of the bottle, while also allowing for mess-free filling. The Perky-Pet Pinch-Waist Glass Hummingbird Feeder also features convenient insect defenses. The bee guards keep bees at bay, while hummingbirds can still easily access the nectar. To keep ants away, fill the top of the lid with water to create a barrier that prevents them from crawling down to the ports.
Accommodate Multiple Birds – This feeder boasts four flower-shaped feeding ports with comfortable perches so multiple birds can dine at the same time
Built-in ant moat can be filled with water to create a barrier against ants
Wide-Mouth Bottle – No more messes and no more spills, the wide-mouth bottle makes filling easier, resulting in fewer spills as you pour
Easy to Clean – Remove the ant moat, base, bottle, and ports with ease – even the bee guards come apart to allow for thorough cleaning
8 oz Capacity – This feeder holds up to 8 oz of nectar, ensuring you have the perfect amount of nectar to go around in between cleanings

Customers say

Customers find the hummingbird feeders attractive and easy to clean. They mention it’s well-built and has bee guards that keep sugar water clean. However, some customers report leakage issues, which can attract ants and bees. There are mixed opinions on durability, functionality, design, and value for money.

    Best feeder I’ve found
I reviewed this product several years ago. My evaluation remains the same. Yes, it tends to leak — but with a bit of effort to securely seat all the flowers, this problem is minimized. They are also very easy to clean. I have had any of a number of feeders, and this one seems the best at attracting hummingbirds to my yard. I have 6-7 spread along my front and back decks, and get continuous hummingbird activity. I can’t say these feeders are the ‘best ever’ or any such endorsement. I can just say I haven’t found another feeder that attracts hummingbirds and keeps them all summer long.

    They Do What They Do
The hummingbirds here choose these feeders over the others in our garden, including other pinch waist feeders. The differences are the trumpet flower and the unique bee guards. The color is the same as some of our others. Note the bottom that screws to the glass container is plastic and the perches are metal. From personal experience the plastic will crack with repeated exposure to extreme temp variants and the liquid will leak. I would suggest bringing them in when frost, snow, or ice is forecast. You can always put them back out when it warms up. The birds will still eat if they are around. The built-in moat is what it is – just add water halfway to the top and maintain it. Keep it clean so there’s nothing to climb over. With all that, I would definitely recommend trying these. They require the same TLC as any other feeder: clean, check for wear, refill.

    Excellent for hummingbirds
Used these feeders for years. These represent the latest evolution and work perfectly. The large opening makes cleaning super easy, the cap has a water mote to block ants from crawling down to get the sugar water (works quite well, only ants we get is from small limbs that brush against the side of the feeder.) One great feature is the removable bee guards open to allow cleaning their interior. (Keeping these feeders clean, as all feeders, is critical to the birds good health. Besides, if the feeders get dirty or spoiled, the birds will stop coming.)The construction is based around a glass solution vial. Glass is so much better than plastic. It doesn’t absorb nor age like plastic. The plastic parts are of good quality and seem to be of sufficient strength (based on years of use.)We have no complaints on either the design or construction of these feeders and very strongly recommended.

    Needs re-designed
I have been putting these to use for a few weeks now. As long as the base is screwed as tightly to the bottle as reasonable (very firm) the leakage is only due to “environmental pressures”. My birds eat less than 1/4 cup of nectar in 3 days, after which time discard any nectar. I use 1 Tbsp sugar to 1/4 cup water. When the sun hits the nearly empty bottle it heats up the inside (greenhouse effect) which puts pressure on the nectar forcing it out of the bottle, causing it to drip. It has no where else to go but out the feed tubes. I found the correct size O-Ring to for a bottle to top of base seal but that did nothing, not surprisingly. My decades old feeder that finally gave out, used a narrow neck on the bottle. Not as easy to fill (but not difficult), but that bottle sat in a threaded collar inside the plastic base. It was set so the lip of the bottle was at or below the needed level line in the feeder, When pressure was added to the bottle the pressure force more fluid into the reservoir but it could handle most of the volume increase and not force liquid out the feeder holes, not nearly as much as with the new design. Bad design change to cut down on manufacturing costs. If no external forces (i.e. temp increasing) it does not drip. The birds like it regardless. So do the ants on the ground.Update July 30, 2022, 4 months of use. I removed a star, giving it just three after experiencing the flaws. The hummers do like it, but so do the bees, as in the picture. I used the previous model for over 20 years and never experience it being a bee magnet. They would visit, then give up, except for bumble bees, which have a proboscis long enough to reach the nectar. The problem is a design issue. This model seeps from around the bee guard (what a joke), forming a puddle in the “flower petals” that the bees found. Hummers are very leery of honey bees and usually give up. The seep is not enough to drip during the day, just when warming up in the early morning (see previous paragraph). While this model is easier to clean, the narrow neck models never had this problem, nor did they drip from the feeding ports as much in the early AM. Perky Pet needs to discontinue this model and bring back the narrow neck bottle and maybe the old style bee guards. The old model had a snap in plastic piece in the base that threaded onto the bottle. I added a nylon rivet to hold it in place. Added 5+ years to its life. The base eventually split.

    NEEDS FIX TO PREVENT LEAKAGE
As others have pointed out, the threads do not provide adequate sealing and thus there is leakage. Besides wasting “nectar”, the dripping fluid attracts ants and yellow jackets. The hummingbirds appear to be afraid of the yellow jackets. I tried using Teflon pipe tape but found it was not up to the task. Next I tried using electrical tape and so far this seems to work (sample of one). If you try this method, make sure the length of the tape is such that it only wraps around once with no overlap. Do not overtighten because as other reviewers have reported, the red plastic base is prone to cracking. Next time I will try an inert, water based lubricant such as those used for adult purposes. If one can get this feeder to seal properly, it does a great job and the hummingbirds seem to like it.

    Easy to fill and clean
Bought these to replace my old ones they’re easy to fill an easy to clean however it does drip out if there’s any wind or the birds make it swing when they fly on itI felt like to them for $18 was a good price but now I see they’re up to $26. I just don’t know why Amazon has to create so many different price variations. I would buy more but I’m not gonna pay more than 18 for the pair.

¡Me encantaron! Se pueden lavar fácilmente (la boquilla es lo suficientemente grande para limpiarlos bien por dentro y las flores se pueden retirar), SON DE VIDRIO, y el diseño les permite a las aves descansar mientras toman un refrigerio, 10/10.

I moved to BC. I Never saw so many hummingbirds in Alberta as here. I bought a couple feeders. They were Not really attracted or interest in. I bought these from reviews on them . I have them spaced on my covered deck about 1 1/2’ from edge hanging. They are very easy to clean / fill and hang.I sit outside about 6-7’ away and they are continually coming to feed. I also see several visits where they perch on the stand to flower . They definitely like the design of these compared to the others. My suggestion is if you have the space to put up two and want to please the hummingbirds. They will be attracted by these feeders. One of my good purchases 😊
