An absolute MUST have accessory for your DJI camera!!
This cage is better then the included DJI plastic cage in every way imaginable and is absolutely worth the money. It is a must have for anyone but especially if you plan on using a tripod and want a compact unit.The quality is amazing and the camera fits in perfectly! One huge bonus is that you CAN use screen protectors when using this casee, unlike the included plastic DJI cage (the cage DJI includes with the camera interferes with the rear screen protector and wont work with one).This cage also allows perfect access to not only the charging poet but also the battery and memory card door! Unlike the DJI plastic cage you do NOT have to remove the camera from the cage to change batteries or memory cards! This makes battery swaps a painless quick thing so you can get immediately back to filming!Along with a bottom and side mount for the DJI magnetic quick release it also has a bottom and side 1/4-20 thread for direct mounting of a tripod or other 1/4-20 screw on accessories! This is a great way to mount to your tripod quickly without fiddling with adapters. This is nice if, like me, you bought one of those 50 in one kits and now have a TON of adapters, brackets, and mounts but just need to mount to a tripod for a quick video.The raised edges around the front and back help protect your screen from scratches or impacts. This means you don’t have to worry about setting your camera down on its back and scratching the screen!The cage also has a cold shoe mount but currently I don’t have anything to mount to that, however it’s definitely something others may make constant use of!Another nice feature is how unrestricted the access to the USB C port is! I purchased a cheap (but surprisingly nice quality) lapel microphone from Amazon and because of the way they designed the cage there is plenty of room for the wireless receiver to fit (see included photos) which was a pleasant surprise! You DO of course have to remove the cover door from the camera but it easily pops off and I believe this also needs to be done with the USB microphone offerings from DJI themselves (I don’t have the extra money for DJI’s insanely expensive wireless “Mic 2”).

Awesome cage!
This camera cage fit perfect for my DJI OSMO Action 4, and it’s packed full of features. With a solid build, it provides access to all the buttons, both the battery compartment and the charging port, magnetic quick release mounts WITH holes for attachments, a cold shoe mount, and easy access to remove the camera if needed. Absolutely superior to the stock cage and well worth the price!

Added Protection! Love it!
I will say, I’ve been using more and more stuff from SmallRig lately and I have not been disappointed! This cage completely fits my Osmo Action 4 camera and adds a layer of protection that gives me a peace of mind. I also like that I’m able to still click on the buttons, touch the screen, remove the battery easily and access the charging port. Not only that, but I’m able to put in / remove my camera from the cage quickly if need be. Overall, it’s a solid design and for the added protection and peace of mind for the price, it’s well worth it in my opinion!

Strong, simple, secure. The best 2 things are that:1. You can mount something on top without covering up the record button.2. You can use the wireless mic receiver and leave your Action 4 in the case.Very pleased with this cage.

Protects well and is functional
I love this rig. I dropped my DJI on some rocks in the jungle and the rig kept the camera from shattering. It is functional as well for attachments. Light weight.

Not perfect but can be tweaked
The rubber pads around the magnetic mount points make it nigh impossible to get a DJI mount to attach properly, because they are too thick. Not even Smallrig’s own mount (the one that has both action cam and 1/4-20 options) will mate with it unless i apply a ridiculous amount of force, and even then, if i wiggle the camera it will detach from the mount. But if you peel off the rubber pads it works great. On the bottom, unfortunately, this exposes two neodymium magnets (see photo). Really, the whole magnetic thing is kind of annoying; it just makes it harder to tell whether the thing is locked on. Tempted to prize those magnets out and save a little weight on the whole assembly, and that’s the other thing; it is a tad heavy. The Action Cam 4 weighs 150g. The plastic DJI enclosure weighs another 30g. This enclosure weighs 90g. In a lot of applications this doesn’t matter, but at the end of a long selfie stick, the camera is already a bit unwieldy, and this enclosure makes it significantly moreso. So i would say that there may be times when you’re better off with the plastic enclosure. All in all, tho, the Smallrig enclosure feels solid, holds the camera with no apparent play, and is very nicely made, except for the dumb own-goal of the rubber pads.

Works with DJI OA 5 Pro
Product fits OA 5Pro but you need to remove rubber ring on the lens protector. Fits snug and happy has 3 tripod mount holes built in to the top, bottom and side of the cage. My only complaint is the cage is not black as I ordered, at best gun metal gray. Good investment to protect an action camera.

Very solid. Very well thought out. Easy to get the cam inside. Easy access to the battery and USB C for mics, even with the camera installed. Maintains the magnetic clips on the top and side. Adds a cold shoe on the top and tripod mounts top, bottom, and side. Well done!

* Tempered Glass Protector: The first thing I did out of the box with my A4 was protect all the displays and lens. This fits just perfect.* Full access to everything, I thought I had to remove the cam to access the battery but nope, full access.* It makes everything to look 10x more expensive, it feels solid, it looks solid, there is a weight to it* The only cage you should ever use, stock one feels like kid toys close to it.

I love this metal cage, it’s solid and nicely designed. I love the look it gives to my camera. It has all the ports you need ! The 3 1/4 tripod ports are a really great add on. The hot shoe is good as well. The fact that they designed the cage so you can still plug the dji mics easily is really appreciated. The battery ans sd card are really easy to access. The camera itself is really easy to slide in and out of the cage as well. It supports the magnetic quick release mounts and that is just great. I highly recommend this cage.
