These work!
I had a feeling I had the wrong flange size but I didn’t want to have to buy so many spectra pump parts. I saw a post on social media about flange inserts and after a search, I came across these. I tried as small as I could go and felt a little pain so I knew I had to go up a couple sizes. The flexibility of being able to try a size multiple times until you get a feel for it is so practical. I wish I knew about these sooner!

Have helped with sizing
The pros is that there are 5 different sizes to choose from. So you can measure and see what fits best, but then the negative is that you could have to buy a secondary set to use them on both sides…. I found I could use size 17mm and 19mm without having to buy another set! Hopefully that helps someone else who is cost conscious.

Fits in multiple pumps
Iâm an exclusive pumper so I decided to spoil myself to a couple different breast pumps and these work for all of them! The ones that mine worked with were the mom cozy m5, mom cozy s12 and medela hands free!

Not sure how to feel, UPDATED
I haven’t seen a difference in my milk supply and milk gets stuck in between the insert piece– I use the fridge hack so this makes me nervous because that’s a lot of stuck milk to pump ontop of. They wash easily and hold up in the sterilizer, I may need more time pumping with them over time.UPDATE: have used these more, and they just don’t work as well as a full flange. For me, they mess with the suction power on my Spectra. Once you find your flange size order a full flange, the inserts are nice just to figure out what you need.

Ease of comfort
There are 1 of each of the sizes I ordered. Which is great for my hand pump, but if you need more than 1 of your size you will need to order 2 or find a pack of just the size you need. I love how sturdy they are and they help make pumping more comfortable.

Painful and poor fit
Purchased as they were supposed to be compatible with Spectra and M5⦠but itâs a poor fit for both – minimizing my output with the M5 especially! In addition, the inserts are hard and this leads to an uncomfortable rubbing and damage to the skin. Recommend spending the money for name brand parts instead. :/

Honestly changed my pump game overnight. I was struggling until I inserted a proper flange size. Whatâs great about this set is you can play around and figure out what works best for you. My advice is to use coconut oil to prevent friction burn. My pump is a spectra s2 and these inserts fit perfectly.

Pleased with this product. They came as described with one of each flange size and work well with the madela manual pump. If you were using a pump that does both sides at same time may need a different product or two of them, but for the purpose of a hand pump these are great especially at this price point and while figuring out what size I need!
