I am indifferent on this one.
I am always looking for ways to increase my energy levels and to feel the best I can. I do prioritize my sleep and eating well. I tried the Rhodiola for 30 days and I can’t say that I felt any different. I do like the Himalaya brand name and I do think they make very good supplements. These capsules were easy to swallow, were tasteless, and had no after-taste. The bottle does contain a thirty-day supply. I just didn’t feel any different and I didn’t notice any difference in my energy levels over the past 30-days. This one is a miss for me and I would try a different supplement for energy.

I like the ingredients where they added both the root and the extract in a single formula.The energy level is slightly improved but I wouldnât call it groundbreaking. Perhaps with longer use Iâll see more improvements especially with rhodiola being recognized as an effective herb for energy.

Standardized Rhodiola Extract by a Reputable Manufacturer with 90+ year history
While reviewing supplements, Iâve become a fan of the Himalaya company, so I was interested in their Rhodiola supplement. Rhodiola has been used in traditional medicine (for mood related issues I believe), but according to Web MD thereâs no solid evidence to support its use. That said, itâs said to be considered safe for most people when taken for 8-12 weeks. According to Google, there are some people that it may not be safe for, like folks with immune disorders (since it may possibly stimulate the immune system) or people on certain medications. While Iâm new to Rhodiola, Iâm familiar with Himalaya, and Iâm comfortable using their products.Transparency: Himalaya Herbals (aka Himalaya Wellness company and Himalaya Herbal) has been in the US since 1996, has trademark activity going back to at least 2014. However, the brand got it’s start in India 90+ years ago, founded by M. Manal. They currently have over 10,000 employees with products that are sold in 106 countries. They are still family owned. According to Himalaya, Quality assurance starts with choosing farms for growing herbs.Accountability: In March 2001, Himalaya was granted a Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) certificate, issued by the Licensing Authority, Directorate of Indian Systems of Medicine, Bangalore, India. “We have also been granted Good Laboratory Practice (GLP) certification. A GLP certification is granted to manufacturing companies that adhere to the toxicity guidelines in nonclinical safety studies. Only 14 institutions in India have been granted this certificate, and Himalaya is the first herbal company to join their ranksâ.(excerpts from Himalaya USA web page). While researching another product I’m pretty sure I found GMP certifications from both the UL and Natural Products Association for Himalaya (but none for the company that I was researching!). That said, this product is made in the US and distributed by Himalaya, so Iâm not sure if they manufacture it as well.Quality: These are 60 capsules (a month’s supply) that are a tan color with no appreciable scent. According to one reputable source the thing to look for in a Rhodiola supplement is Rhodiola extract standardized to 3% Rosavins and 1% Salidroside, which this has. Per the same source, at two 100 mg capsules per day (they recommend taking morning and midday) the dose is within the range most commonly found in various supplements. I appreciate that these come in a dark brown recyclable glass jar.Summary: I’m impressed that this supplement by Himalaya is said to be made of a standardized Rhodiola extract by a company with a solid and very long track record. As always, folks on medications or with health issues should always talk to their Health Care Provider before starting a new supplement.
