An excellent adapter for my Osmo Action 5
I recently picked up the Hafoko Osmo Action Camera Cold Shoe Adapter for my Osmo Action 5 Pro, and it’s a really useful little accessory. I often want to mount my Osmo Action to other gear, like my primary camera or a tripod, and this adapter makes that process incredibly simple.It attaches to the Osmo Action 5 Pro magnetically, with a secure clip to lock it into place. The magnet is strong, so I don’t worry about it coming loose anyway. On the bottom, it has a cold shoe mount and a 1/4″ thread, giving me many mounting options. I’ve used it to attach my Osmo Action to the hot shoe on my main camera for simultaneous filming and photography. I’ve also used it to mount the camera on a tripod. The 180° tilt adjustment is also handy for fine-tuning the camera’s angle. My only wish is that the tilt had a locking nut on it, as it’s only a friction mount, but that’s a minor issue. I didn’t have any problems with the camera moving unexpectedly.It’s a small and lightweight accessory that adds a lot of versatility to my Osmo Action 5 Pro setup. Highly recommended!

Work great
I was using another setup, that was a combination of 2 parts. This simplifies my setup, and is more affordable. It’s lighter weight, and simply works. No issues attaching to the cold shoe, and the action 4, and 5 fit perfect. This is a plastic build, but it feels of decent quality. I actually prefer the plastic nut over a metal one, since it’s less likely to scratch my camera. I do like that it can be used with a tripod. I wish there was a way to tell which side was facing front, since the action camera can only mount one way. I’m also somewhat curious if the hinge is going to loosen up over time, since there’s no apparent way to tighten it? So far it’s working great though, and it’s affordable.

Great for Content Creators
This adapter is super useful. It works with DJI Action 3, 4, and 5 and allows you to mount your action camera on top of your camera’s, hot shoe mount. This is great for content creators who want to film themselves POV while taking pictures. Also, it has a standard 1/4” mount so you can use it on a tripod as well. The strength of the magnet on this is good too, by the way. Overall, I’ve been really happy with this and I get a lot of use out of it. Highly recommended.

This HAFOKO Osmo Action Camera Cold Shoe Adaptor is compatible with the DJI Osmo Action 5 Pro action camera, sitting underneath the camera and held in place by the magnets and the red latches on the sides.Instead of having the usual two and three interlocking prongs however, this has a hot shoe base with locking collar as well as a quarter inch British Standard Whitworth socket in the bottom. This means that you can mount your action camera on either: one of the myriad of attachments that have a cold shoe socket on them such as hand grips, cages and just about anything; or, you can put it on another camera.Using the quarter Whitworth sockets, you can even put it on top of the spigot of a lighting stand if you want to. This adaptor also has quite a stiff joint in it that allows it to tilt so you can get the angle right for the action camera.The adaptor is made from hard plastic and it is unlikely to be the first thing to fail in an impact – this is well made from good materials and should last a long time.
