Perfect to power a smart doorbell
I am using this with a Wyze V2 door bell and it works perfectly. The cord is long to the point that I had to cut a few feet off for what my application. It is a 24v power supply.

Stopped working after 7 months updated
It was good for 7 months. It just stopped working suddenly. I checked the power out put with a multimeter just to make sure that it was not my wifi camera the problem but after checking the power output it was comfirmed the the issues was the power supply showing 0.00v power output.Update 07/21/2023Power supply still workingIt was my mistake for testing it for dc power output instead of a/c.The powwe supply was not the the issue the issue was my Amcrest AD 410 doorbell camera that stopped receiving power through the ac port, for some reason it was only taking power through the micro usb port.I am giving this power supply 5 stars back

Perfect for non-electricians.
If I didnât buy this I wouldâve had to install a transformer somewhere in the wall and quite frankly I donât know what that entailed and didnât want to find out.So I got this for my Wyze Cam V1. I lined up the plug, ran it along my baseboard, pulled off the trim for the front door and stuffed this in the wall, drilled the hole for the cam, cut the excess, wired it in and tested it, put the trim back on, all done.Was a very quick and easy process that seemed daunting at first. Glad this product exists.

Failed after 2 months, not compatible with Arlo
As the title says, it lasted 2 months to the day. Worked great up until today, just stopped working. Double checked with a multimeter, and 0.1 volts is what it’s producing instead of the correct 20v.After investigating further, Arlo doorbells require 1 amp, but this power supply is only rated at 1/2 amp, so it was operating outside its rated parameters which caused it to fail quickly. Definitely not compatible with Arlo doorbells.

Trickle Charge Only!
The device doesnât recognize that itâs charging because the amps are too low. At first I thought it wasnât working, but after a week I noticed my battery wouldnât go below 65% In fact, the battery actually went back up to 75%. And now thatâs the range it lives in. I wish the description told me this before. I was ready to return it.

Works for Google Nest as well
I initially ordered this for an Arlo doorbell. However, I ended up exchanging the Arlo doorbell and for a Google Nest wired (2nd gen). The transformer generates enough current to run the Nest doorbell. However, 10 VA might not be enough for the existing home chime to ring. I have an electronic chime I wanted to integrate with and I installed a relay to trigger the chime. The relay got energized but not enough to close the connection. It worked with a 20 VA transformer though.

Great Alternative to Doorbell Wiring
I didnât have wiring for a doorbell but this adapter alternative is the next best option if you have an outlet near the door where the camera is to be installed. Be prepared to drill a hole through your exterior brick mortar/siding/etc to feed the wiring in/out the house and near an outlet. I donât recall the adapter coming with instructions so a basic understanding in connecting wires (daisy chains) and striping wires is strongly recommended. Be sure to plug adapter into outlet last to avoid electrocution. Alternatively, shut off the breaker to the outlet and test first before plugging in adapter. Electrical tape not included but recommend taping around wire caps after wires connected. Two gray wire caps are included. Once installed and the Arlo ring lights up, you can begin connecting your Arlo to your WiFi by following Arlo instructions. I love not having to worry about charging batteries every three months unlike my spotlight camera. I hope this was helpful to someone reading. Enjoy.
