Perfect for a plug-in light w/no switch
I have a small chandelier in my closet that plugs into the wall but it has no switch, only way to turn it on was to plug it in or to turn off had to disconnect it every time. Did some research on smart bulbs but finding the right size was difficult until I found these.Love that you can turn it on/off with the app, easily brighten or dim as you please, or switch between warm and cool colored light. The flicker setting isnât for me in this particular room but it could look super nice in a vintage inspired living or dining room to mimic flickering candles.Definitely plan to use more of these for a vintage chandelier that needs multiple of this size bulb. That light has the same issue that it plugs into a wall to power on but has no on/off switch to manage it.

Make my life easier
I use these in my bedroom so I can turn off light by my phone every night. Itâs easy to setup in hue app and Apple Home. I also love the adjustable brightness and color function.

Added these to my Apple/Hue Home.Nota Bene: Initially had some issues with flickering at lower levels. Replaced my non-smart dimmer light switch with a basic switch and the bulbs got brighter at 100% and flickering issues were completely solved.

Work as expected – learned the hard way that hue bulbs are not dimmable!
Knocking off one star because i replaced these with standard LED bulbs that are compatible with my dimmer lamps, but these LED bulbs are not compatible with dimmers or dimmer lamps. for the cost i hope they can figure that out the way other LED bulbs have. Other than that they worked and looked as expected, wifi functionality was good, ambiance colors were good, and easily paired with the hue bridge.DO NOT USE WITH A DIMMER as it will flicker non stop – this is known and expected but I was not aware until now.

Ya habÃa comprado los otros modelos de focos de este tipo de Philips. Ya solo me faltaba este modelo. Pero no me sirvió para mi lámpara. Pues si fue mi culpa. No me fije en el tipo de socket. Es más chico no es de tamaño de un foco común y corriente.Donde pensaba utilizarlo ya no podré.Ahora lo usaré en otro lado.
