Works very well for my in the city WiFi
I have Cameras all around my home inside & out. My outside cameras was having trouble staying connected.I bought the WAVLINK AC600 High Power Dual Band 2.4+5G. I really only needed the 2.4 ghz. I tried to use it as a extender but it was just outside my back door and was have problems picking up my wifi just like my cams. So I bought a Jadaol Cat 6 Ethernet Cable 50 ft, Outdoor & Indoor 10Gbps Support Cat8 Cat7 Network, Flat High Speed ethernet cable. I then switch to the AP (Access Point) setup and it works perfectly. All the setups was very simple with their setup wizard. This really works!
I have struggled for several years at our seasonal campsite. Some days I could barely load my email. After installing this Wavlink I can even stream movies! Pretty easy install, but operating instructions could be better.

Do not get wet or let water run down wires.
You would assume a waterproof unit would be completely waterproof but it is not. One windy day with sideways rain hitting the wired box connection chorted the box and the wires corroded. Not sure if it damaged the signal booster.I had to return it just because of that. If you buy this secure all wires leading into the connector box and keep rain water from dripping or going into it. I have seen some videos where people have already gone through what I just described and have added an all weather electrical box outside on the poll.

If you’ve ever been to rural northern Michigan you know what cell service purgatory feels like. Around my summer house, cell reception varies between nil and nothing. If you want connectivity of any kind, it’s wi-fi or nothing. I installed this WAVLINK extender in access point mode at the end of a 200 foot run of ethernet cable powered by the included POE injector. After mounting the extender about 15 feet high in the middle of my property I have reliable high speed internet access across 5 acres in both the 2.4 Ghz and 5.0 Ghz spectrums. Ignoring price, this was a total win. Considering the price, it was nothing short of a home run.

Saw an increase in outdoor wifi
There were issues during initial setup that caused a lengthy installation. I sent an email to WavLink tech support and they responded by the next day. The issue got resolved & I believe that the issue was an anomaly. My plan was to get it installed in Repeater mode. So itâs connected to my existing Google mesh network via wifi. The mesh network by itself works great when all devices are within about 40ft distance, but I wanted to expand my wifi to be useable while doing yardwork outside. Once I got the repeater up and working, I mounted it and plugged into an AC outlet in the unfinished attic above my garage. I left the Repeater SSID name using default that adds â_EXTâ to the existing name. I then went outside and walked different areas of the yard and watched for wifi signal strength. With the Repeater in use I added about 20 ft of additional range to my wifi. So you decide if that amount of improvement justifies the price.
