It works!
I used it in 40 degree weather to mow the lawn. I had started with just at hat on but the zooming around the yard on the lawnmower was causing chilly air to blow onto my face, my eyes started watering profusely due to cold, my nose started running and I couldnât see where I was driving. I stopped mowing, yanked this sucker over my head and was able to spend 2 hours mowing the yard in chilly weather. It does cause glasses to fog up a bit, but whatever. I do like that itâs long enough that it covers both the front and back of the neck and keeps them warm as well. It wasnât difficult to breathe in, and I didnât get hot or stuffy in it. It was extremely comfortable and I definitely recommend. Iâm a small woman, and itâs slightly too big on bottom and not as big as Iâd like on top. Iâd like it to cover more of the top, going lower down on my forehead, but when I tried to mess with it to do that the mouth flap would come up over my eyes. ð¤·ð»ââï¸ Not perfect, but 100% usable and comfortable. I think people with normal sized heads/faces wonât have any issues. It kept me warm and thatâs all I really care about.

Kept wind off my face at 40mph+
I have a slightly above-average head and it fits nice and snug the way it should and covers everything it needs to without issue. I’ve had other ones that still let wind creep in because the hole for your face wasn’t tight enough and this one didn’t have that issue, plus the material is thick enough that it kept wind from bleeding through at all even when going 40+ mph with ambient temps in the high 30s. It’s pretty thick, so I’m not sure it’d be great for wearing in warm and dusty conditions but this is an S-tier winter balaclava.

I wore these ski masks for my last two trips and can confidently say that they’re fantastic. My head is on the larger side and yet it was not too tight, it’s easy to pull down the mouth bit if you want to breath and easy to pull it up once it gets more snowy.

The design is good, the fabric is functionally great, it dries very quickly and keeps everything from the neck up protected against cold when riding below 5 degrees – it feels great on the inside and is thin enough not to mess up helmet fit. It isn’t water proof at all but that is good because it breathes and is windproof enough to keep the worst of the cold even when wet through. I have a large head and it doesn’t feel too tight. Love all that.Even after 6 soapy hand washes and rinses, the water is still coming out quite black! Who knows what mystery chemical they used and whether it is good to be absorbing it into your skin while sweating into it for hours on end…
