Just what I needed
I have a Can-am Ryker and run a YouTube channel featuring ride videos. The kit comes with a short band that I use to place it on my handlebars. This makes it safer and easier to use activate and stop recording with my X3 camera. I love that it’s rechargeable and waterproof. The LCD also let’s you see the settings for the camera.My only complaint is that you can’t change the camera settings. Basically, whatever you set the camera to is what will show in the display so set it how you want for both photo and video modes then get started with your activity. When you use the remote it will default to what you set.Super easy to set up and use. It is a must have in my kit and I use it every time I ride out!

Synced up very easily and easy to operate. The only thing I regret is not purchasing one sooner. This makes using the insta360 even better. Charges quickly.

It works but it’s not easy to use.
First of all, the directions are 2-point font so you can’t see it. The whole thing with having to hit the power button two different times to power the remote and camera separately is just plain stupid. I was never able to turn the camera off completely and turn it back on with the remote. It just did not connect. And of course the directions are useless! Go to YouTube and search for people who use these to get better information cuz you’re not going to get that from the company. But, it does turn the camera on, it will pause a video, it will take a picture. You’re going to turn your camera off to save batteries with the remote and turn it back on with the remote. Good luck!

Convenient item to have and makes using overlays easy.
Connected right up to my Insta360 X3 with no issues. Connects to GPS satellites consistently and quicker than my Garmin 830 does. Got it mostly to play around with the overlays when editing MTB footage but honestly even if you don’t use the overlays/GPS function of it this is a really convenient item to have if you do action sports. I mount the remote to my top tube and have yet to have any issues with it. Only thing I do wish is that the tab that the strap goes through underneath the remote had locking points on it to keep it facing the direction you install it at. This is a really minor thing and does not affect its function at all but it would be a nice thing to add into future iterations of the remote. Charging by USB is nice and it holds a charge for a couple of uses for me. Used it in a downpour during a ride and it still functions as if nothing had happened. If I had to purchase it again I would do so without a second thought.

A must have for a Insta360 camera
I cannot image using my Insta360 x3 without this remote. It connects to the camera very quickly and allows for control of your camera without stopping and adjusting the camera. I sometimes wear the remote on my arm, other times, I just connect it to the selfie stick. I have done walk throughs of a few museums with the camera on the stick, above my head, attached to my backpack. I have full control of the camera for taking 360 pictures and video without taking off the backpack and adjusting the camera.I have used it to take 360 pictures of houses that are going on the market. Place the camera on a stick and tripod and step out of the room and press the button on the remote to take a 360 picture of the room without being in the picture, anywhere.The remote lets you know the SD card and battery status of the camera without needing to keep looking at the camera, every 10 to 15 minutes.For me, this remote should have come with the camera. It is a must have accessory that once you start using it, you cannot do without it.

Doesn’t consistently connect to X2
This doesn’t consistently connect to the Insta 360 X2- which is its only feature. Really frustrating and so inconstant that its not usable

can be used while riding a bike etc.
I bought this to use while riding my bike. I had only been able to shut the camera off by collapsing the invisible stick. This required an edit later on due to the camera recording my collapsing the stick and then shutting the camera off. As an added bonus I can now set the camera up on a tripod or some other way and record or stop recording up to 65′ away. It solved my problem. It is very user friendly as well.

Es muy facil de emparejar con la camara y de usar, los opciones son las basicas para encender y a agar la camara pero muy util cuando tienes la camara a distancia. Aun no trato de conectarlo a una segunda camara.

Funcional 100%.Un poco tosco e incomodo para acomodarlo en el Stick, pero realmente controla bien la cámara y sus funciones.El encendido remoto de la cámara es bastante lento.Resolvà mis problemas para activar la cámara a distancia.
