i ordered these and really enjoyed them! the texture is good…the pieces are firm but not chewy. they cook pretty fast and are filling. i’d suggest using a sauce for more flavor.

Great flavor, satisfying
I find the flavor to be excellent and the texture, while most certainly not meat, tastes like an extremely tender chunk of beef. Honestly, I buy these all the time now in lieu of the latest and greatest plant-based burgers. They cook up very quickly even in an oil free (seasoned) pan. I’ve thrown them in a quick soup, tossed them with pesto and had over noodles, and ate in a veggie stir fry. They are fine. No, you’re not going to think it’s steak but it’s a pretty good substitute and i was perfectly satisfied by the 100 gram serving. You get about 2.5 servings per bag.Please for the love of god, like other reviewers here don’t “dump” them if you don’t like them. There are enough starving people in the world.

I like the portions. However, I wish the taste was a little better. It’s much tastier with General Tso’s sauce. Easy to overcook, so it’s best fixed in water on a simmer. Less that 2 minutes using a household grill

Great Taste and simply the best texture ever!
This is one of my new favorites!! Great flavor and thickness, so easy to prepare in many ways. I never see this kind at my nearest shops usually are sold out, I will keep restocking in Smile Amazon Fresh.Today I did it in tacos with onion, green chili, mushrooms and lime wedges, but first I prepared this meatless meat, the trick is add a little bit of oil and flip it every side till is perfect like dark brownish. I added salt, pepper and onion powder. Delicious!!Pair it with habanero sauce!

First, I want to point out that the photo with the nutritional information is incorrect. There are 2.5 servings per container and not 11! I don’t know where they even got that image from, unless there is some sort of giant package of these somewhere. I am enclosing a photo to show. I love these! They are perfect when you are trying to watch what you eat but need some protein. I just microwave them then sprinkle a little garlic, red pepper and ginger and then add some Bragg’s or low sodium soy sauce. I admit I haven’t eaten them any other way, but I am sure they would be perfect for stews, stroganoff, fajitas and stir fry!

Those good reviews are bull!!!
The only nice thing I can say about these is it looks like meat, but taste like crap, not like steak or beef flavor at all and very soft which real steak is nothing like …I even put a bunch of taco seasoning and it did not help at all. Please go for the beyond steak as that actually is pretty close in meat flavor but has the texture of real meat….I made tacos with cilantro and onions and some seasoning and you could barely tell it was not meat….trust me, I am speaking the truth but if you like this brand, you must not remember what steak actually taste like or remember the texture….I don’t mean to offend anyone but Im a true meat eater and part Mexican, so if fake meat taste nasty, I’ll tell you the absolute truth.
