DERMAL Snail Collagen Essence Facial Mask Sheet 23g Pack of 10 – Skin Regenerating & Trouble Care for Acne Prone Skin, Daily Skin Treatment Solution Sheet Mask

Hydrating, great for sensitive skin, and extremely helpful if you’re prone to cystic acne like me!
I’m a big fan of korean sheet masks, and considering that I use them almost daily was ready to try a slightly cheaper brand… and curious about snail essence! These are lovely, the collagen helps my super sensitive skin knit itself back together, and the snail essence is extremely hydrating.* How I use it: I put the mask on before bed, and fall asleep with it on. At some point during the night I usually remove it. If my skin needs deep healing due to a breakout or nourishing due to dry skin, I put Daiso Japan Reusable Silicon Mask Cover for Sheet Prevent Evaporation, Colors May Vary on over it, and basically leave it on until I remove it in my sleep (usually several hours later).* What I Do With Leftover Serum: I have a pack of Zelta 60 Pieces Compressed Disposable Facial Mask Home DIY Skin Care single use dry mask pellet things. I just drop one into the packet and let it absorb the remaining serum, essentially getting two sheet masks for the price of one.* Why Snail Essence? This Korean beauty secret apparently was also popular with Hippocrates, the ancient Greek physician, who prescribed crushed snails and sour milk for inflamed skin. It turns out there may be some truth to that- the mucous snails excrete when they’re stressed out, according to The Dermatology Review, contains hyaluronic acid, glycoprotein enzymes, antimicrobial and copper peptides, and proteoglycans, all of which are added to expensive OTC skin preparations. How do they stress out the snails? I like to imagine they raise their homeowners taxes and then harvest the slime during tax season.* Why Collagen? I’ve been way into drinking Collagen Hydrolysate Protein Powder (1 Lb.) – Hydrolyzed Kosher Grass Fed Beef Collagen Peptides – Pasture-Raised – Non-GMO Certified daily, and started putting it on my face a while ago after reading some convincing western medicine journal articles talking about the benefits of collagen for wound healing. I get cystic acne spots that burst open and leave unsightly- and painful- sores on my face, so I’m *way* into methods of speeding up healing. I have noticed when I use masks with collagen in them plus the silicone face cover I mentioned earlier overnight, it substantially expedites the healing process.

Snails = Softness
I have recently converted to the magic of Korean sheet masks, and originally bought these expecting them to be of average quality because of the relatively low price. Instead, these are my favorite masks to use on a regular basis! The actual quality of Dermal Korea’s masks is one of the best I’ve found at the lower price level (Mediheal beats them out a little bit on thickness/luxuriousness); they are thick and soft. I’ve found that the Face Shop, Etude House, and Tony Moly are all thinner-feeling and don’t fit my face as well as the DK ones. Then we get to the snail essence: the mask is fully soaked and absorbs into my skin nicely. I like to use these at night before bed, especially if I’ve been outside or my skin feels irritated. I let the mask do it’s thing for about 20 minutes, then squeeze out the extra essence to use on my neck, decolletage, and even hands/forearms (hey, I don’t want to let any of it go to waste!). I wake up and my skin is so soft, and any redness/irritation is either gone or much decreased. Trust the power of the snail!

My dad may say I look like a horror movie villain while wearing one, but it makes my skin feel soft and smooth! I am 22 years old, so aging shouldn’t really be my focus (although I’m not gonna lie, it often is). It does make my skin feel plumped and hydrated, BUT since using the product I have seen a decrease in pimples. Perhaps I was just over drying my skin with stridex pads before, but regardless my skin has improved.I order these masks about once a month to every six weeks because I use them that frequently! I promise you won’t get a better deal elsewhere (I’ve looked into it).I don’t know if the different varieties do anything except smell different, but it’s really fun to decide “Hmm. I think I’ll use charcoal today.” Or “gotta use the snail”. The variety is a nice addition although I do think the snail is my favorite (you can purchase a pack of those alone, it costs a bit more so I returned to these). Cannot recommend more!

I have tons of herbal, collogan, etc, facial masks but snail is definately the best!
I have no idea why I didn’t start using throw on your face and then throw them away facial masks many, many years ago. I bought a few to test them out and never looked back. I just love how moisturizing and skin calming these are! Highly recommend.
