It works! Thatâs all that really matters. I have been put in charge of taking care of a family memberâs pet fish. I immediately got one of these. I tend to forget to feed fish, so I got one of these just in case. Itâs a simple device with a motor that rotates every so often and during the rotation, a feeder drops some food. You can adjust the opening to dial in how much food you want and you can further choose how often the feeder goes off per day. Very simple and very effective. Love it.

My 2nd time to purchased this item . Gifted them to a friend.I gave 5 stars because of it being waterproof and reliable . I dropped the fish feeder by accident inside the aquarium. I thought that it will not work. But to my surprise after i dried the item and left them to dry for a while. I put a new battery and it worked good as new.

It worked as a feeder however, I am not able to set the amount of food that is released. For one feeding it released almost the entire reserve of food I loaded. It was not suitable for my need.

Great fish food dispenser!
I was really nervous about leaving my fish for a little vacation. I set up this feeder a few days before going, and quickly realized that itâs a reliable and functional product. It holds a lot of food and I appreciate the different dispensing frequency options. Fit great on the side of my tank and kept my fish happy. Itâs not noisy at all when it dispenses.

So far, can dispense pellets of different sizes
This replaces a much older Eheim automatic feeder that stopped working when insects climbed in and gummed up the inner workings to destroy the fan and tumbler.Feeder holds a LOT of food! I am using it for a 75 gallon tank of mostly goldfish, 3 of which are 2.5â long while the 5 others are between 8â and 11â, plus 4 Corydoras catfish and a Plecostomus. I needed to enlarge the portal for the food drop, by trimming the plastic strip that fits on the glass lid. I chose the battery powered version rather than rechargeable or plug in versions. The sliding adjuster for the opening that dispenses the food, is a bit stiff. When refilled, you must try several food drops away from your tank, preferably on a piece of paper, so you can see just how much food is dispensed in a drop! Donât just refill and reattach to your tank, or you could have an overfeeding or underfeeding catastrophe in the making.I use the 1 feeding/24 hours cycle in my tank. When I refill the food container, I carefully determine how wide the opening slide needs to be for dispensing the proper amount of food based on pellet size, and test it manually several times. This means putting the test food back in to either the original container, or use the paper to put all of it back through the slot (I havenât been successful at removing the whole slot portal yet, so this takes time). The 24 hour timer seems to reset itself if you use the manual setting to figure out how much food is dispensed, so my workaround is to take out 1 battery, the replace it – and the next day at the desired feeding time, restart the 24 hour timer. A little cumbersome, but it works for me.My Plecostomus gets fed wafers separately; they wouldnât fit in this feeder. I canât imagine using flakes or crisps, based on the feeding portal size. To date, I have not had the hole cover get gummed up by food sticking to it, as reported by other users. I also havenât used it long enough to know how long the batteries last.

Pretty Cool
4 stars because it’s battery operated. The food switch is hard to move but still workable. 8 12 and 24 hour feeding options. No assembly required thank goodness. Does all it says it does. Peace of mind in fish feeding and know they get roughly the same amount each feeding.

Can put micro pillets to big ones for feeding. Looks good and works as expected. The flap at the despenser mouth is very much needed and good to have , this is not available in other products which is 200rupees cheaper
