    Best doorbell camera I’ve tried.
No subscription fees, great quality 2k video, outstanding remote response, rechargeable battery with good longevity, and lots of customization options! I added a Eufy S380 HomeBase which allows for more video file storage space (can add a 2.5″ SSD hard drive up to 16TB) that also acts as a doorbell chime so you don’t have to rely on your phone to hear the doorbell. I also purchased the spare battery so I don’t have to wait for the rechargeable battery to recharge. The E340 has a separate camera for delivered packages. The software notifies you that a package has been delivered and when it has been picked up. Communicating with visitors is easy and works well. Finally, the E340 appears to be built with more durable materials than other cameras.

Easy setup, too easily to remove and steal
Purchased this for my parents’. My goal was to alert them to any motion as we had some suspicious people day and night. Setup was a breeze to connect. We added familiar faces which it detects but would like a feature/setting where it doesn’t notify motion for people that live there. However it is nice when viewing past recordings to scan for any strangers. It would also be nice to set a schedule of time when it notifies besides manually snoozing.I like that it works with Alexa, we set up our Amazon Dot to notify us of motion or a doorbell ring. It has good internet connectivity as our router is in the back of the house. One major issue is that the whole doorbell can easily be pulled off by hand from the wedge/mount and stolen. Only the mount is screwed into the house. For those where the doorbell is more exposed and seen or high traffic/crime areas, it may be an issue. Also wired doesn’t mean it’s fully running off power. Still requires the battery in addition. Our wires were old so we are strictly using battery. It lasts roughly a month before needing to be charged. Major plus is free recording and local recording.

Love this Doorbell! No Lagging and no Subscription Fees.
After years of having a doorbell that you needed to pay a monthly fee to access video, I decided to try the Eufy E340. I had no issues connecting it to my home network and since I wished to use it wired, it was as simple as connecting 2 wires. It worked fine with my existing chime. The mounting was also very easy. The only feature i did not like was the minimal protection from theft after it’s mounted outside. There are no screws with tamper-resistant heads to secure the unit. The “protection” is merely a hole in the top which requires you to insert a “tool” to release the doorbell from it’s mount. The so-called tool is essentially the same as a bent paperclip. So, any thief with a paperclip can remove the doorbell. To make it harder to steal, I decided to insert a small star- head screw into the access hole, to at least give some protection. Other than that small issue, the doorbell has performed flawlessly so far. I would recommend it highly.

Great Features, Poor Security, Wouldn’t Work for Me
Short version: The Eufy E340 has exactly the set of features that I wanted at a reasonable price and was highly rated by Consumer Reports; however, security is not what I think it should be, and, even after two phone calls to customer support and three email exchanges with a supervisor, I could not get the device to connect to my Verizon Fios gigabit wifi. It turns out that, though the Eufy documentation does not say so, the device will not accept a wifi password of more than 20 characters or one that includes anything but numbers and letters—no special characters allowed. But even after I made those accommodations, the device still would not connect to my wifi.Details:After receiving the Eufy E340 and following the excellent, simple instructions to connect to wifi, I got the message that it could not connect and to try again. I did so five times with the same result. So I called customer support and, happily, was quickly connected to a real person who walked me through the process again, asked some questions about my set-up, and determined that the device was defective. Returning it was easy, and a replacement arrived within a couple of days.I went through the same process with the replacement another five times with, unfortunately, the same result: unable to connect. So I called customer support again and was pretty quickly connected to another agent. He confirmed my suspicion that length of password might be the problem, but he did not mention the problem with special characters. So I escalated the issue to a supervisor and continued to troubleshoot by email. The supervisor confirmed the wifi password limitations (too bad!), but, after I weakened the wifi password as required, the device still would not connect. Then, after I confirmed to the supervisor the details about my network, the phone and operating system I was using to try to connect the Eufy, and other information, he suggested that I change the setting on my router from “Normal Security” to “low security” (!). That was something I was not willing to do—especially because I had easily connected about two dozen other IoT devices to my network without any issues whatsoever.Reluctantly, I came to the conclusion that, for whatever reason, the Eufy E340 simply would not work on my system and that, even if it did work with the security settings that would have been required, I would not want to reduce the security settings on my network and wouldn’t want to use it anyway.

    Great security doorbell camera.
I checked all the reviews for multiple doorbell cameras and this one was by far the best, easy setup within 15 to 20 minutes. Unlike other doorbell cameras the EUFY has two cameras in one device allowing you to see the person and the porch for package delivery’s then notifies you with alerts. It also has upper and lower night lights which helps at night trying to use your keys to unlock your door. Plus has two way talk communication right from the app. Also you can pair you EUFY doorbell camera with your ECHO Show device. The EUFY doorbell camera is a great addon to your other home security products.

Title:I’ve been using the Eufy video doorbell for a while now, and I’m thoroughly impressed with its performance. The video quality is sharp and clear, even at night, thanks to its excellent night vision. The motion detection is accurate and customizable, ensuring I only get relevant alerts. One of the best features is the no monthly subscription, which saves a lot in the long run compared to other brands. Installation was quick and easy, and the app is user-friendly, providing seamless control and notifications. If you’re looking for a reliable, high-quality smart doorbell, Eufy is an outstanding choice. Highly recommend!

This is the second Eufy product I’ve boughten and never had any issues with either of them! I wired it into my existing doorbell, set up was super easy. Picture quality is really good. It has the dual cameras to show any packages by your door which is very convenient. I like that it has the app on your phone and I get accurate notifications when packages or people are seen and can do the live view/talk to people through it. Gives a lot of piece of mind. Definitely worth it and will buy more eufy products.

If you have a standard doorbell and want to use the current chime make sure to have the proper transformer. I purchased a 16V 30VA doorbell transformer from amazon and it works perfectly. The camera itself is very nice, easy to install. Great image quality. The setup was a little bit frustrating thats why I removed one star. I tried everything to connect the camera to my wifi and it just didn’t want to. I have Ubiquiti access points that share the same SSID for 2.4 and 5Ghz so I even tried splitting them without success. I tried using my router wifi instead of my APs and nothing.I was about to return the camera but I came across a forum post on Eufy to try with a different device. Why would my iPhone 13 be the issue ? Well that person was right, I tried with an iPad and was able to connect the camera to the network.Camera is working great even in cold winter. This is a must have nowadays with all the deliveries which the bottom camera is great for.
