Great Product!
I live in Wisconsin, so a product like this is a must for late fall & winter.Very insulating and warm, some times a little too warm! I have to be sure to zip it open indoors otherwise my daughter starts to sweat. I was recently out in cold 50mph wind and baby was toasty warm inside her carrier.It is very easy to take on and off. It stays put securely on our Chicco KeyFit 30 car seat.It is very water repellent. Snow and light rain beads up and rolls right off. I imagine in a heavy downpour it would become saturated though– I would not call it “waterproof”.I use a small metal binder clip to secure the bottom, zippered flap in place whenever I need to open it slightly. This keeps it tucked out of the way easily.Only complaint is that I wish it had more robust velcro to hold the top flap open. A strong magnet would be even better.

Great cover for cold winter days
This is a great cover for keeping baby a little warmer during drop off/pick up at daycare. I like that I don’t have to swaddle him in a bunch of blankets to keep him warm, and I don’t have to keep track of those blankets before and after drop off. My little dude is 5 months old, 13 lbs and on the short side (5-percentile), and you can see about half his head through the head opening. He can see out very well. It is loose enough that he can have a toy under the cover and suck on his hands if he wants. I don’t ever pull down the head cover flap; it has velcro to keep it up or hold it down, but I haven’t unloaded him in the rain to need it. The cover stretches as shown in the picture and stays put; I have the Graco Click Connect 35 carseat. It is removable and washable, but I haven’t washed it to know if it retains it’s shape.

Why a great idea! I bought this for my grandbaby who lives in the DC area. We were able to pop this on her carrier which doubles as her car seat and which attaches to her stroller. It says it works for regular car seats too, but havenât tried that yet. Weather was in the 30âs and we didnât need to bundle her up with all the additional blankets and hats and mittens. The entire piece is lined with fleece. At first I was going to buy the original because the difference in weight was miniscual and I considered saving the money. But as it says it is for colder areas I decided to play it safe. The flap has a Velcro tab when you want to cover the precious little face from the elements and at first I didnât like the idea as it looks like your going to suffocate the poor baby. But when we went out into the freezing air I immediately popped it over and she was quite comfy. We liked it so much I ordered a second one for my nephewâs newborn. I also ordered the combo set for the spring and summer which is lighter weight and has netting to protect from bugs. ( she already had a different brand for that but I wanted her to have the peep hole on the top so we can see her face vs the sides where I have to bend down and look through the screen.

Worth buying
I bought this as a gift for friends that have a Doona stroller/car seat. The material is well made. Keeps the baby very warm. Makes it easy with zippers on both sides plus the flap for their face, so you can unzip and unfold so baby doesn’t get hot. In the past I would purchase the JJ Cole bundle but I’m not happy with the design now. It’s only one zipper & a hood, so you really can’t cover their faces or unzip the zippers like you can on this item. You won’t be disappointed in purchasing this and the price is wonderful.

A Must, but needs improvements in design.
This was good while we had our infant carrierâwe switched to a convertible car seat due to her reflux and no longer can use. We will gift this to any mom expecting a baby before or around colder months. The reason why it is 4 stars instead of 1âis there is no way to fold the zipping part so baby is not too warm while in car. If you have heat on in car your baby will be SOAKED before you even arrive where you are going too. See our solution below in cons list.Pros:-easy to put on and take off(can do it while baby in car seatâsee first con-fit both my SafetyFirst infant carrier and my sisters Graco infant carrier-keeps baby warm outside (SEE con though!!)-stylish and bold-has zipper for easy opening and closing-has Velcro at top to leave the viewing circle open so baby can see-also a teether, or at least my baby thought so (see attached picture)-easy to wash-protects from rain, wind, snowCONS:-kept baby âtooâ warm, we found she was sweating while sitting in it in car. We found that taking it off the car seat when we got in the car helped and putting it back on the car seat before heading out of the car was the best solution.-sometimes the Velcro at the viewing hold wouldnât stick and babyâs face would be covered while driving thus resulting in extreme crying-there is no velcro for the bottom part the at part you zip up so if baby is too warm you have to fold it and tuck it in or take off the cover when inside of car.-when we added a DVD player in the car and tried folding the zipper part it blocked the DVD so the only answer to baby over heating and seeing DVD player was to remove once in car.

A must have if you live in a cold climate
Definitely a must have! Plus itâs so warm that my daughter doesnât need to wear a jacket or a snow jumpsuit so getting her into the car seat is still easy. Sheâs only 6ibs and 20 inches so this will be lasting us a long time. Love how this unzips to make getting baby in and out easy. Great quality and keeps baby safe from snow and wind. We donât hang out in the cold but itâs great for quick outings from car to store to appointments etc. fits on our car seat, the chico keyfit 30! Nice pink color, not super neon pink like it appears in the standard photos on amazon.

This is a great purchase. It was very helpful during the winter and other windy days. I would definitely recommend something like this as opposed to those that you insert in the carrier like a blanket because this offers the baby protection from harsh cold as you walk to the car or wherever. The red looks exactly like the picture and it protects from light rain fairly well (not waterproof though). I washed it many times now and it still looks great, color and material wise. It is however not very thick for Canadian winter, but I always put a blanket inside and problem solved.

As we live in Toronto Canada, I use this literally everyday during the winter months. Shes always in her car seat as I drive. This keeps her warm without all of the bulk, I just use layers and a blanket to wrap her up in no jacket is needed. Baby stays really warm in this and the colour is really nice too.
