first impression…VERY impressed
I just opened the box and finished using this product for the very first time. Moments ago. I’m not even kidding. I’ve only ever used cheap, battery-powered trimmers before, I decided to step up to the corded design, and man am I happy. I tried to do my homework when purchasing, but in the end it was still a bit of a guess. I really didn’t know what to expect. First impressions: 1) it’s an ordinary two-prong plug! That wasn’t clear from any descriptions, and other products seemed to have a bulky adapter for a plug, so I was unsure, and then very happy with this result. 2) I like the heft of it. It’s the right size. Other popular models seemed to boast of smallness or compactness. I have big hands, and the size and weight feel right. It doesn’t feel cheap. 3) It’s louder than hell. It just is. That power comes with a price, but frankly I don’t give a damn. Honestly, how long does it take you to trim? Deal with it! It just doesn’t bother me. 4) The results? It comes with a wide blade–I guess what they call the “t-blade”–attached. The attachments are a little flimsy, but they do their job. I snapped on a guide, and this trimmer made short work of my bushy beard. I’d been waiting to trim until I received it. I went thru it like butter, and in just a few minutes I had a nice even trim with no noticable tugging. The power feels substantial. I don’t know why I wasted my time with cordless trimmers for so long. In conclusion, I can’t say this is the absolute best trimmer ever, only that I got lucky and made a great purchase that I think I’ll be happy with for a long time. It’s the first trimmer I’ve used of any kind of professional quality, but given that quality, as well as the price, I’m comfortable saying that I purchased the best trimmer for me.

Way better than battery-powered tools!
I have pretty coarse body hair so cheaper tools would get jammed easily. This one works like a charm! I suppose the motor is a bit more powerful going off mains, and also doesn’t weaken over time.The trimmer itself is thin and fits very comfortably in my hand. The power switch is convenient and easy to manipulate with your pinky. It is not excessively bulky when stored. The bag it comes with is the typical cheap fabric, but has two compartments, which was nice. Unfortunately it doesn’t hold all the accessories and the trimmer, I only put my most used 3 things in there and left the rest in the box it came in.It comes with a bunch of accessories and they seem high-quality and useful. My main problem with them is that there is too many, but mainly because they are for trimming to different lengths. There several blades of different widths, they are very easy to snap on and off.Lastly, the cord: This was the main feature I wanted, and it’s GREAT! Finally, no more having to allot hours of charging time to every 5 minute shaving session. No more dealing with low charge when you’ve only shaved one half. No more batteries going bad from sitting in storage for a month. No more underpowered motors struggling to push through a few hairs getting in between the blades. This machine performs beautifully. The cord is quite long and easily reaches wherever you are shaving. Excellent product, would recommend.

This review is for the corded type not the battery operated kind.Want to know the dumbest idea you were convinced to buy into in the history of male shaving and grooming? The idea that you NEED a battery operated facial trimmer. Even in the lowest income house or apartment there is an electrical outlet by your sink, or within the reach of the VERY ample cord this unit comes with. I’m not certain but it’s like almost 6ft long (the cord).Batteries die – I know this because I too bought into the stupid idea that I NEEDED a battery operated trimmer. After the third $40-$60 trimmer I had purchased eventually bit the dust I started to wake up. Have you?This unit has as much power, maybe even a little bit more, than the comparable size battery trimmers I have had in the past. What it DOES need though, is a good sharpening before you commit to using it. And that’s pretty easy to do. You pop off the head, separate the blades, and run the smooth sides over some 300 grit wet/dry sandpaper like you’re lapping a CPU. Exactly the same way you sharpen hair clippers, only on a much smaller scale.Keep it oiled and clean and sharpen it once a year and you too will wonder how stupid and foolish you were to buy into the idea that battery trimmers were the only way to go. Laugh at your friends as they buy trimmer after trimmer and yours lasts for years and you can rest easy knowing that you are free from the burden of e-waste that their battery operated types create every 3 years or so.Obviously if you use your trimmer to make quick work of your shave by using it in the shower this unit is not for you.The blade heads pop off in a funny angle/direction, but once you get the hang of it it’s easy. The guards are useful for trimming to a specific length, but honestly I only use like 3 of them. It’s a matter of preference.I recommend this unit and others like it. The price was very affordable (for me $40 USD in Dec 2022), and you can feel confident that this unit will outlast other more expensive battery operated units easily, thus helping you ‘get ahead’. And all yo have to do is be willing to treat it like a ‘normal’ clipper with maintenance and oil – and be willing to plug it in when you need to use it.

This unit was the worse item I ever bought. It turned on for 2 seconds and sounded like a Kenworth truck, before it blew my houses fuses. Then when I tried a new point, it stopped working all together. So I threw it in the bin. Waste of money!
