Sturdy and vibrant!
This collar really makes my dog look extra handsome! The vibrant blue color really pops against his black coat, and he seems to be very comfortable wearing it (doesnât pull his fur, etc.). Heâs been wearing it everyday for 8+ months now and the color has hardly faded at all.

Excellent collar for my Huskies !!!
Excellent collar, sturdy, secure and very well made. You can use this in one of two ways, as a regular dog collar or as a limited choke depending on where you clamp the leash. Take note that this collar ,because of the choke option, is not recommended that you leave it on your dog full time only use it when you are going to walk your dog. I actually bought 2 of these collars, one for my 7 month old female husky and another for my 4 month old male husky (both 15-22 inch). Make sure to measure and size the collar correctly so that when you are going to put it on your dog it is neither too tight nor too loose, specially when using the choke option. The collar should not choke your dog to the point that is causes pain, only a slight discomfort. Follow the sizing directions that is posted by the manufacturer on the amazon product page or go to the manufacturers website ( http://store.lupinepet.com/medium-dog-traditional-solids-combo-collar/) once you enter the page, click on the “Sizing information” button.Remember, it is very important to size the collar correctly, specially since it doesn’t have any buckles and to tale it off or put in on you will have to slip it over your dogs head.Again, I’m very very pleased with both my Lupine collars and will surely buy more products from them.JJL

Very Good Collar: UPDATE
The collar is just what I’ve been looking for recently. Have been using standard web-type collars on our labs for years, until one of our dogs backed out of it during a reasonably extreme, fearful incident. I truly appreciate the design concept and construction of this collar, loose control under normal conditions, with the ability to snug up as needed … no more backing out. Some recommended choke chain type collars, however I have never used choke chains of any type … personal choice. Use these on a daily basis …. will be purchasing a couple more for back up … never know when something may go out of stock/production.UPDATE, 11/27/2019: While the construction quality still remains excellent and I will purchase Lupine again, I have run into a snag with the color matching of collar to leash … specifically the RED color. I purchased a collar and leash for our new puppy (we have 4 labs in Lupine now) in RED. The collar and leash purchased are indeed RED, perfect. As the pup is growing quickly, I decided to order the next size up RED collar a bit in advance to be ready for the switch, and the collar I received was not even close to the RED of the original leash/collar set, it was more orange (the tag reads “RED”). Since this was an Amazon purchase, I decided to order one directly from Lupine to see if there was a difference, received it today, and it, too is NOT the original RED, it is also more orange. So, as a friend says, “It is, what it is”. While the 3 other color sets are perfect (green, blue, & purple), the new pup will be a “mix and match” of red & orange. Only a concern if one really needs a matched set …. so far, the pup hasn’t noticed the difference.

Trusted brand didnât hold up
First Iâd like to say this is a very well made collar . The color is beautiful and lupine guarantees their products. I have always used their brand however this was my first martingale type from them. The collar was of great quality it was softer than the standard buckle collar which worried me when it arrived . The collar worked well and did not slip unfortunately it was not chew resistant. If you are in need of a chew resistant collar and can use a buckle type avoid the martingale . Otherwise great collar and seller

Great collar. Great Price.
My boxer had previously pulled out of his collar (twice) when he got startled by a noise, the last time almost ending tragically. When I told my vet about it, she recommended this collar…..and I love it. It provides me peace of mind on our walks, and him the security he needs. However, based on other reviews and suggestions, I do remove it when I am at work and he is home alone to prevent any type of choking issues if it were to get caught on something. I’ve also seen other Martingale type collars at Pet Smart and I don’t like them as much. The Lupine is well made, which for me adds additional security. In addition this one has two metal rings, one for his tags and the other is to fasten the leash to. It’s a natural reminder if you’re fastening the leash to the ring with the tags, you’re fastening it to the wrong one (i.e. if you’re not paying attention, it’s dark out, etc). I highly recommend it and feel it is a great deal for the price.

Already have one of these obtained from local dog groomer for my flat coated retriever. My current one is over 3 years old and have ordered a replacement as my dog swims in the sea a lot and the rings are showing some surface rust and webbing a little frayed in some areas now – but still usable and safe. I will keep for muddy walks.I attach the lead to the limited slip hoop when around traffic etc. to ensure the dog does not back-out, which he is very adept at doing. The other hoop, which does not make the collar contract when pulled is used in more relaxed situations, although the slip function does not choke like a full slip lead, just tightens to ensure dog cannot back out.No plastic clip which can break or not fully ‘click’, just slip over dogs head.I use an engraved Indigo Collar Tag with it (25mm Adjustable) which is perfect with this collar. Search these, you will never lose another tag again.By far the best collar ever.
