Nice and warm feral kitty!
This little heater keeps our feral kitty nice and warm in his hut for the winter. It’s the hard molded plastic one, I would’ve preferred a more cushy one, but this one was rated for outdoors and can take some scratches and such from other “visitors” who snoop around there. The kitty doesn’t seem to mind the hardness at all. Every time I try to add any comfort to his hut, he won’t go in it!! He stands right outside the door and gets his point across to me to “put it back the way it was, please human!” I comply…K&H products are top notch, I also have a heated water bowl for him. Both items are going strong after 2 years!Overall, great product!

Warms up nicely; hard as a rock
I got this K&H kitty pad heater along with the deluxe cover to go in a wooden cat house I built. This does heat up nicely. But it is really hard. The deluxe cover offers little in the way of comfort, but I cannot imagine using the heater without it. Since these heaters don’t really heat the house, but help the cat maintain body temperature, the cat has to be on the heater in order to warm up. It took longer for my stray to get used to it. I have a different heater from K&H which is more like a human heating pad, but it came with a K&H cat house. It was dual sided, with one side heated and the other side just a cushion. Also, because it was flexible, it was easier to position the cord. On the plus side, this cord is wrapped and safer for outdoor use. The other one I have is not chew resistant, nor is it made to be out in the elements (I have it under the porch).I’ve kept this because I ordered it late and it is already cold for my outdoor strays. I gave it 4 stars because it is durable and will keep your cat warm. But I would look for something else if I needed another one.

Works well and lasts.
We have an outside cat and this cover fits the heating pad we have in her cage. The cover is fuzzy and provides some cushion from the hard plastic heating pad. We get quite a few cleanings of this pad before we get a new one. The outside cat is 20+ and she has all the issues of an older cat so it gets soiled every now and again but it cleans up well.

It’s solid, safe, and my outside cats love it!
I needed something for a stray cat that became a live in on my front porch to keep her warm in the winter. I was skeptical about using a plug in heating pad outside on my porch. This pad fits perfect inside the cat house, and comes with a very soft fleece pad that’s removable and washable. It’s easy to wipe down because it’s a hard surface, and the entire length of the cord has a protective wire wrapped on the outside to prevent the cat from chewing the cord. There is nothing on the market that compares!

Works as expected, and I threw it in the wash with other clothing, although I put it in a lingerie bag just to be safe.

I bought this for the K&H Pet Products Extreme Weather Kitty Heated Pad for Indoor and Outdoor Use, but the heating pad already came with a thick fabric pad included (not a complete cover, it has elastic corners that attach to the heating pad. Not sure this purchase was absolutely necessary. A thin blanket laid overtop would’ve probably worked as well.
