    Well *I* Liked It…
Toy came as described and well packaged. I placed it in to the cage with my two chinchillas along with one other toy that hung. They didn’t even look at this toy beyond the normal general inspection and nibble while the other toy has significantly more interest…It’s been sitting untouched in the middle of the cage since I initially put it in there. Also, the “nut” that is supposed to be in the middle just looks like polished wood? I guess I’ll never find out though, because my chinchins won’t play with it lol.BUT, the product is Well put together, vibrant colors, and seems to be a good quality… I plan on getting hardware and hanging it from the roof to generate more interest. I don’t know if I, specifically, would buy this again since my chinchillas don’t particularly gain anything from having it in their habitat, but I would certainly recommend it to others to try for their little furballs!!It’s cheap enough that it’s worth the try, and it’s well made enough that you will find a purpose for it should your little friends not enjoy it as is.*******EDIT*******:After having this toy in my chinchilla cage for a while now, my little girls have been chewing at it left and right. They’ve finally found out that there is something on the inside, and that keeps them interested. Colors have faded over time, but it’s no big deal… What counts is that after all of this time of them playing with it, it’s still holding up strong and keeping them entertained.P.S., I never did get around to hanging it, and I’m glad I didn’t. My Chinchillas bap it around the cage like it’s a soccer ball lol. MUCH more entertaining than it just hanging from the roof of their habitat.

    Bunny Toy
This toy is a little stronger wood, so my bunny just nibbles and likes to roll it around. Then again he’s picky so maybe he’s only playing with it to please me haha

No nut included (which is good), soak off the dye first.
There is no nut inside, which is good for everyone involved. I bought for my Syrian hamster, so I stuffed goodies inside the cracks to motivate her to chew. I read other reviews about the dye and so I soaked it overnight in water and let it dry thoroughly. A LOT of dye came out!!! As an owner of various small animals, I continually get frustrated that toys made for them are marketed to appeal to people not the animal. Most animals don’t respond to bright colors. It could be plain. (A bird would be the exception). As it is, it is a great chew /busy toy for a hamster, and a good chew/toss toy for a bunny. To motivate a bunny to chew, you could put a raisin or small piece of dried fruit inside No nuts for bunnies. And I def recommend getting rid of as much of the dye as you can first. I gave this four stars because my hamster continues to be challenged by it and I can use it over and over, re-stuffing it with treats, and shredded paper when the structure starts to break down.

    Goes Quick in our House
This toy is a frequent purchase in our house. Our ratties love it and they’ve even started figuring how to take it apart to get to the center and pick pieces they want to chew. It’s a big hit with the girls and for the price it’s so worth it.

I bought a bunch of these one for each cage in my rabbitry and half fell apart before I could even close the cages! The other half the bunnies tossed around and played with

    Soaked with dye
I know that dyed wood isn’t the best for small animals, but my rats love wood toys with balls in the middle, so I thought I would just boil it until the water went clear and then bake it in the oven and give it to them once it was dry. The moment I put it in the water dye started coming out and the water was black almost instantly. I switched the water out every 10 minutes about a dozen times and ended up burning it in the process and decided to just throw it away before I finished because the water was still nowhere near clear. This amount of dye CANNOT be good for our pets and it makes me sick that this company will sell something like this to people who might not think about it and just hand this item off to their pet while assuming it’s safe. I really hope people read this and opt for a toy that isn’t absolutely soaked in dye. Undyed toys might not be as fun for you to look at, but the fact is that the animals likely can’t even see half the colours on it anyway.

Loved this toy. The small size was good so it did not take up much room in the cage. The pieces are not stuck together but this added an extra aspect to the toy. My rat loved to deconstruct it pulling the sticks apart to get to the ball in the middle. It did not last more than a couple of days. He enjoyed taking the individual sticks to knaw on. Overall very pleased! Will definitely buy this product again.

My syrian hamster is a really clever girl. And rather than chewing on this she see’s it as a puzzle. Every night she takes more and more of the orange pegs out to try and get to the ball on the inside. This is a true boredom breaker for small animals. Would buy over and over again!

I got this for my amazon and he loves it. it’s his favourite thing to destroy, and he’s got LOADS of wood chews in his cage. once he deconstructs it, I put the ball and sticks on a hanging skewer for him and he gets another month of destruction out of it. I normally buy one every six or so weeks. keeps him occupied for hours and my house is a lot quieter as a result! He doesn’t play with anything as much as this stuff. I think it’s easier for him to get through than the other hard wood ones that he’s had for years. he’s got a huge macaw bamboo chew, a medium hanging one, and a couple nibble bits in foraging balls, but nothing gets as much play as these. I think the other ones take months of work to wear down, whereas this one is deconstructed inside of a week. instant gratification!
