    Long-term Sengled customer
I rarely review things, but I wanted to get my opinion of these bulbs out there after reading a few reviews with inaccurate information.A previous reviewer stated that the Sengled hub and app were “garbage” – I have had zero issues with the Sengled hub or app. They stated that you could not recover a forgotten password and that customer service was subpar. My password is memorized in my phone, but I did forget it early on in use and was easily able to reset it. The app is easy to use – whether setting up the hub, adding new bulbs, renaming them, grouping them, or choosing a light temperature or color, it is all simple and straightforward. I have never had an issue trying to figure out how to do what I want.It was then said that you could not pair more than 4 bulbs with Alexa, but this is also incorrect. As of now I have 26 bulbs set up in the app and they all work with Alexa. I can control them individually or in groups in the Sengled app, AND I can also control them with my voice via Alexa with groups set up through the Alexa app. The 26 bulbs include a mixture of Sengled Element Classic, Color Plus, and BR30 recessed light bulbs. I can (and plan to) add up to 38 more bulbs, for a total of 64, all of which can be supported by the same hub.I have nothing but good things to say about Sengled products. Since I was first gifted a set of their JBL bluetooth speaker bulbs (Sengled Pulse) over 4 years ago, I have continuously added to my Sengled collection without any issues. The software is user-friendly and intuitive, and they continuously come out with new products that seem to integrate well with their past hardware. The only thing I would want to see improved upon is that they come out with a single app to control all Sengled products, as I can’t control my Pulse bulbs and Element bulbs with the same app. This is not a big deal, more of just a user preference, and not even remotely annoying enough to take away a star from my rating. Don’t let the negative reviews turn you off of the Sengled bulbs as a great, less expensive alternative to the Philips Hue bulbs/hub. I will 100% buy these bulbs again, and I plan to eventually have them in all of the fixtures in my house.

    Great bulbs When Configured Correctly
I have purchased about 30 of these bulbs over the past two years, along with the Zigbee hub. After several frustrating attempts to setup and reset these bulbs, I can now complete the setup easily based on changes to the procedure given by Sengled.First, you have to use a 2.4. Gh network to configure or reset the system and confirm the bulbs and switches.Second, new bulbs are better scanned with your camera. But the procedure below will work as well. Finally, forget the 1 second pause stated by the manufacturer as this will not work. You will need to plug the bulbs into a lamp or socket controlled by a wall switch that you can be turned on and off very quickly. That is, starting with the bulb plugged in and the light turned on, flick the switch on and off as quickly as you can 10 times to reset and begin the setup process. Do not pause or stop as you move the switch on and off.The bulb will then dim a couple of times to confirm that it is ready to be configured. If you have multiple bulbs on a switch, and some are not activated by this process, finish the setup of bulbs activated, and repeat the process again. All bulbs are typically seen on the second round. This process will remediate many of the complaints about not being able to setup the bulbs.

Will not go dim enough for a Home Theater Room
I bought a hub and a dozen of these, mostly to solve a kitchen dimming problem whereby I could not find a dimmer switch that fit into a half recepticle. These were pretty easy to install, easy to control, and bright enough. However, they really don’t get that dim. I was about to pull a trigger and place about 12 more in my Home Theater Room, but I find that they are far from dimming enough to make me happy. So, for the kitchen they are fine, but for more critical areas, you may have to find another solution. I think Philips Hue would work better, but they are SO expensive.
