Great old-fashioned clippers.
These are heavy and sturdy, like the old ones I had years ago. The specs say they are for light and medium coats, which is what my little mix-breed has – a light-to-medium coat. I have used Wahl clippers for decades for my pets, and used the people version for my sons when they were growing up. I was delighted to see that they are still made in the USA. Also that they still seem very well made. It came with all the usual accessories, including a nice range of guide combs. I was a little confused by the cape at first. As I expected, my dog showed no interest in wearing it, but I was able to use it myself to protect my clothing. Like my old Wahl clippers, these don’t scare the dog, and they don’t pull his fur and make him whine, either. I’m not very skilled as a groomer, but it did exactly what I wanted it to do. Everything worked just as it is supposed to. I’m so glad to have another set of Wahl clippers. I’ll never go back to the bargain brand I struggled with between my last pair and this one.

GROOMER REVIEW Well advertised for specific coats
As a groomer I have reviewed many products that are advertised as all in one clipper sets. Wahl Deluxe U-Clip specifically states on the box that it is ideal for light to medium coats. This is the #1 thing I target when reviewing. What this means is this set is great for cutting medium coats. What does this mean? It means you doodle, poodle, husky, and double coated owners do not want this set! Good job Wahl! This set is perfect for dogs like golden retrievers, some long haired cats and even Yorkies/terriers and last but not least your mutt who has a medium coat. The adjustable blade gives you 3 setting, 30 , 15 ,and 10 cuts for very close trimming. Make sure you learn about those different cuts as they can cut your pet if you are not careful. A 30 is very close and could cause irritation on some pets. Start with your 10 (the longest) and work in. Great for paws, snouts, scooping eyes, and private areas. The plastic clip ones are very basic if you have thick are matted hair they will come off very easily. Buying a set of metal mount clip ons will fix this(sold separately)brush any matting out and never use these on a dirty or wet animal. YouTube is your friend in learning your dogs coat and how to groom properly and effectively. The motor on these clippers are a semi professional grade and the housing will take some wear as well. For the price these are a great starting set. Wahl is a solid brand with perfect advertising in the case. A solid 5 star product.

Decent clippers!
Wahl is a company I have trusted for years for my pets grooming needs. I had previously bought wireless clippers, which was a mistake because my dogs have a lot of fur to trim and They would never hold a charge long enough to finish, so I would have to drag it out over several days. It was insanely frustrating. These did a wonderful job on my collie, even though they’re not meant for a super thick coat like she has. It did the job without losing power and now Kelly looks like a million bucks! It has plenty of attachments to cut it to the length that you desire. The only complaint I have is that after a while, about halfway through the haircut, the clippers started really heating up and we had to take a break. This has been my experience with other name brand clippers as well like this one. The difference is that these clippers are very heavy duty made. My last Wahl clippers lasted many years before it died and this model seems to be built the same way. I have smallish hands and the size of it was perfect for me. Not too heavy to hold for long periods of time. The price is reasonable for the quality you will receive. Just make sure to keep your blades sharp and oiled.

Great for home grooming
Iâve been using a set of Wahl clippers to groom my Shih Tzus for several years and theyâve recently started overheating so I knew it was time to replace them.This new set has everything I was looking for. It came with multiple blade guards and a guide to show which color was what length. The clippers themselves are comfortable to hold and donât get hot. The vibrations arenât too extreme either so the dogs are more at ease. Overall a great set that I expect to get years of use from.

Level Up Clippers
My yorkie has hair that grows so she needs regular trims. I have been doing her grooming at home with an aftermarket set of clippers to save money. It usually takes me a few HOURS to do this alone. Last week we tried out the Wahl clippers and boy has my time been cut down! The clippers have allowed me to get a cleaner cut with single passes. The weight of the clippers are light enough so my hand doesnât get tired. My yorkie doesnât love the sound of any clippers, so itâs expected that the noise of these clippers are a little stressful. But thatâs not a problem at all. The kit comes with various lengths of guards, brush, and oil all in a nice plastic storage case. The blades of this trimmer are more powerful and cuts better than my previous one. The WAHL name is synonymous with quality grooming products. This set is an affordable and useful investment for someone that needs to trim their pets regularly. Iâm very pleased with how well these worked on my yorkieâs thin coat of hair.

Nice clippers
These work well, they are easy to use and the noise level is low. The blades donât heat up when theyâre oiled and the oil helps keep the blades sharp and durable.
