Great mood lighting
I have Hue bulbs throughout my house and I couldnât be happier with them. These white ambience lights are great for using in my existing highhats. They give off plenty of light and Philips has tons of light recipes to choose from in their app so you can set the mood according to how you feel. You can also create your own light setting. These light will work with Bluetooth or for a full slate of settings you can connect them with the Hue bridge. If you are going to use more than 10 lights then you must use the bridge. I love these lights and highly recommend them. They arenât cheap but they are worth it especially if you are just starting out with smart lighting as no other company offers you the quality and variety of lights that Philips does. If you use Apple HomeKit these work great. They also connect to Alexa and Google Assistant for voice control. I personally prefer the security and the user interface of Apple but I have tried it with Alexa as well and was happy with the results. You canât go wrong with these lights.

Value for Money
The price could be off-putting for some, but the investment you make in Philips Hue White and Color Ambience Lighting is something you will not regret.I purchased these lights to fit overhead sockets for my new apartment, but I have used Philips Hue for over five years. As a former nightclub DJ, I know lighting greatly contributes to the vibe of a room. Being able to control the color, brightness, and patterns of my lights has a direct effect on my mood. There are also multiple apps available to use with Philips Hue, making it easy to program lights to your specifications.I highly recommend Philips Hue. I own 24 bulbs of various sizes to meet all my lighting needs, and have never had one burn out.

Solid smart bulb performance
I have multiple Hue bulbs in my house and they work well. While they’re expensive compared to pretty much everything else out there, they can be integrated into some smart home platforms better than other bulbs. Since these don’t use wifi to communicate with the hub, the hub can be hardwired and you don’t have to worry about wifi problems. I don’t know if this has been fixed/updated yet, but you can’t exactly simultaneously control multiple lights fully, which is where a control system comes in and helps.

Expensive but worth it
We have several of these in our home and recently bought more. Our oldest set is about five years old. we have never had any issues with connectivity or brightness. These lights are extensive, but my view are worth it.

Big fan of Hue lighting
I’m a big fan of Hue lighting and all the associated products. I have a large installation, over 150 bulbs, strips and lamps plus accessories. Multiple bridges. I’ve tried the rest, this is the best. That said, there are some weak links in the product lineup and – most sadly – the company still refuses to build a more advanced platform for their best customers. Limiting the bridge to 50 bulbs should have been done away with a long time ago. Give us a Pro level bridge that can handle hundreds of bulbs! WIth Alexa skills only able to address one bridge per account, we have to turn to other vendors to meet our smart home needs! The outdoor line can be problematic – I have a personal fail rate on the spots of 50% which is not good – and the Tap switch replacement is lesser than, not more than. But all told, it’s still the most reliable and feature-rich color LED line. Try to buy the bulbs on sale if you can.

Open packages?
I swear when Amazon gets a return, they just repackage the item and sell it as new. Seems like every product i buy from Amazon is used or has been opened. Buy these from best buy instead. The bulbs were scratched and one of them sounds cracked when you tap it. . I’m too lazy to return it because they all work geat. They are bright. Maybe I’ll exchange it. But I’m never buying an Amazon product unless it’s a gift for someone else

Easy Alexa Setup & Makes Great White and Colored Light
With this purchase, we now have over 30 Philips Hue Smart Bulbs in our house. Setup with Alexa is easy. Creating color schemes and routines for parties, holidays, movie viewing or just for fun is simple with the Alexa app. Using your voice to control the lights when you’ve got your arms full of groceries, laundry, food or pets is extremely helpful. To be honest, we’ve been in this house for 15 years and I STILL don’t know which switch controls what lights 🙂 but having the Smart Bulbs makes it simple. The bulbs are a little pricey compared to incandescent bulbs but a quality LED bulb should outlive me!

Finally, good pricing, solid product
I have been wanting to try these for a long time but $100 for 2 bulbs is crazy especially when competitors are 70% less. The pricing has come down on promo and I donât mind paying $50-60 for 2 bulbs at least itâs a little competitive now. The product is awesome, easy to install and with my hub the lighting scenes are top notch canât wait until Halloween or Christmas. I read they might be discontinuing this line which may be concerning to paying this much for bulbs and they stop workingâ¦hope thatâs not true.

Iâm a huge fan of HUE LIGHTS. These throw off a lot of light, but they can also be dimmed. They have a soft yellow daylight hue to them. I am probably going to get a pair of the coloured Hue BR30 lights for over the stove where it seems like I need a lot more light.
