Works great for me
After doing some research, I felt that buying this product was a bit of a gamble. It works well for some but not for others. It may not work for you and in some cases it may even make your hair grow back thicker. My motivation for getting this was that shaving was often causing itchy or painful red bumps all over my shins, even with a brand new sharp razor. And the hair was growing back thick and prickly. I could see many hairs were sprouting 2-3 hairs together.I figured my chances were pretty good since I have light skin, dark hair, and after plucking my eyebrows for 2 decades many of the hairs have stopped growing back altogether so I thought it was unlikely Iâd have the grow-back-thicker effect. After using it once a week for 4-5 weeks, my hair now grows back significantly slower and it grows back much less prickly.BUT it a time commitment. For large areas it definitely takes a while. It takes me at least an hour to do both legs fully. The directions say you can go down to once a month after the first 12 weekly sessions but Iâm not quite there yet to confirm.I chose this model based on reviews comparing different ones that said this is the fastest for big areas and indeed the time between flashes on the continuous mode does seem reasonable. But the size of the (bigger option) flash area is small enough that it still takes forever. I canât imagine it can be any bigger though since then it would have trouble getting a good contact.Sunmary: Do some research on how these work and have realistic expectations, thereâs a chance it wonât work well for your body, and it does take a long time for large areas. But its a solid product and *can* be very much worth it.

Easy to use, does not cause much discomfort (for me), one+ month update below
I have read so many reviews and wanted to know a few key things– so here it is on topics of: pain and can it do Brazilian. (I have only had it a week so cannot comment on efficacy yet, but by reading all the reviews, it seems like it works great for some people fast, great for some people slowly, and others, it just doesn’t do great. Some ppl seem to give up if it does not work after 4 weeks, or if it shows reduction but not complete removal–go longer!!) [One month update below]So pain, for me: It does not hurt very much. I am using it on under arms which have little hair left post laser about 5 years ago. Also for every part of bikini/brazilian locations, it is mild discomfort, and fast. For me the sensation is like when you open a really hot oven and the air hits you, it is a hot hot air feeling in a small concentrated spot. There is a *slight* sting sensation where the follicles are, but it is hard to really tell what is going on. It lasts so briefly that it is not bad. I think that the more discomfort I get is from where the hair is longer, I think the long hair kind of burns up and gets hot and touches the skin.Sometimes where skin pigment is darker the sensor does not want to flash, but repositioning it will eventually figure it out. Skin pigment difference matter if you are interested in brazilian locations. Deeper skin tones down there may not flash. It is MUCH MUCH less painful than salon laser. I had a really hard time with salon laser pain on legs, underarms and just basic inner thigh type bikini line. This is worlds better. I do not have to steel myself for this, it is not stressful. My legs have very little hair left so going over them is pain free and fast. My skin is not that sensitive to this device, and if I go over a spot twice there is no after effect or burn. I try not to just in case it sensitizes over time. The most awkward part for me has been contorting to get the sensor flat on the skin, especially for bikini.I recommend getting a pari of dark sunglasses and wearing them while you use it. Gas station/supermarket wrap arounds with black lenses were what I bought. The light is super bright, and comes through closed eye lids. If you get migraines it may trigger one bc the light is super bright, and the rhythmic flashing may just bother you. If you have sensitive eyes to bright light, wear dark glasses. I wear them and turn away, or just put a hand over my eyes if it is not a lot of contortion to hold the device and press the button. One month update: I love this device. I use it more than once a week, I am impatient and have zero effects on my skin after using, no damage or burning. I do not rec doing this, just what I did. Progress with Brazilian areas has been going well. One month+ in and I now have experienced hairs falling out in parts of the brazilian area, leaving entirely hairless smooth areas behind. I have never had this level of hairlessness even with waxing years ago. Not all areas respond the same. Some still have clear regrowth with stubble typical of post shaving. I think i am a strong responder, and I was to laser as well. Underarms have no regrowth a month in, for the few hairs that were left post laser 5 years ago. Legs same. I randomly run it over thighs and have less hair, which was sparse post laser to begin with, plus I am older and have less hair than when young. I no longer feel as strong a need to wear sunglasses, and doing it in a bright room in day both helps me see all the hairs, and also lessens contrast so the light flash is less strong feeling. I feel zero apprehension doing this in brazilian area, minimal pain if there is a close shave. The razor that came with it is ridiculously good, and I ordered more blades. The main issue with Brazilian locations is contorting to angle the device to get all the spots. I get a little lazy and focus on easier spots. I highly recommend this to people with the right skin/hair contrast to work (see chart for hair/skin shades). I find it faster than laser, bc you don’t need to wait many weeks between. It remains way less painful than laser, which was very painful for me. I feel like a salesperson for the device, it is so cool!!!

If youâre thorough & consistent, it really works!
Where I live, it costs $400 per treatment to get laser hair removal, and it requires at least 6 visits to have long-term results. Although this home treatment does require more time and commitment, it is so worth the money saved. I used this on my legs, bikini line, and underarms each week for the first 6 weeks, then every 4 weeks only where necessary. the sessions are more time consuming than just shaving, but you donât need to do it nearly as often, and over time, it takes less and less time because there is less hair to shave and laser. Itâs been a year-and-a-half, and at this point I only get much softer, finer hair in the areas where I had the coarsest, thickest hair to begin with (my knees and my inner bikini line). I donât really have any hair thatâs worth shaving on my underarms, my lower legs, or my outer bikini line, and the only hair that I still shave and laser every 4 weeks is on my knees and some of the inner bikini line, but it grows very slowly and is much less coarse and there is also much less hair in these spots, and it continues to get less over time, so I anticipate that eventually I will not have to do these at all. I used to have pretty coarse, curly hair that needed to be shaved every 2 or 3 days, and always gave me ingrown hairs when I tried to wax. Some tips I got from other reviewers and also found out from trial and error:The laser window is smaller than the width of this gadget, so I made marks with a marker so I could tell how wide the laser was actually covering so I wouldnât miss spots.Going over the shin bone in a vertical direction resulted in a strip that got missed, so I often went across instead and got better coverage.Because it was more time consuming than shaving, sometimes instead of shaving and using the laser right afterwards, I would shave the day before. As the laser heats up, itâs tempo slows down, so I found it helpful to do a patch until it started to slow down, then take a little break to let it cool, and begin again.I got the green protective glasses to protect my eyes just in case.I will try to update in another 6 months to report on more results over time.
