Quality Chia seeds for a reasonable price
Wait… You mean we are supposed to EAT Chia seeds, not plant them on odd looking terra cotta critters & heads???Yes, I know– I’m from that older generation who still has those darn “Ch-ch-chia” commercials rattling around in our skulls, but I must honestly say that these are actually pretty good.Believe it or not, Chia seeds were first recommended to me down in Cozumel— where a lot of people “on the go” like to carry a bottle of “liquid lunch” with them… and they don’t mean beer! Basically, it consists of Chia seeds in water… it doesn’t look very appetizing (a bit green & slimy, actually)– BUT they love it because it is cheap, portable, easy, and a great energy boost that really can replace meals… Who am I to argue?I use it in smoothies, in some sauces and other foods, or sprinkled on top of things (instead of poppy seeds)– It will thicken up foods quite a bit– and a little goes a long way if that is what you are using it for.Sometimes I will put some in a blender or pestle to grind them up a bit first– this helps keeps the consistency smoother and will induce the thickening properties to work a bit faster. By the way– the longer a product rests with Chia seeds in it, the thicker it will become– especially when refrigerated overnight!—– As I said, a little goes a long way…..So far, we like using it. It does seem to make smoothies a bit “heartier” — which is important if you are replacing meals with them.We have made various veggie blends, banana & other fruit blends, and some with things like almond, rice, or cashew milk— all work well.Like I stated before, Chia seeds are very similar to poppy seeds, so that gives some idea on recipe uses for them.As a side-note, these seeds sprout very easily & quickly– so if you like that for salads (or feeding your pet critters– mine love ’em) you might want to give it a try– I have them growing indoors and outdoors equally easy.A good product– this company has a quality product for a very reasonable price. They also including a couple of recipes sheets with ours— very helpful and tasty!Quick shipping; well-packaged… I recommend.

Fine Product – Good Price
Chia seeds have so many benefits. They are an energy dense food. They are full of vital nutrients. They cleanse the colon a promote regular bowel movements. The taste is mild so they can be incorporated into almost any recipe or be sprinkled on salads, oatmeal, etc.I bought these because the price was so reasonable. However, I didn’t notice that this particular offering wasn’t organic. In the Customer Questions and Answers someone asked if they are chemical free and the seller stated that they are. So I emailed GetChia to get more clarification. This was my question:When I ordered from Amazon I didn’t notice that the product wasn’t listed as organic. I looked at the questions and answers in the listing and I notice that it was stated that seeds are chemical free, which is great. However, I wonder if chemicals are used in the growing process. It’s great that there are no pesticide/herbicide residues ON the seeds, but I wonder what artificial chemicals are IN the seeds, if any. If, as was claimed, the seeds are free of chemicals, why aren’t they organic? Here is the reply:Great question! All of our growers are in the program and are Certified or will be in the next 3 years or so.It takes them many years/harvests to obtain this certification, so none of our seed/plants are treated at all, but some of the growers will not be truly certified for a while longer, so we continue to offer both and most of the time the up-charge is roughly $1 per pound for the truly Certified Organic seed to account for their extra costs/time to obtain the status.Enjoy!RachelGetChia.com~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~I am satisfied with this answer and will happily continue buying this product.

Good value
Good value as to quantity at comparable prices of other Chia seed offerings. Tastes fresh and has a nice clean smell. Too soon to comment on health benefits but too much evidence already out there that Chia seeds are good for your health to argue that point. I’m hoping I will really like these Chia seeds and plan to permanently incorporate them into my daily diet. Packaged in a thick and well constructed plastic zip-lock resealable bag. Most of the seeds are black but I can see a very few white seeds mingled in with the black ones.

Perfect little seeds
I am incredibly pleased with this product.Even though prime was not available, shipping was very quick; it even arrived a day before the expected delivery date! The seeds are good quality, and the price really can’t be beat. I like the resealable bag, although I did transfer the seeds to a plastic container because it’s easier to store. The label is clear and informative. They also included a free sample chia fruit bar which was delicious. There are so many ways to use chia seeds and with this quantity I can try them all! I tend to be dehydrated even though I drink water all day long, so the chia seeds are a good way for me to retain moisture, while giving me the added benefit of omega 3s and great nutritional value. My favorite way to use them is in a simple chia pudding made with almond milk, but I also like cooking and baking with them. I look forward to ordering these again once I’ve run out.

Beware of Allergic Reation With Any Chia Seeds
These caused a severe allergic reaction to me. Be aware of taking any brand of chia seeds! I am not faulting the sellers, but only the products themselves. This was my first and last time I will ever take any type of chia seeds. They are non-returnable if bought thru Amazon, so you are out of money for any reason!
