Excellent and ingenious Toothbrush – absolutely love it 🙂
Just got this for the whole family, the app is incredibly helpful and made a huge difference in my brushing habits. As you brush, the area you’re brushing becomes highlighted on your phone screen.(via Oral B app). The brush not only knows where you are brushing currently, but it also tells you to increase or decrease pressure if needed. You must continue brushing that whole area until it becomes totally white on the app – it means you got it clean 100%. Then you move to the next area (if you care to get the highest score lol).So yeah it’s a fun and interactive “smart” brush that helps you to be on top of your oral health. What’s not to love? You get history data, weekly average data, and even can customize your ring color. Also the app guides you to clean your tongue, floss, and use a mouth rinse.I am shocked how much fun I am having with it, and it also awards me various rewards and medals to further feel accomplished and motivated 🙂 Wanna get an award first thing in the morning? Just fire up this baby and get your day rolling feeling like an over achiever :)))) This is especially useful for dopamine junkies like myself. Absolutely worth every penny!!! Consequently I had to give my Sonicare her divorce papers today.

Wow-my teeth are so clean!
I’ve tried electric toothbrushes in the past with poor results. I have a very small mouth and sensitive gums so they were all very uncomfortable to use. This one is great. It’s comfortable, cleans amazingly well, has an ultra sensitive mode, the pressure indicator light is easy to use, and the timer function helps keep me on track. The model I purchased was the iO5. I would purchase again and recommend to others.The phone app is okay, not something I find overly useful because the mapping is based on how you hold the toothbrush, not the actual brushing pattern. I’ve tried using it a couple of times and it said I didn’t brush my upper right teeth but it is just how I hold the brush. If I push my arm to the more standard position it shows they get brushed. This feature could use some work to be more inclusive of those with different movement patterns. I didn’t purchase it for this feature so it isn’t enough for me to reduce a star. It might matter to others though.

Brush is wonderful but the case is not
Itâs a lovely brush. It comes with an app download and helps you with making sure you brush with 100% coverage, so thatâs really neat! The battery does suffer because of this bluetooth feature but if you leave it plugged in on the counter between each use it should be fine. the brush is a bit loud but it comes with the territory I suppose, it might bother some people but I donât really care. My biggest complaint is small and itâs the little plastic case that comes with it, as it is very VERY cheaply made. I can barely tell where iâm supposed to put the second half of the brush and it pops open without even pushing on the little button. For the product, youâd think theyâd show a little more care with that since itâs kinda jarring to have something so cheap in the package. The case is pretty sturdy on the outside so iâll give it that plus at least. Besides that knocking it down to a 4 star, I love the brush so far. itâs helping with hygiene and making it a little fun with in app medals and stuff. Iâm definitely happy with it, iâll just have to find another case to put it in if I travel with it. (:

Great Toothbrush
I have had other electric toothbrushes, but the Oral-B iO Series actually makes my teeth feel cleaner. Drippage makes it a little messy, but clearly worth the money. I was skeptical about switching from my Philips toothbrush, but I am happy that I did. The app is pretty convenient for ensuring that you are fully brushing your teeth and visualizing spots you may be missing.

I love Oral B when they work and last. Had some IO 7 and 8 with fast charger because thought what I needed charging in 3 hours.and all cool feature but batteries didnât last and quit charging within year. Best I have found is IO 7 and this 5 series. Yes takes longer to charger but batteries last. Some gave me a gift card for Christmas and used it to buy this IO 5 for spare bathroom and I love it. No it does Nike have a digital clock and takes loner to charger but lasts a long time and I discovered it is all I need. ABSOLUTELY LOVE IT AND RECOMMEND IT HIGHLY!

Toothbrush is great, app not so much
The good: Coming from having only ever used manual toothbrushes before, this toothbrush works great! Within a few days, my teeth had a fresh from the dentist clean. There is little waste as the replacement heads are small. My favorite part is the pressure sensor; I have a hard time keeping steady pressure with most motor functions, so it’s nice to have that safety feature to help protect my teeth and gums.The bad: The app, which was kind of a big reason for me buying this toothbrush, is meh. The “timed progression tracker” the app shows is garbage. If like me, you were hoping to use this feature as an actual guide to brushing time of each section, forget about it. Half the time it can’t tell top from bottom or left from right, and some times it jumps between sections even when I haven’t moved. All the while the 2:00 timer is running, and the tracking progression shows me brushing the top left when I’m definitely brushing the bottom right. Nothing like starting you day having a fight with your toothbrush app. There is a pressure sensor light on the brush itself so it works without the app, and what fun is data and stats if it’s inaccurate anyways. So I will probably just delete the app at this point.Conclusion: If you don’t care bout the app features then I highly recommend this brush.

Inicialmente pedi el IO4, pero despues de recibirlo me di cuenta que por 200 pesos mas podrÃa recibir este que en mi caso es mucho mejor, la pantalla que tiene es suficiente, te avisa en que modo estas (en el IO4 tenÃa que adivinar en que modo estaba) pero no es demasiado, no necesitas una pantalla led, ni nada por el estilo, este es suficiente.

TenÃa un oral b 5000 y lo sustituà por éste. Sà existe mucha diferencia, por las vibraciones y oscilaciones más rápidas. Lo recomiendo 100%. Lo único que cambiarÃa es el precio de los repuestos y que en México aún no los venden, sólo los encuentras en Amazon.
