Awesome for a breastfeeding mom
I used a haakaa in my first pregnancy due to a lactation consult talking them up for me, but I thought I’d try this out with my second to help build a pump stash and this thing does not disappoint! I was able to use the flange it came with, and once you find your groove with the pump mechanism, it is very easy to empty a breast in just around 10 minutes. It’s also very useful if your little one (like mine) falls asleep while feeding and you need to relieve the discomfort of a full boob lol. can’t recommend enough!

Forgive my cheesy title but the Medela Harmony has quite honestly been one of the BEST investments I could have made in my breastfeeding journey. It is easy to use, clean, and reassemble. I was able to express colostrum with it before giving birth. It helped me through the trenches of primary engorgement when I thought my boobs were surely going to fall off – I would use it on the side my baby did not nurse on just to relief some pain and pressure. I’m 2 months postpartum now and still use this pump to express breast milk if I need a quick option for relief and do not want to hook myself to my Spectra. I did have to get different flange sizes though as the pump itself only comes with 24 mm flanges. Personally, feels like a must have item for me during postpartum.

BEST PURCHASE EVER
I wish i had this for my first!! My second baby born in July and i HATE pumping so i made it a goal to not pump ever unless completely necessary. I have an electric pump from spectra and i absolutely hate it. Also there is nothing worse than waking up at 3 AM being so engorged and having to connect yourself to electric pump; put on nursing bra etc. last night i woke up around 4 AM so uncomfortable and full and i used this hand pump was done in about 6 min and got 5 oz on one side!! It was so quick and easy and not only that, it also efficiently removed the milk from my breasts!! My electric pump barely ever got 2 oz from one side and i also felt uncomfortable still and it took like 30 min on the dumb thing. Anyways if you are looking for a quick easy way to relive some pressure when experiencing engorgement highly recommend this!! I seriously never write reviews but being able to be comfortable quickly at 4 AM last night i was singing it such high praises lol

Best Pump Ever
This pump didnât just extract milkâit extracted my soul. I hooked myself up, and suddenly I felt like a prize-winning cow at the county fair, except instead of ribbons, I get sticky bottles and a baby who thinks Iâm a 24/7 diner. Itâs like a relationship: starts out gentle, then gets aggressive, and before you know it, youâre questioning all your life choices while holding two plastic funnels to your chest. Did it work? Oh, absolutely. Iâm now the CEO of Dairy & Despair, LLC. Would I recommend? Only if youâre ready for a love-hate relationship with a machine that knows your nipples better than you do.

Replacement parts unavailable from Medela
This pump is effective and easy to use – I actually prefer it to my electric pump (also Medela). It helps relive engorgement and is especially convenient when I only need to pump on one side. A big issue to keep in mind, however, is that Medela doesnât sell replacement parts. The o-ring on the stem of my pump disappeared one day, rendering the pump useless. I contacted Medela and was informed that they donât sell replacement parts for the Harmony and that I would have to buy an entire new pump even though all I need is a tiny o-ring. My pump is not even 3 months old. This is so wasteful and frustrating. I found a third party who sells parts; weâll see if they fit when they arrive.

Amazing
This little pump here has surprised me. I usually use the electric pump and they take a while to get me a let down and to just get 1oz or 2 but this little thing here in just 8 minutes I can get 2oz. I heard really food reviews and I can definitely back those up.

Efficient
I got this for on the go but it emptied me so fast and efficiently I might use it regularly! Putting it together was fairly easy and the cleaning it wasn’t to difficult either. I would recommend getting a different flange size or flange inserts when you order since it only comes with the 24 mm size.

Handle broke within a week of use
I received a Madela hand pump at the hospital so I purchased this one as a secondary to have on hand, however the suction of the pump does not work as effectively as the one I had before and when I hold the lever down for a longer expression, the suction does not hold with it. Unfortunately I cannot return the item but I canât use it either.

I love this pump way more than my electric pump. Once you know how to use its effective in empying you as well as encouraging an increase in your supply. Easy to clean and store. Easy to pump on the go. It obviously takes more time than a hands free but it’s also a game changer.I recommend.
