They finally did it right!
This is a great little plug. Super easy to install and works great. It’s far superior to the plugs I’ve had in the past for several reasons.First, with this plug, you do not need to download yet another app! That’s great! With my last box of plugs I had to download a whole other app to work in conjunction with Alexa. Second, this plug is slightly smaller than the last plug I had so it’s easier to fit things in the other socket below it. Third, set up was crazy easy. Unlike the last one (where the plug and echo had to be on the same internet) all I had to do was plug this one in then ask my echo to find the device. I didn’t expect much because I haven’t had good luck with this in the past but it found the plug immediately. All I had to do was name it in the Alexa app and done.Lastly, and this is a big one for me, it does not count as a device on your modem! The last almost identical plug in looks that we used had to be connected to the same Wi-Fi as the echo and counted as a device on your modem. This one hooks directly to your Alexa easy peasy. Which means, at least with this plug, they have solved the Smart Home problem. In the past we had four plugs but had to cut it back to one because each plug counted as a device on our modem. Our modem only allows eight devices to be connected. With these plugs it appears that you could hook up as many as you like and it doesn’t count against your device list on the modem because it’s hooked directly to your echo.I’m an instant fan of this plug in movie picking up several more in the near future. Let’s hope it has better longevity than the last ones, as well.(Another improvement over the last plug? The power button is on the side. Instead of on the front face which is easily blocked by a bulky plug.)

Integrates easily with Eero mesh network
I purchased this because it would access 5G networks. I have implemented an Eero mesh network and the older 2G plugs were hard to attach to Eero. Past products have needed to have a separate app to start the process. This is so easy. Just say to Alexa to find new devices. No separate app needed. One problem I had was when I removed an older device from Alexa and searched, Alexa kept finding the old device. I fount you need to remove the device from the other app too

Only work with Amazon Echo Device
The products title shows work with 2.4 and 5 hz and I though it will connect to wifi directly. It only connect to Amazon Echo and not work with “Smart Life” app. I have some connection issue in my house. I had installed one in Garage but there is no any Amazon Echo equitment close to my garage. It sometimes shows offline on app. I previous using the wifi one without any issue because internet WiFi cover my all house. If you done have Echo or less Echo at home, do not buy it.

Works great
The plugs work great for our home. Had a small meltdown because they stopped connecting to Alexa and were undiscoverable almost exactly one year after setting up, but all we had to do was unplug Alexa and plug her back in.

Donât buy. Unable to use after 10months
1st setup is easy. They unpaired a few times in about 10months, but were easy to reconnect. Alexa makes programming simple. Then at 10 months after I purchased they just stopped doing their routine. I look at them in the Alexa app. Theyâve disconnected again.Canât reconnect like I did previously, so I do the whole thing from scratch. 4 out of 5 times Alexa couldnât find it at all. The 5th time Alexa found it but connected it to an echo 4 rooms away. There is no way to adjust this.I have one big echo and several small dots. I want them all to be connected to the main big echo. This is Impossible to specify or change, **if** the plug can be found by Alexa can at all.In less than a year – totally useless.

Reliability
These smart plugs are easy to set up and fully functional with Alexa. I like the size of the plug as well.

Unreliable connection
When the plug is actually working, it gets the job done, though to be fair, it’s a pretty simple job. The main issue that a few others have bought up too is, it’s incredibly spotty connection. I’ve had these plugs since August of 2023 (about 7 months now) and it’s dropped connection twice from my Alexa. Alexa will read the devices as “unresponsive” and they will not connect again for days. The first time they lost connection, I wasn’t able to reconnect it for a week and a half. –not without a lack of trying. I know the issue couldn’t possibly be my Echo Dot as my Dot is connected to my Air Conditioner, and that’s never dropped a connection.I was able to eventually reconnect it one day when it just randomly decided to start working again. I don’t see a pattern in why it’s behavior is so finicky. The connection dropped again tonight, and after attempting to reconnect it 3 times with no success, I’ve given up. Your money isn’t worth this product if it’s going to die on you intermittently over and over again. Would not reccomend, if you have not already purchased it.

Great plugs
My mom is getting a little older I got her an alexa and some smart plugs to go with it. These are great. She can tell alexa to turn things off/on with out having to move in an uncomfortable way. I also set up some routines for her. She LOVES them. She is still up and moving but she gets tired. If she thinks she left something on at night she can just check her phone and turn it off.It took me a couple of minuets to install it but I was confusing myself.
