Great gift for my son. Easy to pilot!
I bought this drone for my son for Christmas. Packed as a surprise gift. He opened the box with a WOW and just loved it. This drone is much more professional than I expected. It is more than a toy or I would say it is not a toy. . (We bought a mini drone last year but that was a toy with just a few functions). This one is much bigger and have much more professional functions, creating more fun for kids. Two features that my 9-year-old found very useful are âone key take off or landingâ and one press to return home. This made it very easy to operate by my son. One tip that Iâd like to share is please read manuals very carefully and get familiar with features, buttons, and the APP on cell phone BRFORE you start flying it. Second is to suggest parents accompany or demonstrate to the kids when flying. Third is to practice piloting the drone at home or in a large open space with no trees. These tips are important to make sure the drone flies well and safely. Lastly, the drone is very strong. It dropped onto ground (grass and concrete) a few times when my son piloted it, but no part broke at all. (Spare blades are included in the package). So anyway, this is a good entry level drone for kids or even adults. Great gift for Christmas or birthday. Oh, before I forgot, I would say their customer service is super fast. I asked a tech questions and received their response in about five minutes!! All these info for your information. A satisfied buyer.

Great drone love it!
We got the light black, which is half price. This thing is amazing for a $30 drone. Stable, flips, 2 batteries, headless mode. Got it for my 8 year old and he loves it. Fantastic beginner drone. Was afraid of what we might get but we are very happy with it. Comes with full set of extra props and a couple extra prop guards and landing gear. We rigged up a hook and a load to âvertrepâ. See video. Lots of fun. The app and camera is a bit wonky but we didnât get it for that. It works but if you want a camera drone Iâd suggest getting a much more expensive drone. I didnât time it but the battery seems to last longer than the 9 minutes advertised time. I would recommend springing for the 3 batteries. They take 60 minutes charge. This is a toy, not a tool. This review is coming from a drone business owner who flys a $3800 drone for infrastructure work.

Great drone. Bad app.
Ok so I got this drone for my daughter and there is an app that you need to install on your phone or tablet for it to work. Or at least for the camera to work. Ok. The drone itself was easy setup. Batteries charged just fine (but you need your own charger, they only supply the USB cord.) Turns on and flys just fine. (I only flew it a couple times though so maybe my review will change but for now it’s a great drone.) Anyway the app that they tell you to use DOESN’T WORK. It crashes as soon as you open it up. I tried everything. (When you have the app opened you have to turn on the wifi for the drone and turn off your mobile data.) I even uninstalled and reinstalled several times. No luck. But I did however find a different app that does work for the camera on this drone so as long as it works… My daughter is happy now. As for the drone itself, it’s pretty easy to fly. I’m a beginner so I couldn’t really tell you how far or high this thing really goes. I only flew it around my yard and as high as the top of my house. The pictures it takes are pretty nice for a small camera. If any problems arise then I will definitely update my review but as of now… 4 and a half stars. It would of gotten 5 if the app worked properly. ââââ

Will not maintain a hovering location or height.
We’ve had two of these same drones, and the same issue occurred with both. Once the drone takes off from the ground, it will fly slowly in one direction on its own. I’ve flown drones before (granted they were more expensive and technical models) that could hover in one spot, maintaining location and elevation on its own. This drone will not do that.This made it difficult to teach my son how to use the controls because I would have to take the remote control from him in order to get the drone to fly back to us. This occurred in an open area, outside, with no surface winds, and trying to maintain an elevation of about 10 feet.The range of control isn’t very far either. When the drone was about 100 feet away, we had issues with the drone’s responsiveness to the remote control operations, especially the “panic” button.The “panic” button should force the drone to land softly at its current location. The drone kept flying away. despite multiple presses of the “panic” button.Now we have no drone, as it is lost deep in a brush-filled canyon near home.The remote controller itself is not marked or labeled as to what each of the joysticks do, either.

Bought this on a whim on Amazon Prime day. Actually very happy with the purchase. Easy to set up and fly. Camera is pretty good too, especially on sunny days. Due to its relatively small size works best indoors and on calm days outside. Lights make it fun to fly at night. Biggest issue is batteries. Flys about 10 minutes on a charge but seems to take an hour or more to charge. 2 supplied batteries are just not enough. The extra parts included are nice but so far have not been needed. It is a pretty tough/durable little drone! Recommend for the beginner or just for the heck of it.

Don’t buy
Bought this during Prime days as it was $35 instead of $70. Glad I only spent $35 because this thing is junk. VERY easily thrown by even the slightest breeze. It struggles to get around on days with little to no wind. I blame some of that on its inability to hold calibration. The calibration process feels like a waste of time because A. It doesn’t hold calibration. B. as soon a you hit the controls its WAY out of calibration again and flies poorly. Sometimes you are full throttle in one direction just to get it to hover in no wind. Worst flying drone I’ve piloted yet.
