Very impressed with this extra cozy throw!
Came in just as described but exceeded my expectations! I have searched for a nice cozy heating throw at a budget price, which is tricky. As the saying goes, you get what you pay for. However, I couldn’t be happier with this purchase! The sherpa is so soft and adds that extra layer, so that it’s not too heavy but not too light either. It’s the perfect size for cuddling up with my pups on the couch. I don’t know who loves it more, me or the doggies! I love the multiple heat levels, allowing me to find just the right temperature but its also simple to work with just few buttons and of course the auto shut off timer is a plus and gives peace of mind when dozing off for a long winter’s nap!

This is plusher than I expected.
The sherpa fleece size is fluffy and thick. The top is a very soft and plush furry fleece. The controller is easy to use, and the numbers are huge, so they are easy to read without glasses. The low setting is barely warm while the highest setting is super-hot, lol. I hope it is never so cold here that I need to use the highest setting. I thought I read that the time runs for 10 hours, but it clearly says 8 on the controller. That time is adjustable, but it cannot be overridden.I thought I was buying a cheap item, but this is not a cheap looking throw. The fabric is very nice on both sides and the wiring is hefty enough to take a little abuse. I haven’t had much luck with these throws surviving more than a wash or two and I don’t really expect them to handle a washing machine, but the fabric on this throw will hold up well with washing so it will still have some utility after the electrical wires fail.I save money using electric blankets and throws. It doesn’t get so cold here that it is life threatening but when there is a chill, rather than turn on the heat, I can just curl up with a blanket and be perfectly comfy. So far, I have only needed to use my heater in the wee hours of the morning when I swear there must be ice outside, lol.

Very comfortable and energy efficient, hardly cost anything to keep me warm all night
I love this blanket, period. It does everything the description said – very comfortable, not too thick and heavy but not thin like others I had thanks to the sherpa layer underneath the fleece layer. I personally like my blanket a bit on the heavier side so I have layered another non-heated blanket on top of this blanket and the total weight was just perfect. The blanket heats up very quickly, like within 5 min with the lowest heat setting of 1 (a total of 10 settings is available), with the non-heated blanket on top, level 1 is all I needed for the entire night. I tried using the heated blanket by itself and I would need to crank it up to level 3 to get the warmth I like due to heat lost from the top. Level 1 hardly uses any electricity, I checked the power usage on the SCE website and it showed that the blanket at Level 1 only uses 0.08 kwh (per hour). My space heater would use 10x that in a single hour. With this blanket I only need my space heater to heat up the room for the first hour of sleep and the blanket will take care of me for the next 7 hours. This saves a lot $ very quickly and the blanket practically pays for itself in a month.One thing that impresses me is the long control & power cord. The length from the bottom of the blank to the controller is over 110 inches which is a lot longer than the one I had before which could not even reach the head of the bed. The length from the controller to the power outlet is shorter but still long enough to reach (at least 6 ft).Now, the biggest feature of this blanket to my opinion is the Heating Area. It is bigger than the others. It is not bigger in terms of the width but longer from head to toe. The other one I had covered the feet ok but not the chest area, there was a 1 foot dead zone (no heat element) from the top seam of the blanket to the heating element. This blanket has a dead zone of only 3″ that mean it covers my chest completely.If there is one thing that I like to see better in this blanket is to increase the heating area’s width by a few inches (I bought the full size) but that hardly a deal breaker for me. I highly recommend this over other similar product.
