Motion detection BEFORE the doorbell is rung!
My house has (had) one of the whole house intercoms that included a doorbell. The system quit working some time ago, and the exterior speaker dry-rotted. I tried an inexpensive (chime only) doorbell, but it worked inconsistently due to the range to the receiver.I had a couple of other BOIFUN cameras, so I decided to try their doorbell camera. Physical installation is easy. They give you both screws and adhesive strips to use. I chose to not drill holes in my siding, so I used siding clips and a piece of wood (to be painted). I mounted the doorbell base to the wood with screws and snapped in the doorbell . This also lets me move the camera around, if I am not happy with the location.BOIFUN says you can use either their app or the CloudEdge app. I used the BOIFUN app. Activation and pairing of the doorbell and connection to the wifi network is a breeze. The instructions are pretty clear and there are plenty of color indicators and sounds to let you know you are successful for a given step.The performance is great! My door is about 30 feet from the road, so I was concerned about false triggers with passing cars or bike riders. However I reduced the sensitivity and I do not get any false notifications. The picture quality is very, very good. The app let me customize the zone where I want motion detection notification and video capture. I like that I get imagery of motion detection AND when the doorbell is pressed. Delivery people and others trip the motion detection but may not ring the bell. There is even a small remote speaker that you can place on a shelf that chimes (you can choose from a list of sounds/tunes) when the doorbell is pressed. When the doorbell is pressed, I get a notification on my phone. I can âanswerâ the notification and have a conversation with the person, or I can have a pre-recorded voicemail be played. I can also decide to reject the request and not respond. Iâve attached a few photos and a video from testing. The doorbell even has night vision!Sharing access to the doorbell and the recorded images is super easy. BOIFUN lets you add someone else by entering their account, or scanning a QR code. Each person is required to download the app and create an account. Rather than add a camera to their account, there is a QR code in the app on their phone that I ( as âadministrator/ownerâ) scan using my BOIFUN app. This creates the link and allows sharing. This can be just viewing, or full access and control for family or friends.Certainly based on my old system, this is a HUGE improvement. I now have a working doorbell â range is no longer an issue since it uses wifi to send notifications to my phone. AND I get photo/video (great quality) of the encounter. Given the customization of the app, I cannot imagine a situation where you couldnât make it work. When I bought mine, there was a discount, which made the price more attractive.

Boifun products are awesome
I got their baby monitor for my friend’s niece and she loved it. I also own their portable dvd players I’ve gotten them for gifts plus one for myself. With that said.I recently moved to a new place that has a fenced in yard and people keep taking a short cut through my yard. So I decided it was time to start keeping an eye on things so I can see who is at my door before I open it and see my deliveries as to who might be taking my packages.Well installing it was real easy and I like the fact that they included both screws and tape to mount I chose to use the tape because I rent I didn’t want to use screws.Setting up with the app was super easy too. Talk about the chime it is nice and loud my dog actually responds to it. The doorbell the landlord installed my dog doesn’t respond to it. I feel alot safer now that my dog responds to the doorbell it lets people know there is also a dog inside. With her deep bark she sounds mean but she’s not.The sound is great and the video is crisp and very clear . Both in daylight and nighttime I also like the option to add an sd card so I can save video in case I have an issue with a delivery.After installing this I got a delivery and caught someone trying to steal it before I could get it brought in. Needless to say they will think twice in the future before stealing someone’s package. I’ll be buying 2 more as gifts.All in All, I love this smart doorbell it rocks.

the doorbell portion doesnât work consistently , but the view of the actual doorbell is good quality and always works. Itâs been hanging onto my wall outside through numerous storms so it is worth the money. If you want to hear the actual doorbell, you may want to get something else. The app does notify your phone if a visitor is approaching your house and also notifies if the doorbell has been rang.

This doorbell camera has been a great additional security and convenience feature for my apartment! It records in high definition, with the ability to take screen shots or save recordings as needed. The best part about it is that you do NOT need a subscription to have the great features available with this camera! Simply buy an SD card and you can store videos and event logs for a long as you want, with no additional cost. Even without an SD card, you get a free 6 second snippet that is logged in the proprietary secured cloud storage for 30 days without additional cost. You can also manually record clips of any length with no cloud storage use or additional charge. The camera is high quality, and has a good night vision mode. Having been a previous Blink, Ring, and Nest user who became tired of paying for an additional subscription to be able to record events, Boifun provides a great product for a low price with no recurring monthly charge. Apparently, you can have up to 6 cameras on your system with no additional charge as well! Add in that it comes with a convenient portable chime that you can put in your pocket and carry around the house, as well as a live messaging and calling service when someone rings the doorbell, this product easily competes with the big names for a fraction of the price. I will be using Boifun for all of my future home camera needs!TL/DR: Great quality, low entry level cost, no recurring monthly charge.

Très bon carillon avec appel transmis aussi sur téléphone ( distance bouton de sonnette à la bbox environ 20m). Bonne qualité d’image , belle finition. La configuration est aisée pour le téléphone maitre, un peu plus laborieuse pour le partage sur d’autres mais çà fonctionne aussi . Gros avantage, elle est équipée d’une batterie rechargeable sur port USB C . Rien de négatif pour l’instant.

This Boifun Smart Video Doorbell is of high quality. The 2K picture is excellent and so is the night vision. It’s easy to install app via the QR code provided. Easy to follow instructions to install the Smart Video Doorbell and link it to your WiFi and the chime included. Select from different chimes easily. The motion detection is fantastic and you can select different recording times. There is a subscription available, which is very affordable but not necessary, as you can use a memory card instead. There is also a siren you can activate to scare off any intruders. I’ve not yet used this function, so I’m unable to comment on it’s effectiveness. There’s also a intercom for speaking to people at your door. Everything I’ve used on this product as been excellent so far. The price is also great when comparing to other items of the same standard. The average battery life is supposed to be about 90 days, but I’ve not had it that long to comment on that. Overall, I’m very happy with this Smart Video Doorbell and would highly recommend it to anyone. ð

Colis arrivé très rapidement, merci.Facile et rapide à installer, ma sonnette est placée à plus de 12 mètres de ma box, et cette dernière fonctionne très bien.Belle qualité d’image de jour comme de nuit.Grâce à l’appli, je reçois des notifs afin de voir qui est à ma porte, c’est très pratique et sécurisant.Ma sonnette correspond tout à fait à mes attentes.
