Good supplemental heater
Works really well under a pillow my cat will not get off of. He is warm and cozy, but can simply get up and move if it gets too hot. Very basic, good price for what it is. No timer or temp control, but no problem.

There are a LOT of choices of this kind of product for sale on Amazon. I noticed this one had gotten good reviews, so I ordered this product some time ago. My purchase has completely outperformed any expectations, and has proved to be one of the most durable and reliable items I have EVER purchased off of Amazon. If you are at a loss as to which plug-in pet heating pad to try, all I can say is, that I am SO glad I chose this one out of all of them.I have an outdoor cat I take care of. Heâs semi-feral, and prefers living outdoors. I set up a shelter for him a few years ago and, as it snows here- not often, but it snows- and he finally started using it after a few weeks of sleeping on top of it. After a few months, knowing the cold weather was coming, I decided to put a heating source in his box with his bedding. He has a nice soft blanket and a cushion, and his box keeps direct cold drafts out of it, but when the temperature gets really low, I worried about him. I didnât have much money at the time I saw this product on Amazon, so I ordered the smallest size of one. When it showed up, it seemed kind of pathetic. It was about the size of a handkerchief. It didnât look like it was capable of much.Let me tell you- this product is AMAZING. You just plug it in, put it into the animalâs shelter (I sandwiched his between layers of his blanket) and the cat or dog etc. lays down on it and- this little thing keeps him as warm as hot toast. At first, too, I worried about keeping it plugged in all the time, but when he is not laying on it, it doesnât heat up. I have an outdoor extension cord running from his box on the back porch to and outlet, and have had no problems with it at all. Iâve had his little pad plugged in since November of 2022, and it is still going strong. It made me so happy to glimpse him curled up in his shelter, sleeping happily, warm and secure, safe from the cold outside world he had lived in for so long.My kitty friend is getting older, and I have a bit more to spend now, so I am upgrading to the Large sized heating pad. But I have to say- I really donât need to: the smallest one keeps him plenty warm. I will just keep the smaller sized pad, and when the larger one arrives, I will donate it to a shelter, as I am certain it has many years of life left in it.I cannot recommend this product more. It works so well that I kind of forgot about it, and had been meaning to write a review for it. But I just never thought about this little pad, because it was just so reliable. If you are on the fence about buying this product, or confused as I was by all of the choices, all I can say is- go for it. Sadly, it is a surprise these days that something we buy meets our expectations. And when a product performs this spectacularly- itâs a blessing. I have an outdoor cat that is in and out thru the winter.The temperatures are very good. I recommend only 110 or 115 degrees. 120 is too hot for my pets. They dont lay on it much when its too hot. I tested it out for a while by using it as a foot pad, yea, 120 was too hot for me too. I found the sweet spot and they love it!It has hours setting, from just a few hours to 24 hours and even on forever is an option. Set your time then set your temperature, its safe and waterproof and very warm!I have had mine going on 2 years now and my cat loves it! She is very thankful for it! Its 12 degrees outside right now, its 115 degrees on her bed inside her box!I definitely feel a lot better myself for having provided a warm place for her thru the winter.On a side note: These are also great foot warmers if your floor is cold below your desk. Just sayin’

Warm and safe
I was looking for a better bed warmer to place in my elderly dogs bed. He is 16 and has developed a love for the heating pad and heated blanket, but I can’t keep those on. I knew they have warmers for kittens/chick’s, so I searched and this came up. I saw many reviews saying it doesnt heat. According to the product description it heats up only when it senses your pet. This is true. I’ve felt it multiple times after he gets out of the bed,and it is warm. It’s really helped him calm down before bed and sleep through the night. I also love that I can just keep it plugged in all the time, no switches or off buttons to worry about.

Barely gets warm at all
Our ancient cat that constantly seeked out warm places to lay her old bones down would not use it. The vendor suggests to lay the warmer under a pillow for a while then feel if it got warm. And this one did, but when we inserted it into one of her favorite cat beds she just stopped using that bed. I believe it was so weak that she was actually warmer in that bed without it. We took it out and she started to use that bed again. We later purchased a different pet heating pad on this site and after a couple of days that one became the ONLY place she would lay.She is gone now, but she would not recommend this warmer. One star.

the first one I was sent didn’t work, I contacted the seller and they sent me out a replacement right away!Works fantastic and my cat loves it! I have a little cat bed on top of it in his cat tree, and he snuggles down and spends all day there! He’s a tiny little guy (8 lbs) so likes heat all year round, this is perfect!

Use under bedding in whelping box. Even heat, doesn’t have risk of overheating.

This is great. My bunny is 12 years old and less than 2 pounds. I was worried she would be too cold so I decided to give this a try. . As you can see, she loves it. At first I didnât really feel any heat come off, but after a couple of hours I could feelHer bed was warmer.

1. Not sure what the temperature supposed to be, but it doesn’t seem warm enough. Maybe because I added a cover then put another blanket on top of it, but I had to. Otherwise, it just doesn’t fit into my dog’s bed. Very awkward shape.2. There is no protection or coat in cord, so your dog would chew it off. I had to make sure it’s all covered by another blanket.3. I previously purchased the heated cover from the same company, but these two doesn’t work well together.I currently work from home and we do not have a printer at home… so cannot return. Really sucks.

Bought this to give my skinny pigs a place to get some extra warmth. I placed it under the bottom lining of their cage and the heat goes through the lining and the Guinea Dad pad giving them a nice place to get a little warmer if they so choose. My only critique is I found it pricey for what you get.
