Easy Setup – Intuitive enough app
These bulbs were easy to setup – just make sure you have a strong WiFi signal. The Cync app walks you through the setup so download that first. You can then program the lights for on/off and group lights so that you can set routines at once for all lights in that group. You can also set the light level using the app. I was also able to connect the app to Google Home app so that I can monitor all of my connected things in one place. I installed these bulbs in a sheltered from the elements space outdoors so hopefully they will be able to take the heat and cold.

easy to use and just plug and play
These lights are great when you donât want to buy a hub and have to mess with that. They configured very easily with the App. I have them on a dimmer that is also wifi but it wonât work from Alexa with these lights so I have to use the App that is designed for these lights. Also, the group function doesnât seem to sync with Alexa so perhaps I have to make a separate group function from Alexa, but then it is limited for example with the colors so using the App is just easier. I have two lights over my sofa area that give me mood lighting or softer lighting when watching TV so these are perfect. They have several scenes that are pre-installed but honestly I canât see using them. I do like that there are several temperatures of white as well as the entire spectrum of color options.

Nice lights. Occasional issues where they go offline. App has weird UI.
Nice size that replaced existing spot lights. These run way cooler in temperature than the old bulb lights. Some colors aren’t very vibrant. Work well with Google assistant control. GE Cync app has weird UI, but has been improving.

Love them
They don’t work ALL the time…maybe 98%, but they’re fixed easily but unplugging. I’ve bought a lot of these and never had any major issues with them. Love all the control I have over lighting and warmth and all that. Well worth it

Bathroom replacement
When the non-heat bulb near the tub/shower burned out I decided to get an LED replacement. Since I have most of my apartment using Alexa compatible lighting I searched for that capability and found these. When I plugged one in, I was pleasantly surprised at the brightness of this bulb. Using Alexa, I turned it down a little and began to play with colors to have a little more ambiance. I eventually found a combination of color and light strength that was comfortable and pleasant enough to use it as a night light to illuminate the whole bathroom. I highly recommend these for indoor use.

Bulbs unable to connect to App / CYNC App could not locate any of the Devices. Processing RETURNS.
Factory-Reset the devices / recessed downlights – the bulbs blinked as expected following installation instructions, but the CYNC App could not locate any of the Devices, after multiple trials. One of the bulbs just flickered continuously, as if may catch fire or explode. In my opinion GE Lighting is not ready for Prime Time with Smart-Lighting Technology products.

Very cool lights for indoor use
I bought a set of these to use in my house. They are very bright but can be dimmed if needed. I like how they can be paired through the app and that also allows you to change the colors of the lights simultaneously. It has some preset patterns and also allows you to select your own color/brightness. As long as the lights last a while they will be worth the cost.

One bulb base crushed
I bought these 4 months ago and held them as spares. I needed to install them today and opened the still sealed box. One of the bulb bases is crushed, which makes the bulb completely unusable and it is now past the return window. The other bulb is fine
