    Unexpectedly impressed: Highly recommend
Wow. I honestly didn’t expect much out of these things given they were some of the cheapest smart plugs I could find. Took a gamble and got 3 of them. The iOS app is VERY good. Everything about it is minimalistic, works smoothly, and uses native UI elements. Takes 30 seconds to connect each plug, and it saves your WiFi password so you don’t have to type it in every time you add a plug, which is one of several nice little touches. After spending a long time getting my Philips hue lights to connect to the right bridge, this was a dream. The whole setup process simultaneously has enough options to troubleshoot if something goes wrong, while also being super streamlined and simple to allow you to set up devices quickly. The device itself feels sturdy and the little light on the side is only on when the switch is in the on state, so it won’t bother me at night when all the lights are off. When it turns on/off there is an audible click as the relay inside switches states. It sounds like a quiet flick of a light switch. The routines work well, it’s easy enough to set up schedules for plugs, but it could definitely use some improvement to save time building all the schedules. Currently you create a routine for each plug and for every time you want it to turn on/off. So for 3 plugs to turn on from 7pm-12am it takes 6 routines (3 to turn on, 3 to turn off). It would be nice to be able to control multiple plugs in a single routine and have a selectable range for on/off. Other than that, the routine setup is easy and fires at the right times.I haven’t experienced any connection issues yet, whereas my Philips Hue lights almost regularly display as unreachable.

So easy to install – but get the bluetooth version.
These work great – I replaced some other brand (don’t even remember which one) that were very hit or miss and would just stop working altogether. These are so easy to set up (Google) I just open the Meross app (which I had anyway because I have their garage door opener as well – works great too!) and it finds them right away. Just give it a name and then head over to the Google Home app. And they are just there… no messing around hitting the + or anything in Google Home to get them to show they were instantly there. Added them to a room and then they show up in Home button (swipe down in android) and work perfectly.I won’t mess with the other brands after this. I bought more and setup my Mom’s living room lights so she just has to say “Hey Google Lights on” in the morning – No more worrying about her walking into a dark room. Added to more at my office for my fans – even set up an auto off timer in case I forget to turn them off. Again, everything just works so easily – no messing around.

Great inexpensive plug for higher current applications
Picked one of these up because it was a decent price and advertised that it would handle 16A. I had recently installed a small window ac unit, that although listed 7A, had a surge current greater than the 10A my other plugs were treated at, and thus killed the one I tested it with. I received this plug and downloaded the app it recommended, and setup was very simple. Once setting it up in the app, I had Alexa scan for new devices and it showed up immediately. But most importantly, it has no problem handling the surge current from the air conditioner, even on the highest setting. It’s rectangular in shape and wider than tall, which is much better than many of the round ones I’ve seen since it fits in the outlet better. Not that in this use case that’s important since it’s the only item using that circuit so as not to overload.Overall it’s a great plug. Works as advertised with higher current, setup was easy, and the app is simple and clean.

    Smart plugs
They work great for about 4 or 5 years. Then they start to intermittently start malfunctioning.

    Great for Tech Lovers
So, I recently grabbed the Meross Wi-Fi Smart Plug Mini, and wow, it’s been a total game-changer for my smart home setup! The 15 Amp capacity gives it the power to handle whatever I throw at it, and the Wi-Fi connection is rock-solid – no more annoying dropouts. T I can control everything with just my voice, thanks to Alexa compatibility. The app is super user-friendly, letting me use my devices even when I’m not at home. What blew my mind is that it only takes up one socket – perfect for my crowded power strips. No hub is needed

Finally got rid of all my Meross products!
I have 84 devices on my home network across 5 manufacturers. I had several Meross products (mostly smartplugs and lightbulbs).EVERY time there was a power outage (I live in NC and have Duke Energy so that happens a LOT) OR the router was rebooted, all of the Meross products had to be set up all over again. NONE of my other devices form the other 4 manufacturers ever had an issue, only Meross.I contacted them numerous times to ask why this was happening but NEVER GOT EVEN ONE RESPOMSE.The BEST that I have fond is TP Link. they are very dependable and I have never had an issue with any of these products.Today, I tossed the last Meross product I have in the trash and feel pretty good about it.If you have money and time to waste, I highly recommend Meross. IF however, you want something that works and doesn’t cost you a lot of extra time, I recommend you buy something else.

With things like Alexa and Google Assistant becoming more popular in the last couple of years, the idea of automating some of the outlets at home has been on my mind. So I decided to give this smart plug a try.THINGS I LIKE:- Allows you to turn on / off the power to any device remotely, whether you’re at home or across the globe (as long as you have internet access, of course).- Works like a charm and exactly as advertised. So far I’ve only tried it with the Meross phone app and not with Amazon Alexa, but I haven’t had a single issue with it.- Easy to set up and simple to use. Just open up the app, follow the simple prompts, and you’re done. To use it, open the app and press a button to toggle on and off – simple as that.- The app allows you to schedule times to automatically turn it on / off. You can also set it to turn off after a defined number of minutes.- Button on the side allows you to turn on / off the plug manually, without going through the app.- Only takes up one plug, without covering the other one on the outlet. For power bars, however, it may take up more than one spot, depending on the layout of the power bar.- Rating of 15A and 1800W will work with a great range of devices and appliances.THINGS I DON’T LIKE:- There are two key features missing from the app (at least the Android version): (1) Widgets that allow to toggle on / off without going into the app and (2) automated location-based toggles (i.e. turns on / off automatically when it detects your phone in a certain location).- Compatibility with Google Assistant is not currently there. Although it is supposedly coming via a software update, who knows when this will happen.- Can’t use this device to power on / off devices without a mechanical switch. For example, I can’t use it with a desk lamp I have that has an electronic on / off switch.Overall, I really like this thing. It’s awesome being able to turn on / off lights when I’m traveling, to help keep burglars away (for example). $30, while certainly not cheap (especially if you need multiple plugs), is a reasonable price for something like this. And given this particular model works flawlessly, it would be a great addition to your home automation system.

Only had it for a day so far, but here are my initial thoughts:1. the device is a little bigger than I was expecting (no big deal really … haha)2. the packaging is straightforward and simple (as it should be). Nothing fancy is needed here.3. the instructions for the initial setup are printed on the outside of the box. The instructions are simple, yet very accurate. My only knock is that the printing is very small.4. there is a printed card with instructions on the inside as well. The printing here is a little bigger than what’s on the outside of the box. Again, very simple to follow – and accurate. One nice touch is that the instructions are also written in clear concise English … not like the instructions you might find from other Chinese products with poor translations … these instructions are well written.5. there are no printed instructions for connecting to Google Home. I had to find those instructions inside the app. But again, the instructions were very well written and accurate (yes, I was pretty impressed with the instructions).6. my setup time, from out of the box, to having it fully setup and working Google Home was about 5 minutes in total. And that included a minute or 2 for a firmware update to the device. The initial setup in the app was fast and easy and the setup with Google Home was similarly fast and easy.7. it just works!! I have it connected to my treadmill (and it’s a bigger sized treadmill too) so that I don’t have to bend over and find the stupidly placed power switch. I did a 1/2 hour walk on the treadmill last night and the device had no problem with the power load.Overall, I’m really quite impressed with this little device! If the time every comes that I need more, I’ll be coming straight back here!

I bought four of these MSS110 smart plug minis and have had no problems at all setting them up on my Wi Fi. This is a very well built quality product and boxed in a great quality package. I received my order very promptly (3 Days) and everything was very well packed. The only minor issue that I would like to mention, is when I later tried to add another smart plug to my Google Home app after the first one was added, the only option I had was to unlink my Meross account and then relink the Meross account in order for Google Home to see the newly added plug. I am using another company’s smart Light Bulbs with Google Home and if I want to add another Smart light bulb, I have the option to add other devices or unlink that company’s account to the Google Home app.

I started off with just one of these a couple of years ago. Overtime I now have six of them. I find them extremely useful for turning lamps and other electronic devices on and off. Very easy to set up and use and very stable, hardly ever crash so to speak. Works with an app on my iPhone all in one place love these plugs.

I bought this device to replace a broken remote power switch for my electric fireplace. This is actually a cheaper option and is more convenient using it with Google Home rather than having another remote to keep track of.Set up is very easy after downloading the app to an Android device. Config worked first time with no issues and easy to follow instructions. I have it assigned to my Google Home for control through a Google Mini. Control is now as simple as telling Google to turn my fireplace on or off.I have had this running for a few weeks now and have not had any connectivity loss. I expect to buy a few more to expand my Google Home.Great product at a reasonable price.
