Health Benefits That Equal Nutritional Benefits
Our family has been using chia seeds for the past year with wonderful health benefits. We put them in salads, cooked cereals; stir-fried dishes, baking of all sorts, soups, yogurt and dips. The foods they can be mixed with are endless. Be sure to drink water when eating chia unsoaked.Getting the ‘nutritional value’ from these tiny seeds is valuable but the help they also provide to the ‘digestive tract’ is BEYOND words. I mix them with flax seed,(1/2 cup whole flax seed, 1/2 cup chia and approx.2 to 3 cups water in a quart jar) stir every 10 minutes 2 or 3 times, let sit at room temp overnight then put in the refrig. It will be very thick. Twice a day use ‘2 TBSP per serving’ in whatever food desired. For years I struggled, daily taking ‘expensive medications’ to help with bowel function that was only getting worse. The medications were causing problems of their own, requiring more to be taken, more often. I was looking at surgery in the future if the situation didn’t get turned around. I read how to use the ‘chia flax seed mix’ and decided to give it a chance.I slowly cut back on the medications, slowly adding the chia seed mix to my diet. It took about 2 to 3 weeks to wean off ‘ALL’ medication using chia seed mix in various foods. The improvements are MANY and the ‘awful pain’ is gone. My body is functioning almost normal. Six months ago, I shared this information with a friend with Parkinson’s who had similar problems. She has had the same improvements and no longer takes expensive medication. Add to that the wonderful nutritional benefits.Hope this helps someone else. Go slow, use good judgement and reasonableness. This may not help everyone, depending on individual health issues. But it could help ‘many’ if given the time and effort needed. This chia is good quality at a reasonable price. I will be ordering from them again.

Great quality and quantity for a great price
Great quality and quantity for a great price! I like buying chia seeds whole and grinding them as needed to make sure that the Omega oils stay fresh and don’t get Rancid. Store them in a cool dry place to protect the oils. I highly recommend these chia seeds. They are the same quality as more expensive ones I’ve tried. Chia seeds are healthy natural whole food and not some manufactured supplement, so enjoy them as often as possible. I try to use at least a quarter cup a day. They absorb an amazing amount of liquid. Make sure they are well hydrated before you eat them so that they don’t dehydrate you! I add them to everything I can think of but the most convenient thing is as an instant hot cereal in the morning with some hot water and sweetener. You couldn’t almond milk or whatever liquid you like . You can make this hot cereal with them ground or whole, but I prefer using them whole this way.

Very Pleased
I ordered this product primarily driven by the price. I read the reviews on Amazon and I thought they were work a try. The seeds were shipped very promptly, arriving several days before they were promised. The packaging was sturdy, they even included a free sample of a chia fruit bar.The seeds come in 2, 3 lb bags. The bags are sealed, and have a zip-lock seal to ensure closure after opening. Made it very convenient to throw one bag in the freezer for storage, and open one for use. Seeds seem to be of high quality. There is no off odor, and there did not seem to be any detritus (twigs, leaves, insects) in the package.I have used the seeds on a regular basis since I made the purchase. I have added to smoothies, cereals, eggs, coffee, and even to water during and after a workout.Cant beat the price, would definitely purchase again.

Unbeatable price for quality seeds
I bought the seeds to get some extra fiber in my smoothies. I use frozen strawberries and frozen blueberries together, plus 1 TBSP of the black chia seeds. The only thing I have to do differently is add a little more liquid than before (I use filtered water). I put the frozen berries in my smoothie blender first, then add the filtered water, and then add the chia seeds. After blending the smoothie the first time it was a bit thicker than without the seeds, so I added more water and blended again. The chia seeds soak up a good bit of liquid. I have not noticed any difference in the flavor of the smoothie, just a difference in the thickness. The seeds themselves come in very heavy duty re-closeable plastic bags. Very pleased with the quality and the unbeatable price.

Love it!
I love the Chia and love the price! I’ve never used Chia before a friend, two weeks ago, gave me some as a thank you for something I did for her. She also left me a book to check out called, Chia by Wayne Coates, PhD. I quickly worked my way up to a tablespoon three times a day. My digestion system has never been so great in my whole life of 76 years. A week ago my man awoke at 1:15 a.m. with a gruesome case of food poisoning, and I swear the Chia seeds saved me from the same nasty experience. We ate the same food, but I only had a clearing of the intestinal dept. with ease. He had not started using the seeds at that time. I simply put a tablespoon of seeds in an ice cream dish and add very warm to mildly hot water, stirring ’til all seeds are very well mixed in and let sit for 10 to 15 minutes or until gelatinous. I add about 1 tablespoon of 100% Grape Juice frozen concentrate for a treat to the taste buds, and enjoy!

Small rocks
I sometimes find small rocks in my chia seeds. I don’t know if those are really hard chia seeds, but certainly there are some grains that are as hard as a small rock.
