Really Great Heated Mattress Pad
I’ve had a Sunbeam heated mattress pad for quite some years, it was great, several settings and was easy to wash. When I went to replace it I was concerned that I would not find one of the same quality but now that I’ve had it for a few months I can say this heated mattress pad is terrific and I like the features. Mine is the King size, comes with 2 controllers which you have to make sure you have correctly located as the wiring goes from the mattress pad to one controller and then the other and then to the outlet. My old one was different, the controllers plugged in one to each side of the mattress. To be clear, the plug is at the center of the foot of the mattress pad so it won’t get in your way if you are tall. The pad was generous in depth so I got some mattress clips to help hold it in place and not bunch up under me. I advise you to do the same when you buy the mattress pad and save yourself from taking it off and putting it back on.The controllers have the power readout numerically, and a readout of the hours remaining until auto shut off which I think is a good feature. What I didn’t like is that there is no plastic bracket or hood to hang the controller on the side board of the bed so you have to lay it someplace, I may get some velcro and attach it that way so I can pull it up to change it and it won’t be in the way. There is a center On button that turns it on or off when pressed. What I wasn’t wild about was the led light stays on when the power is on, yes a nice safety feature but if a little bit of light bothers you then you’ll want to attach this or place it so the light is shielded.The pad itself is nice quality, you can’t feel the small wires when you are laying on it at all. I haven’t washed it yet but it appears well made, (sewn) and hopefully won’t come apart.

This electric mattress pad is one of the best things I have ever bought. It goes under your bottom sheet or even the mattress pad you now use. Thatâs how I have mine. The electric pad stays cleaner that way. This is so much better than an electric blanket. It is not on top of you like a heavy blanket is. Easy controls for two people and the controls are adjustable. I sleep with one top sheet and a very lightweight blanket over me. Thatâs all. I am warm as can be with this mattress pad. I highly recommend this item for anyone in cold weather.

I bought this over getting a new heated blanket, and so far, it’s been so much better. The sheet also doesn’t come off the bed as easily as normal sheets. We have it under our regular sheet, so it stays /more/ clean. It really has been a lifesaver on cold days/nights, especially for soreness in my back when my joints need some heat!I enjoy that the remotes wrap around the bed for easier access. My heated blanket of the same brand had the remote stuck at the foot of the bed, so it’s been super convenient. My partner and I really like that we can heat our own sides how we want without disturbing each other too much. I tend to have my side closer to 8-12 (max), and he has his around 5-7. I’m hoping the internal heating cords in the sheet last longer than my heated blanket’s heating cords. Since heated blankets move around more, they tend to break more easily. This is a far better option so far.

I bought a new pad to replace an older sunbeam pad that was dying and giving us errors. I’ll compare the old and new models as the reviews on this page cover both.The older models of this pad have a gray controller, the newer models have a white one. The older model had slightly different features, including a “pre-heat” setting that ran hotter for about 30 min before going back to the set heat level, and a “stay on” feature the prevented the pad from turning off. I can’t recall the number of temperature settings, but we never used the upped end. The plug was 4 pins and slightly bulkier.On the newer model, there is no pre-heat or stay on. There is an auto shut off that can be set for 1-12 hours. There are 12 heat settings but I’ve never used higher than 6. The plug is 5 pins and thinner than the old model. The new model also seems to be much larger – the king fits a pillow top California King mattress with room to spare, while the older version barely fit.The pad works well so far. It warms up fast, you can’t feel the wires under you, and with 2 control zones each partner can pick their own level. It’s nice having a variable timer on the auto off, you can set it to warm for just a few hours and then stop. I take 1 star off because the new model have blue backlighting on the controls that cannot be turned off – blue light disrupts sleep, the light should either turn off on its own or be red. It’s bright enough that I had to cover mine, which obviously makes it harder to adjust the controls.

Love this heated mattress pad
I don’t do many reviews, but had to do this one because I love this heated mattress pad. It’s like a full body heating pad if you want or just keeps the bed warm if you have to get up for a few minutes during the night. I read a review before buying it, where someone said the sound of the click on the control was too loud; that hasn’t been an issue for me, but could be because I love having the bed warm more than I care about the sound. Have used electric blankets in the past and was not a fan of the heat draped over me. Laying on the heat and being able to adjust an ankle or arm so the heat hits a specific spot is fantastic. Hope this makes sense.

I recently replaced an older mattress pad heater with this one and really like it. A major improvement over the old one is the electric connection of the controls to the mattress pad. That was a source of problems with the old one. Reasonable price and works as advertised. Highly recommend.

I like how easy it was to put this on the bed and get started. The controls are easy to see and adjust, even in the dark. I love that you can adjust the temperature and the duration for each setting. I turn the heat on the highest setting about 5 – 10 minutes before getting into bed, and turn the temperature down to 2. I usually set it for 6 hours, sometimes 5 depending on when I have to get up. Hubby and I both have our heat set to 2, which is plenty warm – even on the coldest nights. Morning stiffness is negligible since we started using this. We have only had it for about 3 weeks, but so far, so good. We both love how much better, and more deeply we sleep with the heat from below. Itâs glorious, and feels wonderful to crawl into a warm, cozy bed.

I absolutely love my Sunbeam Heated Mattress Cover!It heats up very quickly and gets very warm on the high setting – so much so I need to turn it down!The Pre-Heat Setting is awesome to turn on prior to bed time.My bed use to be ice cold getting into and now that I have this heated cover, it’s my favorite place to be!So comfy I don’t want to ever get out of bed in the morning! lolI almost was going to get a heated blanket to warm up my bed but this is sooo much better! as it is fitted to the mattress and always in place! Highly recommend, you will love it!!

Like the pad, fits and works well and is comfortable. But I would like to see two things….1) a bracket to mount the controls that you could mount to wall etc, so that they are secure and withing easy reach. Cable that goes to controls is rather heavy so they don’t sit well unless taped down, some sort of mount would be better so that in hot months if not used could be put away.2) An option to change the timer for auto off, or a countdown timer would work best, set for maximum time to only an hour or two, when done is shut off. Sometimes it’s great to start off nice and warm but as you fall asleep I find that you overheat and wake up to shut off and are uncomfortable until you cool down a bit.
