I found this product when taking the sugar-detox challenge, it was suggested to help break the cravings. As I read about the product, its other benefits and the reviews I took a chance because it was so affordable to do so. I’m not a vitamin junkie and I’ve never tried a protein product before my dietary decisions and limitations often have me thinking about whether I’m getting enough protein. It was just a low-lying thought though, I didn’t experience anything to validate the thought (or so I thought-I’ll come back to this).It is odorless and tasteless, to me. I’ve noticed some comments where those who have tried it in coffee can taste it. I think that for them it may be similar to how I think about water. Some people can really taste the difference in various brands of bottled water and others cannot. It dissolves easier in hot, warm, or room temperature drinks and clumps in cool or cold drinks. If I want to have a cold water I start with just enough warm to mix the protein first and add cold afterwards continually stirring until it’s dissolved. I use it mostly in water and find that a wider glass is better (more water) to minimize cloudiness. Bottom line for me is I can’t taste or smell it and if it discolors the water it looks like lemon water so I’m grate with that.What differences I’ve noticed? I didn’t really think there would be a quick change but in the first three days of using the product (1 scoop in the morning and 1 after work) a few things I recognized. Day one I realized I felt a little more pep in my step and I didn’t have my normal evening snack (sugar or salt) need. Day two the same experience but when that evening snack time came I realized I wanted something in my mouth but it wasn’t because I was hungry but because it was habit. I had some water got out of my chair and found something to do and the feeling quickly passed. Day three, I lost three pounds!! I weigh myself everyday so I know this was because of the protein. I’m almost finished with my first canister and I haven’t gained that weight back. I also noticed 2+ weeks in I had an unusual situation at work that aggravated me quite a bit. I found myself eating multiple sweet items – it was overload I never eat that much junk at time or even in a day before this product. That experience was proof that I stress eat, another thing I never really recognized before. I continue to take it and despite that day of stress I quickly bounced back recognizing that I’m not actually hungry I’m determined to break the routine.I’ve bought some for my mom and my sister each interested because of what I experienced. Mom keeps thinking she has to buy something to use it like smoothie stuff or milk despite I’ve told her water is just fine (got to love her). My sister noticed that she didn’t eat as much the first day of use. I plan to continue using this protein, in fact I’m buying some of the ‘stick’ packages for travel use. I apologize my review is so long, I don’t normally write this much but this is the first product I’ve purchased that I didn’t know I need and I’m glad I did.

Easy protein on-the-go
These are my go-to protein packs for when I’m out and about. At work, on the road, or at the gym, just tear open the packet and stir into your waterbottle or shaker. I like to add a little liquid IV, or anything like that, but it’s nearly flavorless. Dissolves easily, unless there’s ice in the water, and is great for getting in that protein, to keep you fuller and stronger! Collagen is great for skin, nails, hair as well.

I am new to collagen supplements and started taking Further Food Collagen Peptides about 6 weeks ago, at the recommendation of my massage therapist. He’s 45 and looks about 25 and when I asked him what his secret he said no booze and collagen supplements so I thought I’d sign up. I also have joint pain and he said that collagen is good for that as well. I put 1-1/2 to 2 scoops in my 12oz coffee every morning along with the Bullet Proof brain food supplement. So far I’ve had great results and ones that I didn’t even know to expect. My hair, skin and nails are noticeably better. I usually get a pit of pattern acne and have had none since I started taking collagen, my skin is brighter and smoother and seems to retain moister better and the ridges in my nails have reduced noticeably. I have also noticed a reduction of pain in my wrist and hip joints (but I also started taking turmeric at about the same time, which is an anti inflammatory so that could be helping as well. I am a collagen convert!Update here – I tried a couple other brands because the sticker on Further Food is high, but I came back to Further Food because I did not get the same results with the other brands – I’m not sure what the difference is, but this one is just better – maybe it has something to do with absorption? Anywho, I’ve been using it on and off for a few years now and am still impressed with the results. When I take it daily I see a noticeable improvement in my digestion, inflammation and appearance of cellulite…I can tell its helping me with skin laxity. I’ve also been able to grow my hair longer than it has ever been – and overall thickness has improved. Official collagen cult member here.
