Slow and steady but it works
First of all, I want to make sure that people who seek to use IPL, and specifically this IPL device, are aware that hair reduction is not a quick process and that a claim for 96 percent hair reduction in 2 weeks is a marketing claim that won’t work for many people with coarse hair. That being said, I still like this device.Before purchasing this device myself, I saw some reviews about people with burns on their legs because they went full ham without testing the device first. While I did not have that issue, I also patch tested as the product instructs in the manual. Make sure you do that first. IPL is strong. I did notice that in places where I didn’t shave close enough, there was a little snapping sensation. It’s not great, but it’s still way less painful than the professional laser removal that I did years ago (yes, it grows back. I would rather spend a little money on a device then have to pay a boatload for professional treatments from here to eternity). And honestly, I am fine with a little pain, because my last device was defective, and I didn’t know it for a year because I never felt any pain and thought that’s how it works.But just shave well right before you use it and it won’t be a problem. I also found that I have less razor burn and ingrown hairs, so having to shave every two days isn’t causing irritation like I used to experience.I have brown hair and fair skin, and hormonal issues and genetics make having less hair desirable. I have been using this device for about three weeks now and have noticed the growth is slowing down. Before, I would notice all the hair growing back within 8 hours. Now, I have spots where it’s smooth for a couple of days. I probably would be seeing more results now if I had read the part about doing a couple passes on the Fast, High, or Normal mode. Again, it’s important to read all the instructions.I’m currently treating the bikini area, armpits, and face. However, I hope to start treating the legs once I can lessen the frequency of sessions on the current areas. Treatment currently takes about 20 minutes because I do the SHR on some of it, and a couple of passes of High mode on the rest. Would I love it if a device could actually treat the whole body in 10 minutes and see all the hair go away in 14 days? Sure, but you also have to wonder how strong and risky that device would be, because professional treatments, though done less frequently because they’re more powerful, still take a year and a half to take effect.After years of watching the hair grow back though I paid thousands of dollars, and trying other devices at home, I’m just thrilled to see that the device is actually working.

I’m absolutely thrilled with the results after using the Ulike Air 10 IPL for about 5 weeks. It works wonderfully on coarse hair, including men’s hair, and the hair growth has slowed down significantly. I’ve used it on my face below the cheekbones, arms, armpits, legs, bikini area, and even my backside, and the results are amazing everywhere! It’s not painful as long as you shave well before using it. It’s really easy to use, isn’t loud at all, the cooling feature is awesome it truly makes a difference. Totally worth it!!!!!! It has various settings, I started in the fast mode and move my way up to high! Is lightweight, easy to manipulate, it has an automatic function so you don’t have to presss the bottom every time!The aloe vera gel they provide is also fantastic—it really helps soothe the skin after treatment. The customer service is exceptional too; they emailed me personally to ask about my satisfaction and if everything arrived okay. They even sent me a free gift that wasn’t included in the Amazon package but is available on their website. I’m so happy with both the product and the company and will definitely support them again!

I bought this during a prime day sale. I have been using this every other day for 5 weeks now on my under arms and bikini line… have not had any reduction in hair. My skin is fair and my hair is brown so according to the chart it should work. Very disappointed, and unfortunately to “see results” you have to keep using beyond the return period. I wish I could return this product as it was a waste of money.
