listen to audiobooks?
If you use Libbyapp to listen to audio books this player is a great device. This device similar to an iPad in capabilities but fits in your pocket. You can load books at your computer and then play them anywhere offline. Music too. The one I purchased is user friendly and works well. It is an upgrade from the very small MP3 player that I had used for many years to listen to audio books.

Great music player, amazing customer service
I’ve gone through about 8 different music players, trying to find one that’s worth keeping. This one finally does it for me. Massive amounts of storage, well built, good OS (Android 8.1), and everything is translated to English much much better than other company’s players. Every feature I wanted from other players (EQ while using Bluetooth, sorting songs via folders and not playlists, etc.) is finally in a player. Now, after about a month of using it, the player just stopped working one night. I tried everything, but it wouldn’t turn on. I reached out to Innioasis’ customer support and they immediately responded and were very apologetic and sent me a new player at no extra cost. And since most of the storage is on the micro SD card, I can easily put all of the songs from my broken player to the new one.

Died within three months of light use
The headline says it all – it’s dead within three months of delivery.Superficially, it’s a nice product. Small, good capacity, satisfactory sound if you run it through headphones or external speakers. I agree with one of the other reviewers that the software is poor. I got the impression that I’d be able to download and install mp3-player software of my choice, but never figured out how to do it (and I’m a computer guy). It may be doable, but there’s a limit on how much time I’m willing to spend on something like that. The bottom line, however, is that it’s dead. The last time I tried to use it it wouldn’t turn on. Thinking I’d left it on and run out the battery, I hooked it up to a battery pack for charging, but it won’t take a charge; it’s now a small and ineffective paperweight. Maybe the device is a piece of nicely-finished junk, or maybe the manufacturer has quality-control problems. Either way, I recommend that if you want this kind of a gadget, pick a different one.

Plays all Audible and Library audiobooks
I waited to write this review because I wanted time to use the device. The first week I almost returned it, but the pros outweighed the cons in the end. There were three things I was looking for in a new MP3 device — a sleep timer (because I use it a lot at bedtime), access to the Audible Plus Catalogue (those books are not downloadable to an MP3 player like the Sansa models), and access to the audiobooks from the Library. Of course size and weight are always an issue — smaller and lighter always better.1. Size and weight. Think of this model as a small telephone without call, recording, or camera capabilities. It is definitely larger and heavier than my Sansa models at 4.3 x 2.4 x 0.4 inches (more with the protective clear case) and 4.5 oz. That has taken some getting used to, but not a deal breaker.2. Sleep timer. Does it have one? Yes and no. This MP3 works with apps (as does your cell phone). If the app has a sleep timer, then it works. This means that audiobooks from Audible and the Library (Libby) has a sleep timer, all of the music apps (Amazon Music, Pandora, etc.) do not. The other downside is that the device does not shut down — only the app stops. When on and inactive, the device does not use much power however so about 20% is lost overnight.3. The apps are pre-downloaded. I LOVE THIS. Use what you want.4. Yes to the Audible Plus Catalogue. Finally, I don’t have to use my phone or a tablet to listen to these audible selections.5. Yes to the Library audiobooks. Using Libby, the layout is easy to understand. With effort, I still can download onto my older MP3 models, but the books are in sections and hard to find the Chapters.6. Sound quality. I was delighted that there was a speaker. It is not the greatest, but for audiobooks it works. If using the AUX earbuds or a bluetooth hookup, then the sound is very good for music and for audiobooks also.

Not Just For Kids
Itâs amusing if not worrying that the smartphone has become such an everything device that alternatives to many of its features have vanished. One casualty has been the small, portable music and audiobook player. The fact that the G3 exists may be due to a market for smartphone features for children without giving them a smartphone. You can play music, and audiobooks, read Kindle books, and have internet access through WiFi and a solid connection to Bluetooth devices. Yet it can fit well within the common shirt pocket. Itâs a splendid device for adults too whoâve seen multitasking for what it is â an often painful compromise leading to attention span deficits. If you prefer to focus on what youâre listening to without telephone and text interruptions, the G3 is ideal.WiFi and Bluetooth are solid; the touchscreen UI is outstanding. The size is perfect. It makes my smartphone seem enormous, yet I can read Kindle books on its small screen. But there are caveats. These are all related to its target audience: children. The installed music player is good but the volume is limited. I installed a more capable player â Neutron. But that involves a second bit of child-proofing. You cannot install apps involving Google Play. You cannot install any apps at all without first setting up a Parental Controls password and expressly enabling the installation of apps. You can install Android apps from *.apk files, however. This is how I installed Neutron.I had many setup issues but product support for this device is OUTSTANDING! They thoroughly answered my *many* questions â including short videos and written answers. And they did so *on a Sunday* and from a time zone far from my own. This has been a long hunt for me. My smartphone is plagued with constant spam and scams. I needed the noise to stop so my brain could fully engage. And this does it all until they implant the mandatory intracranial microchip. Just kidding. Mostly.

I really hope they keep makeing these. the music and video players are rather nice. I it is kind of a pain to side load apps but for what it comes with is nice and works well especially when playing audio books or personal off line video content. the speaker is a little quiet but usable. works great with my 400g micro sd that is almost full of conntent. it does get stuck on wired headphones though. still my go to device for off line content. works good for my audible content as well. Wish the battery lasted longer though.

Was skeptical at first thinking it might not handle all the files I throw at it but was very surprised it works better than an android phone with an external nvme drive connected to it using VLC. This works flawlessly with all my files when VLC on my android phone would give me many issues. The music and video apps run very well and are intuitively designed which I appreciate. I do not have much use for the wifi, bluetooth or the streaming apps but it is a nice addition for those who might want to use them. So far I am really enjoying this MP3 player and the price doesn’t break the bank. Being able to use a 1TB micro SD makes this a very powerful ipod replacement and I am very happy I gave this device a chance. There are also many equalization options which was nice to see. This genuinely seems like a well thought out media player.

…if you buy an extra micro SD card, make sure you buy one with the higher speed. I got a cheap 20 quid one and not everything transferred, the few bits that did the playback was tinny. I returned that card and bought a high speed 1tb micro sd card, not only does it work for transferring the sound quality massivey improved when playing back on this mp3 player. So those who have issue with sound quality, invest in the better micro sd card and the play back is fantastic. Now the mp3 player itself, its light, small, easy to charge. You will have to go in settings and make sure the volume is up the first time, but after that it is fine. Everything opens lightning quick and playback lasts all day. What I love is, I have close to 1tb of music organised in folders on there, spotify and audible and even some videos. I can switch between anything instantly and playback is fine, no buffer issues or anything like that and it works so quick. I use wireless headphones an wifi on mine, so the bluetooth and wifi obviously should drain batteries quicker, but I never seem to have an issue, I use it for hours at high volume and scroll through it continuously and the battery lasts. I still charge it each night and unplug when it reaches 100%my critiques are only minor so it doesn’t really affect rating. One is the player used for music can take a little to get your head around at first. The other is when scrolling through your mp3’s it doesnt display the whole name, unless you can change that in settings somewhere. It displays the whole name when playing an mp3 but not when scrolling through. so do make sure you organise your music properly.it comes with an Aux cable (very handy) some ear buds (I haven’t tried because I use wireless headphones) but no case, not even a pouch, but you can buy a case for it on amazon and I really recoomend you do so.It aso displays mp3 art, but doesn’t seem to on folder art, if you changed the .ico file to the album cover on your compuer, this doesn’t seem to read that, unless of course there is a different setting, but it will display the attached images to mp3s, but for someone like me who uses .FLAC and .WAV files, it would be good to have it display folder art.
